The Nevermore is an avian that has features resembling those of several other bird species. Two notable examples of this are its resemblances to condors and ravens. Like other Grimm, it has a mask-like, white bony structure overlaying the upper front of its head. It also has four glowing red eyes, two on each side of its head. The headpiece also includes a dorsal spine or fin, reminiscent of that on the heads of condors and some prehistoric pterosaurs.
My favorite song of the entire volume, if not the entire series. And this is coming from someone who ships Blake with Sun first. To me, this song represents overcoming abuse and torment before the establishment of a ship.
I mean it is pretty much that, the ship is a side thing on this song. Its not even subtle about it, literally says there's nothing to celebrate here because a boy who got lost is now dead.
That’s what I love about this song, the fact that it works perfectly no matter what your thoughts on who Blake will end up with. I mean, considering how vocal pretty much everyone on both sides of the ship war are, that’s an incredible feat if you ask me
I absolutely love this song. To me it has a very powerful message about overcoming an abusive relationship and moving on from it, no matter how hard it is. Very powerful song.
Reflecting now this was one of the most satisfying conclusions to an arc that I've ever seen on a show. Epic build up for 6 seasons, then a shocking end in which both the victims of Adam's abuse work together to finally defeat him once and for all, then this full song drops at the end. Like wow. So powerful.
There is like 10x more character development in the soundtrack than in the actual show because all the characters are too busy expositing or going over the same emotional plot points to actually develop.

This entire soundtrack knocks it out of the park ! Every song is fire ! The only thing bad I could say is Lionized is my least prefered song out of this volume but it's still not even close to bad

Fun fact for you, but it can also be read as a pun (one I don't know if Jeff and Rooster Teeth intended or not, but there nevertheless). In boxing what gets referred to as "the lead" is (usually) your dominant hand and what tends to be what you start punching or any of your other moves with. And Yang is right-handed, which arm did Adam cut off again? ...yeah, he literally took the lead in *both* senses XD
I can't help but notice that one of the two singers in this song seems to be singing in a Southern accent. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be Blake after looking at the lyrics, and which voice sings which lyric, but I don't care. That Southern voice is Yang. BEEHAW I'm not the only who hears that accent right?
*_Quoth the Raven..._* *_NEVERMORE..!_* Part of me wonders if RWBY took a risk similar to the one that Bionicle took which helped make it such an immortalized fantasy for so many: a smaller, simpler concept that got attention and wished to grow as a result of the way they aspired others. Hells, I even see similar tropes in their storytelling, funnily enough! 😂 "The red one is in charge" "Music makes the tavern's money!" "White = snow magic. Got it." "Oh no! The animals are attacking!" Etc.
I see this song as the feeling of finally defeating something that destroyed your life, not a bumbleby ship. I wish people would seriously stop obsessing over their ships because it annoys the rest of us who genuinely love the show without obsessing over girls kissing or fucking every five seconds.

I want to like this song I really do, it's great But with how Adam was handled and how rushed Blake and Yang's relationship was to please the fans I just can't It makes me think about what could have been and I just get sad
This is how Bad Luck Charm should've been written. If Nevermore were to end around 3:45 then it would be like Bad Luck Charm but they gave the song a proper bridge and used the Chorus again like in Nevermore, which would've made Bad Luck Charm so much better
I feel they accidentally created a villain song for Blake and Yang. Since these two characters along with other heroes are Designated Heroes in later seasons.
Adam should’ve been revealed to have been alive at the end of V6 then in V7 we see him slowly go insane then finally in V8 he comes back and attempts to kill Blake in the schnee manor while the hound is running around THEN Blake kills him by fuckin falling through the skylight and tying her ribbon to his neck then stopping herself at a high floor and letting Adam drop to the bottom hanging him

This is the only song of all the ones that exist in RWBY that I do not like ... Maybe it's because I relate it to the great disappointment that caused me the end of the volume XD
Same. Its an incredible song but i associated it to the endless fucking ship wars and i cant listen to it without getting annoyed. Also because the lyrics glorify the dissapointement that is Yang and Blake "character developement" this past seasons. Also Adam was a waste and get another beatdown in the lyrics.
I thoroughly disagree. This song is about somebody who has finally beaten, and achieved freedom from the one that had Abused her, and kept her feeling guilty. This song isn't about a "ship". Yes, it's sung in the eyes of Blake and Yang, but currently, this is about Blake, who has finally broken free from her abuser, and gained her own conscious mind with the help of her best friend and partner, Yang.
@@MakuAG The song is being sung from the perspectives of two people who have overcome a great mental obstacle. Adam was handled fine and the ship that you people are so hysterical about isn't even canon. If the shippers didn't exist, I can guarantee that the end of volume 6 wouldn't have been interpreted that way. Move on already.
R Adam was handled pretty poorly lol. I like the song and the ship is whatever I guess, but I thought it was stupid the way Adam was killed off like that. We don’t have to “move on,” if we felt that it was a poor decision then we can be irritated with it, but go off I guess.
