@@alexjd1278 Oh, I don't duobt that's exactly how they handle it. Because they've fucked up 4 seasons in a row, what're the chances THIS one gets better? Zilch. RT's gone down the toilet and taken the shower curtains with it.
Vexed: “Where is Yang running too?” Obviously she WAS going to go fight some enemies but she’s rushing back to the airship cause got a text from Blake saying she’s all alone 😏.
"Nothing's changed". Well, the problem's that nothing hasn't changed. Get it? Since Cinder's nothing and refuses to grow as a character? I'll show myself the door. (Seriously though, good point)
@@bunnyattic0009 I don't even think a backstory could salvage this character at this point because they've went for WAY too long without it. So anything it could be now that WOULD HAVE been interesting or compelling or maybe even empathetic or pitiable is thrown out the window when all you've seen is "Definitive evil Cinder, she's bad because she's a bad guy"
You know having Ruby’s plan be ironwood’s plan from last season is like how in Star Wars had Leia try to get help from other planets only to have it not work only to have Lando do the same thing but have it work. It’s gonna work for ruby because she’s the main character.
Also because she's a waman with a pure heart who wants to save everyone and can do it simply cuz she wants to unlike Ironwood the cold and cruel heartless man who is...trying to save as many people as he can? With all of these founders leaving it's surprising that RT still hasn't learned their lesson yet; virtue signaling won't save your company from bankruptcy or being liquified and absorbed by Warner Media.
I would say its worse because at least in Star Wars, its established that a period of time that was longer than a month elapsed between the movies. In RWBY, its probably going to be at most 3 days.
"We need to warn them." "Get Amity up and running and evacuate Mantle." Wait a minute, this sounds familiar. Gee, I wonder who suggested this idea. Hmm, what a mystery this is
Well, all except for evacuating Mantle. Ironwood was planning to drop the Amity project all together and leave Mantle to die. Not saying that makes him a villain, just pointing out that the plans are different.
@@arpeggioblue he didn't decide to drop the project and abandon mantle until he found out he was out of time and rwby wasn't helping. Before that he *was* evacuating mantle :p
@@arpeggioblue if I may do a rebuttle, teams RWBY and ORNJ supported the construction of the Amity Communications Tower. However, they didn't really do much to help build the tower besides clearing out the Grimm in the area. The rest of the time they were distrusting of Ironwood, unwilling to give Ironwood VITAL information about Salem until she was essentially at their doorstep. Blake and Yang willingly opposed Ironwood's decision of keeping the Tower a secret by not capturing Robyn and telling her about it. Team ORNJ was doing unimportant side character stuff during that Volume. So while they did support the Amity Communications Tower, they never really supported Ironwood, which led to the situation they are currently in
It's funny how they keep trying to make the grimm an intense enemy that the main cast has to face. Grimm have been a joke since the Red trailer. They're cool but they never do anything threatening and if they do, they get one-shotted by silver eyes.
They made the Grimm pathetic 😓 in honkai impact 3 they made sure to make the monsters a major threat from day one . And that is a game 🤦 a Chinese game ( which the story is an afterthought to the gameplay) has a better story than rwby which is a web series which is mainly story .
@Martin Toledo i think that was supposed to be the flying grim in volume 3 , but then Ruby used her silver eyes and we haven’t heard shit about that grim recently.
hoenstly it was, we hear from her that she had to be the responcible one once Summer died so we can see her cracking jokes as her way of being herself or the kid she couldn't be
Not gonna lie, when Jaune said they'd go for both, I got so angry I actually got light headed as a tirade fell out of my mouth ,if they can get that tower done on a two day time scale, they've literally trivialized so much about Salem being there, Robyn's interference and made it seem like marshal law would have ended this whole mess so fast it wasn't even going to be funny.
Not to mention that they basically just said “Hey, remember how we lied to Ironwood and never really wanted to help him get amity back up and running? Oh yeah, that’s *our* plan now.” Like what the actual fuck dude.
My thing was, that if Robyn hadn't been stealing parts ( or Blake and yang did their f****** job and brought her in so that they could find out where she stashed the materials for Amity), it seems like the tower would have been up and running before Salem arrived.
"We can do both." So the plan that Ironwood had back in Volume 7, where he actively was evacuating people from Mantle onto Atlas in preparation for abandoning the city itself, is now suddenly a plan that RWBY completely agrees with?
@@CaptainDope Lol, just read this and imagined Butthead pitching this idea. "So...hehe, like we could... heh, switch the title and..... Heheh... And uhhhh... Replace it with, y'know, chicks and stuff. That'd be cool."
That's because they got rid of thier eye tracking, back in the original seasons the eyes were gittery like a real person's because it was mocapped directly. Now they keep them still and it looks terrible
I rewatched some shots from V7 and was thinking about that as well, I really hate how their faces look. The irony is that a rigger released a reel with some stuff she did for V7 and there's a shot of Salem without the shading and it straight up looks better than in the show.
They look so plastic-y and like stale melted butter or cream was just slathered on top, followed by some of the most AWKWARD choices of skin tones (which may be due to the lighting). I mean, I have to look at the original Volumes just to not get so nauseated by it. This was a problem since the tail end of Volume 5, but it was made WORSE in Volume 6. The darker the skin tone, the less jarring the character, but even then there were some difficult ones to watch. Someone needs to go to RT and inform them about color palettes.
@@goodlion335 The morality compasses of the writers must be pointing the wrong way. I fail to understand how they don't recognize that their own "heroes" have long since fallen to the dark side
@@dwieselmcallister it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they just wanted to include them right at the end as a reference to the wicked witch's flying monkes without having any intention of making them an actual part of the story.
Best way to show ironwood is wrong is by aiming for both without a plan or reason to convince ironwood (or any sane person) of its success. Plot armour 100
But you see, Team RWBY said they can do it and they *can't* be wrong. For real though, I hate that the supposed solution is that RWBY just does everything, even though that supposedly wasn't possible.
That was only bc Ironwood gave up on it once everyone was united behind him. Robyn has tons of the materials for it and like Atlas it flies. That said, it can't fit a city's worth of people in it like Atlas can so most of Mantle is still going to die unless Salem chases the Colosseum and Atlas in the end while all the civilians run into the tundra.
@@CtisGaming Ironwood did give up on it, but under the premise that it couldn’t be done before Salem arrived. RWBY didn’t even say he was wrong, only that they wouldn’t accept leaving people behind. The show established that Salem couldn’t be stopped once she arrived. Thus, RWBY being able to do all these things *after* Salem arrives means that they either are being treated differently by the plot, or that Salem isn’t as dangerous as the plot presented her when Ironwood was forced to make a choice.
also i can FEEL the TEAM RWBY WAS RIGHT, WE COULD SAVE EVERYONE AND GET THE COMMS UP, YOU'RE JUST NOT THAT OPTIMISTIC IRONWOOD, and im gonna feel SOOO MAD
In that case, I think that Ruby failed to argue her case properly. She could have said that they would help with evacuation, even volunteering to be left behind if need be. Leaving even Atlas to die is a decision that I believe points to a lack of moral fiber, to say the least. What would have been more inspiring is if Ruby decided to fight Salem even if Ironwood abandoned her to leave with how many people he could have left with. It would have been great to face the Great Evil with nothing but the conviction of her own beliefs And yet, she had lied to Ironwood from the start of the volume. I can only come away with the understanding that she has failed to learn the lesson of truth and trust from the previous volume. Why she is still considered a hero is a mystery. Calling it a title is more befitting
@@Chujutsu Man it's amazing how watchers can see a way to make team rwby more likable with their confidence instead of them looking like arrogant brats all the time. Nicely put, man.
So let me get this straight- We just got off of season seven where ironwood tried to get amity arena back up. Team rwby f'd that up by trusting Robin and letting her slow down progress. Then Salem shows up and ironwoods like "well shit there goes that plan. No time left. Let me save as many people as I can. " Team rwby tells him he's wrong and horrible for not trying to save every last person even though he explained why there was NO TIME, take away his means to save ANYONE from Salem and run off. Then the trailer shows us that there going to try and do the SAME thing ironwood tried to do. But they're better than him because they're trying to save everyone on top of that? FU*KING HOW? Salem is at the walls. They are SCREWED. How the FU*K are they gonna fend off her flying monkey army and giant fu*k off whale demon, evacuate all the civilians, fix the arena AND have minimal casualties while doing so? By believing in themselves hard enough? It's season eight! Why are the main characters still so naive and childish?! I swear to god if they ass pull Ruby silver eying the entire army, or Raven showing up, or some other dumb asspull to make this work, I'm going to have a stroke. They fu*ked up so hard last volume and people should be dying as a result of their bad choices. This is why they such INFURIATING main characters to watch. Because the show NEVER has them shown in the wrong, they NEVER face long lasting consequences, so they NEVER learn from their mistakes!
I wouldn’t mind if our protagonists were always right because they were morally upright. I would be interested to see our protagonists struggle with moral temptations but ultimately conquer them However, we have seen our protagonists subscribe to self serving morality at the expense of everyone else. I cannot approve of that. I wish they get punished heavily for the state of affairs they helped bring about
I really wish the ace ops weren’t in this and instead given emerald, mercury, and hazel. If Robyn is In this volume they need to dial her back a lot. If Neo is in this volume, we need to understand her relationship with Roman, and cinders motivation for power. I know everybody wants that and it’ll probably not be in this volume either
The Ace Ops are a joke at this point, they shouldn’t be here. Robyn has always been a joke, she shouldn’t be here. Cinder’s been around for 7 volumes and hasn’t done shit except not die, nobody wants a backstory for her this late, she shouldn’t be the main focal point. Neo isn’t even relevant anymore because she had beef with cinder and then apparently made up with her, she shouldn’t have screen time. They’ve completely forgotten about the other villains they introduced and instead of elaborating on them, they keep giving screen time to useless characters that accomplish nothing.
man why does it feel like, we're going NO WHERE, like, it feels like we are so stagnant that everything that happens in like the sum of 4 chapters could be all in 1 chapter if actually planned and paced properly and given the right amount of air time, idk, its...it feels so weird WE ARE LITERALLY MAKING NO PROGRESS, is the plot really that short???
@@Not_Ciel He stated that it feels like we are moving at a snails pace. If he is feeling that way now that feeling is only going to magnify when the battle starts happening and they drag out the events of 2 days over the course of an entire volume.
I'm honestly more interested in critics of RWBY than the show itself. The current plotine and antagonists are boring and most of the interesting characters are dead or irrelevant, which wasn't that many.
Yup. And the one person I found to be tolerable and responsible has been forcefully turned into a secondary villain after the supposed heroes continually wronged him and lied to him, abusing his trust.
@@BlaxxShadow No, anyone can be, with proper writing. If Weiss had actually struggled with her prejudices, it would’ve make her a better character, as it were, because a lifetime of thoughts and ideas, compounded by tragedies and misplaced blame don’t simply vanish due to a single friend. So really, if the writing was amazing and she was best girl, it would make no difference whether she is or isn’t racist. One more character feature for a writer to develop.
Straight up tonal dissonance between the headache inducing music and Weiss grinning before battle. They wanted to show off some cool shots so badly. Hoping the context makes it as cool as they wanted.

If team Rwby was in a young justice they will definitely be on Red arrows side since he also disrespected the adults that have great plans for him but he ruin his own life
I think it’s sad that Yang has become so one dimensional, a shell of her former self to such a degree that when we see her freaked out, we all know it’s because of Blake. I used to like her, but now she’s just “Blake’s angry girlfriend” and she can’t care about or talk to anyone or about anything else 😑 I’m hype for this volume tho, I like Oscar a lot so I’m interested to see what Salem’s plan is
Well there was another teaser for volume 8 where Oscar had already caught up to Yang, Jaune, and Ren where they ride on motorcycles. So I don't think Oscar missing is gonna be a huge plot point that eats up most of the season.
Right, right, right, cool, cool. Just one really quick question: Who's Robin again? I'm seriously asking that because a lot of the characters they introduced in volume seven were very forgettable.
@@MisterUnknown707 eh yeah maybe fria and pietro, but Robyn? How could you forget that the main two literally told a stranger about top secret plans? Or that she literally made a fight happen on a PLANE. The fight didn’t even have anything to do with her. Robyn is the stupidest character. How could you forget her?
She's not, though. The name of the show is RWBY, not Ruby. As in team RWBY, consisting of Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang. They are all (technically) the protagonists. Not that they are good ones lmaoo.
@LANO Sucks for Rooster Teeth then, seeing as Ruby is probably one of the characters I like the least, especially after Volume 7. I could somewhat accept her being the pure, honest one who trusted others and believed in humanity, but after her complete personality change in Volume 7 that came out of thin air (because the writers are so talented at character development) I don't even know what she is anymore. Definitely not a good protagonist at least lol.
@LANO They killed old Ruby the moment she didn't create Jaune's sword and upgraded his armour, but a nameless and pointless fanus did in V4. Oh and bully Jaune, that too.

@@evelynsteger436 yessss, they did Roman so dirty, getting eaten by a fucking bird? Grimm aren't even that big of a threat so for someone like him to die by one doesn't make much sense to me. It was so random and almost funny. It would've been more impactful if he fell off the thing they were on and Neo failed to save him,
Let's all be honest here, no one really has an issue with RWBY being distrusting of Ironwood; given the situation it's perfectly understandable despite how kind he's been to them. It's always easier to catch flies with honey than vinegar, the problem rises when the plot wants to press the problem of trust, or the lack there of but is still trying to push RWBY and ORNJ as the party in the right when they do things just as wrong as the people they demonized a season prior. "We need too keep Ironwood at arms length because we don't know if we can trust them." Like how Ozpin did and given that he has literal centuries of experience. "I have made more mistakes than any man woman and child on this planet." and I'm willing to bet trusting the wrong people is on the list of those mistake. "But they weren't around to see all is mistakes, so they can't fully understand him." Is a fair argument. However they were there Professor Lionheart's betrayal; but still attempt to justify their lie with "Oz trusted himself with the truth, you're trusting others, but you making sure they prove themselves first." Let's break that down; yes Oz trusted only himself with the entire truth, because trusting Lionheart with the whole truth would have helped them so much. Trusting Qrow with the truth, a known alcoholic with signs of depression, who'll more than likely cave like a deck of cards when his family is threatened it smart. Trusting Ironwood with the truth, a man who's sole mindset is the the greater good must prevail is smart. And if we're going with this whole wizard of Oz motif the the Headmaster/mistress of Shade is a moron so it's safe to trust them with the whole truth. What have they done to prove they deserve the entire truth? If they could at one point acknowledge that are indeed like Ozpin rather than skirt around making excuses like they're still in the right for doing the exact same thing they shame another for people could be more accepting of their decisions, but how the show is going narrative is becoming "RWBY is always right and if you disagree you're always wrong." But who knows maybe I'm wrong, maybe Volume 8 will be the moment where they realize that Ozpin had his reasons (Lionheart being a prim example), but even then there's a time where they have to put faith in someone from the beginning or else end up in the situation their in now. Or at least there will be consequences to their decisions. I want to hope and believe things can change for the better.
Salem’s arrival to Atlas has been made a low priority by the writers. Terrible decision since the entire of Volume 7 was meant to “set the stage” for her as the main event!
Not here to watch the trailer. Just wanna say that this show is terrible and should be rebooted into a wrestling anime. The story lines for wrestling are much easier to write for M&K. That is all.
I'm already developing stress lines because the last relic is depicted as a fucking sword and you know who the only character so far with a sword like that is? If the writer's self insert gets the final relic for the final arc I-
Oh you know that’s exactly what’s gonna happen. He’s gonna make a shift from sword fighter, from the beginning, to a defense/ support unit, now, to a superpowered god that’ll probably do most of the work when fighting Salem but then Ruby will finish her with silver eyes because they have to keep up the lie that it’s Ruby who’s the protagonist. I’m putting all my chips down here. And Summer will be alive for no reason other than shock value and she’ll have zero relevance to the plot. And Qrow will be Ruby’s dad because the fans say so. I mean, Ruby and Yang never actually acted like sisters, so why not make it so they aren’t!
A minor nitpick I have is with Jaune's suggestion that they split up. Why is JAUNE the one who suggests the split? Isn't this volume's theme about distrust, specifically between Ruby and Yang?
Eh, I can't see how that relates being honest. Jaune was barely a part of the 'distrust' themes this volume and Ruby and Yang haven't shown a _hint_ of fall out by this point. My problem is that it seems more and more like no one told JNPR the whole deal. Remember, they weren't there when RWBY and co. did all their bullshit so they kind of have to trust RWBY by their words.
Imma just go back to read Berserk. The stakes were always great and you love the main cast instead of wishing the villain to kill them all. Or rather, just watch/read literally any other anime. The spirit of RWBY died with season 3. This is like "a fanfiction of a show that never existed"
This is really sounding like the last Jedi right now. Imagine taking a whole volume just to catch up to a bunch of teenagers, when you have entire armies of grimm at your disposal.
Salem still has to deal with Ironwood's armada, army, and Huntsman in 2 major cities with overlapping defensive zones. 2 days is an extremely fast time to complete that sort of battle in.
@@CtisGaming yeah but if I do recall she can create Grimm from the palm of her hands, while their forces are limited. Sure there's huntsmen too, but there's also the bigger Grimm and Salem to deal with. If she does help throughout the battle
@@CtisGaming The first wave of Grimm Salem sent overpowered Ironwood's armada to the point that they have to retreat. The second more powerful wave is simply overkill.
I miss Little Miss Malachite, might be random to bring her up here but I just feel like she will end up being a more interesting character to watch than the entirety of Volume 8. I mean she is the leader of an information mafia, plus if you remember the twins from the Yellow Trailer, those are her daughters. So I have to wonder who could their father is. Also curious how much reach does her little mafia have. So Ironwood will probably die and if I had to make a random guess how, I would say he dies saving Oscar. I so hope they don't screw Ironwood up this season because they already made Qrow an idiot at the end of 7. Seriously how was teaming up with a psychotic serial killer who is working for the person you are trying to defeat, against the guy who was pretty much your friend the last few episodes? Seriously someone explain to me why Qrow did the quick team up with Tyrian? Clover was just being reasonable being like "Hey I am sure this is a big misunderstanding, lets head back and I will see what is going on and try to fix it. Then hey how about we go grab some drinks and hang out?"
Im watching rwby for the critics xD I wrote my little fanfic of what happens in the next volumes. So, volume 8 starts with Salame arriving to mantel with all her gang and a lot of grim that immediately starts attacking the city. And Atlas getting higher and higher. Our heroes land on mantele and try there best, along with hunters of mantal to save people and fight the grim. In the middle of the chaos ruby finds oscar. But discover that oscar died and ozbin has full control. She's shocked but she has to keep fighting, so she calls for her friends and try to get closer to salem. Saleme welcomes them with a smile. To yangs surprise, raven was among them. Rwby askes Saleme what she wants, she tells rwby that she wants her and the robot if she wants to stop the grim from killing more people. Rwby tells yang to take ozbin away (that was hiding) discreetly, and agrees to the agreement despite her friends opinion, penny as well. As they get closer, penny loses control of herself and starts flying towards atals taking rwby with her. It turned out her father is helping ironwood. Salame askes Cinder and the others to follow them. And asked raven to bring azbin alive or dead. As she makes her way up as well. Crow follows Yang. And Wise takes a jet to follow rwby in the chaos. Rwby tries to talk to ironwood through penny but it dosn't work. Then calls her sister to see what's happening. Yang on the motorcycle is followed by Raven and she has to fight her eventually. She sees her as a traitor like she's always been. But raven explaines that she finally know the truth, that she wants what saleme wants. Wich is Ozbin dead. Crow comes in and tells her to shut up, but raven continues (rwby listening as well) that because of him rwbys mom died. She thought she died protecting the world but she died protecting him. This whole war has nothing to do with anyone and it needs to end. If Ozbin dies magic will die and the gods will return. And then she pushes crow to finally tell rwby. That there's no such thing as silver eyes. That shes the last maiden. And it's the only maiden that can choose whoever and whenever she want, to give her power to someone. Rwby is shocked but they arrived to atlas and they have to fight Cinder and her gang. Penny's father wakes her up so she can fight, and wise arrives. But they seem to be loosing and penny gets heavely injured. So they run away, and penny sais she's sorry and shuts herself again. (Dying in a way) saying this power wasn't hers to begin with. Wisse immediatly understands that she gave them back to Winter. Rwby screams through the phone to Ozbin that none of it is true but he sais nothing. She finally gets to where ironwood is, resolved, beside him winter. She rushes to him and askes for answers, "Why arn't they trying to kill me?" "They're afraid, afraid that ozbin told you." "What?!" "If your in danger that you might give your powers to Glinda GoodWitch." Saleme joins Cinder and comes in. She laughs at how little they know, "It seems Ozbin is still the king of liars. At least my allies know what they're fighting for. A world with no magic, a world where everyone is equal. A world where faunis become human, a detail I failed to mention to Adam and some others. But rwby, it's a world with no more grim, because the gods always keep they're promises. I will do what Ozma failed to do. Only his own power can kill him, the maidens." She extandes her hand. Ironwood denies it, and sais she just wants to kill them all after she gets ride of ozbin. And they start fighting. Meanwhile, Yang and Crow ends up hardly convincing Raven to they're side and to take them to Atlas. When they arrive everone is defeated except rwby that stood not moving. That looked briefly to her sister that also lied, never telling her that she found her mother. She helps up Winter and takes her to Saleme, "Stop the grim and I will follow you, don't hurt anyone else." Raven clenches her fists, she knew there was no defeating her and she had no wish to protect ozbin. She bows to salame and goes back with cinder, fights Ozbin and throws him defeated on Salemes feet. Meanwhile the Grimm retreats and Salame shakes rwbys hand. The villains leaving. Cinder however stays behind looking at the defeated ironwood, "people like you will have no worth in the new world." she kills him than crow kills her. And her powers go to Emmrald that looks back devastated. But salame tells her that she was bound to get herself killed. Then the other volume could be in short, rwby getting to know all the maidens and convincing them instead of killing ozbin to kill salame. While she buys time pretending to train her power better. And maybe salame uses the lamp so she can know the detailes of how to kill an immortal. While the other crew tries to save rwby, using the remaining relecs. To anyone crazy enough to read all this, thanks.
Well, they've done it, they've contrived a way for RW BY to be right, and for the heroes to win yet again. All it requires is Salem to sit on her butt and do nothing for most the volume. While the heroes both finish the communication tower and evacuate Mantle. Incredible.
Here's a question. If RWBY and JNOR knew people were coming for the lamp, why didn't they just burn the last question to make sure that, if anyone did get ahold of it, the relic would be totally useless?
I could bet money that that one shot of Yang reacting is just a throwaway reaction of her spotting Oscar or seeing Grimm on the road. At best witnessing some destruction and maybe some bodies, but nothing very significant.

They have managed to basically destroy every Rwby character, I think the only one I still like is Weiss. She was sassy and stuck up, she had a past with baggage. She delt with that baggage, and now she’s a stronger person. But everyone else is either to depressed to be cool, had cool things happened to them but are so irrelevant it doesn’t matter or just got developed badly. Just bring Sun back just to give us a cool character with comedic relief maybe just maybe it’ll save the season
They ruined her too. She didn't see herself in her younger brother, and treated him like crap despite being the new man in the Schnee house. If he betrays her team to Ironwood I would actually cheer for him rather than call him a snitch.
No, I think Ironwood is speaking to the kids. I know it seems odd ... because of his station, but considering the man is pretty broken right now - Frustrated and stressed to the max... I can imagine he's actually speaking to the kids right now. Edit: also, are they retconning what jinn said in volume six? Ozma already told Salem all about the relics. Even how to summon the gods using them.
Salem will be sitting on her whale, whaling for her FGO waifus and husbandos. But yeah having something like a Rogue one Vader hallway scene where Salem and the Grimm are literally sacking and rampaging both Atlas and the other place (I forgot its name it was that forgettable.) Also isn't Salem as old as Ozma or whatever she should probably know how the damn thing works. Lastly the only thing that could make me happy at this point would be a Grimmified Summer Rose showing up and killing some of the main characters, (Not team RWBY since they are not the main characters lol xD) Have her kill like Jaune, Nora and Ren and take an eye from Ruby.
Wait.. Has none of them realised that Qrow and Oscar are not there or did they just not care? Also let's be real here Salem knows what's she doing she just wants to Ara Ara a Lil brown shota
We are talking about the same team that laughed when they saw Oscar have no control over when Ozma takes over his body (well it was Weiss and Yang but still), and didn't care to ask Penny about her "death" or how she was doing, didn't care to look for Sienna the actual leader of the White Fang.
Something I'm now thinking about... I don't even know/remember what Salem can do in a battle lmao. Her threat level is just an amorphous blob of an idea in my head
I hope it's not Raven just because it would be more confusing as to why the hell she is there. I mean I get it would be to rescue Yang I guess but even then how would she know she was in danger?
If Raven shows up it’ll completely retcon her entire character. She chose to save her own ass at the end of Volume five because her fear of Salem outweighs the wellbeing of her own daughter. If she suddenly showed up in Volume eight it would make no sense at all. We didn’t even see the the interaction they teased at the end of Volume five with Tai. Unless they decide to retcon that alongside the end credit scene from Volume two, then her sudden arrival at her daughters side would confirm that the writers don’t pay attention to what they write. It’s a decent enough head cannon but if it actually happens I will lose what little hope I had left for this show.
@@emsly_ It's more of a development than a retcon. Personally, the idea of her showing would be interesting, and she could bring Tai along, but it might be better if her stayed and served as an anchor point in case she wanted to escape.
Sigh... Is anyone here familiar with Kingdom hearts? more specifically the villain Xemnas: former leader of Organization XIII, He's a nobody and his overall personality is that of nothingness, what am I getting at? In Kh1 (Kingdom Hearts) He appears as a black coated figure testing Sora's strength saying he is incomplete, in khcom (Chain of Memories) the Organization is established and that there is a "Superior" they work under but he himself is never shown just mentioned. Given that his orders would go as far as take out those who descent, traitors basically they lengths this "Superior" would go seemed to be deep. Come Kh2 The Superior is revealed to be the man who tested you long ago given face and name. TLDR: Xemnas is both active player given his encounter with Sora and a great threat in both his personality and powers, Mainwhile... Salem is both a do nothing and a whiney baby, I don't fear her, I don't care about her, I just want her to leave... (Literally, all she's done is: talk, explain, talk some more, get mad, scream, raise more fodder, look menacing, and........that's it)
@@UnifiedEntity Actually dude that's my point, as a threating villain Xemnas works not just because his orders are severe but also because WE SEE his power and how he can hold his own against the main characters. Salems a do nothing no contest, from her tease to her second tease she hasn't done anything.
@@rubydragoon720 I didnt know who Xemnas was or what he was capable of prior to Kh2 because I had the vanilla verison of KH1. I just assumed based on how the game said Nobodies were more powerful than heartless and we SEEN in through gameplay and story cutscenes, how he carried himself, I just knew he was strong and had a presence. Hell he appeared sooner than Ansem did and that was all I needed.
you know what i would have found funny, if team JNPR actually thought ironwoods plan was for the best. cause the way ruby said it, i don't think she mentioned salem was coming when she said it on the comms on yang looking shocked, can you imagine, just imagine if they actually made yang's "PTSD" a serious issue. can you just imagine lol i'm just kidding, they can never try that. i'll just wait and see, keep and open mind, ya know
After watching RWBY Abridge Sort of, all i can say is that Salem will wait for the Last 4 Episode of Volume 8 before actually do any threat. She will wait for the Plot and let Team RWBy fix Amity and evacuate the people pf Mantle.
To be fair, it's pretty in character for Salem to sit back and have other people do the heavy lifting. It's what she's been doing this whole time, even though it doesn't make complete sense since she's literally indestructible while her underlings aren't.
I feel like the question she would ask would pertain to the gods like going by the rwby companion book thing i saw from one youtuber’s review Salem wants to the rule remnant not commit suicide by summoning the gods and taking mankind with her. So i feel like she would ask how to kill a god, or become a god or maybe how to make more immortals or somthing more of that nature though asking about the beacon relic is definitely another in my opinion less interesting question but it’s rwby so who knows
I everyones asking how do they have time to get the tower up n im just like screw time they dont even have the resources or the knowlodge of how to fix it unless the somehow become master engineers with the knowlodge of how much was done and how much is left
I had the idea that Ruby shouldn't have lied to Ironwood. However, the villains would frame Team RWBY into doing an action that broke Ironwood's trust. This would be a callback to Volume 3, where Yang "broke" Mercury's leg. Would Ironwood still give them the benefit of the doubt? The point is that both Team RWBY and Ironwood are supposed to be on the same side. The villains should then try to interrupt this relationship. Why in the world Team RWBY would try to antagonize Ironwood by themselves is a poor decision made by the writers
Salem doesn't even need to attack Ironwood directly. This man is so scared he's got the whole city on lockdown. The elites hate him because of the dust embargo, the faunas hate him because they are second class citizens, and the world watches as he turns into a tyrant. All they had to do to "break" him was to use Penny 2.0 as a political tool. Her entire existence is based on ripping someone's aura out. Of you rip out their aura, I assume you destroy their soul, and what's the evil soulless monsters. Grim! So Penny's existence could be tied to the creation of grim, this causes Ironwood to destroy himself, while the villains just walk in from the chaos and grab whatever mcguffin they're looking for.
@@zeusmoro4864 I think that if the writers really wanted to show that Ironwood was not a good character, they should have fleshed him out better. I think one major issue I have with the writing is that it misplaces its focus on unimportant details Why is the Dust embargo bad? For all we know, it just affects Jacques. With the simplistic black and white writing, it suggests that Ironwood isn't in the wrong for doing this The Faunus are treated as second class citizens? I haven't really connected with the pain that the Faunus have experienced due to racism. What Ilia said about her parents didn't really connect. Adam's scar should have shocked Weiss instead, but Weiss was nowhere near him during the reveal Penny was one big wasted opportunity. How you phrase it could imply that Watts might have a point as to why he's pissed with Pietro. After all, perhaps Watts was resentful that he was passed over for someone who was engaging in ethically questionable research. However, in the show, it felt like Penny was on her last life rather than anything actually morally dubious. It felt like a parent sacrificing more and more of himself for the sake of his child
@@Chujutsu That's fair. The show has so many characters and plot points that go no where, it's hard for Miles and Kerry to convince anyone of anything. Until they figure out how to actually write a story, you'd think 8+ years of writing would help, there is very little to explore because of how shallow everything feels.
@@zeusmoro4864 I agree that the writing should have improved significantly, but it has not reached a level I would consider satisfying. It almost feels like they're willingly making mistakes I think I can expand on the Dust embargo. Dust is a valuable energy resource, and if Atlas has a monopoly of the world supply, then Atlas reducing the amount everyone else gets should raise such an outrage among the other kingdoms. We could have seen how the other kingdoms had to revert back to older technology because they no longer had the means to power their old infrastructure The blacksmith from Volume 4 could have complained about the embargo. If he had his power hammer, he could have whipped up Jaune's armor much more quickly. We could have seen people use lamps despite the fact that they also had modern lighting Bullets could also be more scarce. Infusing Dust into their bullets should make them more expensive because of the induced scarcity in the supply of Dust. This might make Team RNJR hesitate in taking new jobs. Even if they decided to use only their weapons, their weapons would still need to be maintained, and the damage to their weapons over time could really add up. Hell, Ruby's scythe could have broken during Volumes 4 and 5, and Ruby would have to adopt a new fighting style. It could have been hand to hand, just like the problem it was supposed to be in Volume 5 Modern transportation could also be impossible. This could explain why Team RNJR walked across the continent instead of taking a train like at the beginning of Volume 6 (or what Oscar did during Volume 4) Of course, Atlas would not have the same problem. Weiss could enjoy the comforts of modern technology because of how Dust still powers it. However, we could have explored how bad racism was in Atlas. Klein could have been a Faunus, and while he was her favorite servant, she might feel a pang of regret and pity to see how her family was employing Faunus in such a manner If they wanted, they could have fleshed out that Ironwood was partly responsible for this behavior. They could have shown that he held racist beliefs. He could have been a morally gray character Pietro's aura experiments could even have been done on Faunus test subjects. We could have seen soulless husks piling up in the back of his office. There could even be a body collector who would speak nonchalantly about the number of bodies he was picking up for the day. Bonus points if he doubled as a Faunus delivery service, and he mentioned the number he had for Pietro for the day
I like the idea of mixing the faunus racism with Ironwood's gray morality, it honestly creates a far more stream lined approach to the plot for v7. Also, I feel like if the writers wanted to, they could have an interesting story with someone hacking into Penny's system. Thus, using her not only against team RWBY, but now Salem would have complete control of a maiden without resistance. Her quest for the relics would become so much easier. But, I have to admit your ideas for explaining the world and Atlas is pretty dope.
Only two Nora shots. The first looked like she was just going to absorb the electrical barrier using her hammer, the second shot looks like her mid absorption, she looks too confident for a "I may die" scene.
One that was funny the vs battle Wiki claims that Salem can destroy a small City.. of course I normally do not trust that website but if we use that estimate she should be more than capable of destroying Atlas in the short amount of time.. she literally possess enough power to wipe out a city all by herself... even if they take away her immortality she would still possess enough power to blow away a city.
Oh great more of this forces drama between Ren and Nora, also at this point they need to chain Oscar to something large and imobile seeing as he keeps wondering off.
So team rwbyjnr wants to have their cake and eat it too by evacuating everyone and fixing the tower? And since crwby seems to be too afraid to actually let them ever really lose at all, we can expect a lot of bs. Seriously i can smell the overall disappointment already and yet I'm still gonna watch to see if they include a few actually good scenes like last volume.
Cinder: Without you, I am nothing... Geez Cinder, with the amount of failure you racked up, I’m surprised Salem didn’t punish you for it. Or at least, implant a grim in your head to make you smarter. But alas, you kept your status quo. The only person who managed to complete her agenda is Neo. Only a matter of time before you lose to her again.
Can someone explain that’s the point of getting amity tower up? I know it’s for communication with other nations, but what’s the point of getting it up now. Salem is already here and reenforcement won’t get to Altus in time.
I think that the idea might be to stall for time in order to evacuate. Help from the other kingdoms would be a relief, but I agree that they do not have the time. Atlas would be a smoldering ruin by the time Vacuo or Mistral arrives Ironwood is effectively stalled as he does not have access to the Staff. Only Penny does, and she's siding with Team RWBY I wonder how they will effectively stall Salem. I don't see how they could negotiate with her. What could they possibly offer? Penny?
@@Chujutsu Even if they manage to send out a message. Would it be assured if other huntsmen would help? Mistral has no huntsmen, Vacuo has beef with Atlas. And people blame Atlas for what happened to Beacon
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Ironwood's main plan to move atlas in the first place to escape Salem. Then team RWBY rebelled against him n are now doing the same thing? Am I missing something?
Is it just me...Who looks at little details. Maybe a stance for example. Why did Weiss just throw her arm out like her sword is a wand? What happened to all her stances! Also, some of the shots of their noses are ugly.
You know what would be cool? If Weiss adapted her fighting style and fight side by side her summoned creatures more similar to what she did in vol 5. That would be so cool.
