If you are looking at a RX 580, **make sure** you get the 8gb card. I have a 4gb RX 580, and while it’s still a tank of an old gpu, I max out the 4gb of vram way to often
Exactly. For years after release the 8GB version was deemed "unnecessary" as the GPU couldn't drive settings that require much more than 4GB VRAM anyway, but times have changed. Now the 8GB version is definitely the way to go, RX 480 and RX 580, even RX 470-RX 570. AMD FineWine thing once again, like they knew in 2016 when they released the RX 400 series that 8GB would be needed in 6 years even at this performance level.
@@alf279 The memory frequency on the 8gb models also seem to be a bit higher alongside the higher memory size, which theoretically would give more fps in games that aren't even maxing out the VRAM. Although you csn overclock the memory freq on the 4gb versions but i would not recommend doing that since it introduces latency with the timtings.
Everyone just looking at more fps of rx 580. But what about power consumption? Other two cards are providing just 5-10 fps less with 50-70% less power cunsumption
Great vid, however I don't know why anyone with an i9-12900 wouldn't be able to afford a more powerful card. 3rd - 7th Gen CPUs would be a more realistic test for SFF builds etc. Good stuff either way!
The RX 580 can pull off a better graphics range within the stable 60fps, but the RX 6400 can't, also the 580 has an 8gb version. Even the 570 is better than the 6400.
Guys am getting rx580 for 12000rs (about 150usd) is it legit cos others are literally selling it at around 20000 (250usd) and there are many PPL selling it at 150 on Amazon but with less reviews and generic brands ut they do offer replacement warranty for 1 year, should I go for it?
@@Paraclef A 550w pc consumes like 20 dollars a month (on US kwh average) anybody with a 580 can afford that. Also, with the current gpu trends atleast in my area. 580s are cheaper because theyre older. It's simply the better choice :)
256 GB should be minimum to consider, once your SSD is getting full the overall performance goes down. Ideally for a low end PS is to have an separate SSD for Windows/Linux (256GB), one SSD for Games/Work programs and an HDD as a file storage 😀

@@xboxnerd4759 nope , Nvidia's Optimization in games are really good than AMD. Do not worry too much about that. AMD users are arguing this Since 2019 that very few years later 1650s will be dead because of 4 gigs of V ram but it's 2022 its still faster than RX580 8gb although having 4gb of V ram.
