Ryan Leaf is a great example of perseverance and turning your life around to become a great analyst. Kudos to those that believe in giving second chances.
Your right Ryan Leaf really turned his life around..he went through so much and like he said 3 years in jail...very interesting and very intelligent and articulate..God bless him
Just be tall and handsome the world will give you a second chance. Oh you're short and ugly? Doesn't matter if you turned your life around you won't be on TV. 😂
When he filled in for Rich Eisen during Combine week he was absolutely amazing. Dude needs his own show, he's already better than half these clowns on ESPN or FS1
Ryan Leaf is such an inspiration for his authenticity, openness about his journey and gratitude for the 2nd chances he has been given. I wish them the very best and much success
I have enjoyed his comments and delivery during his stints on The Rich Eisen Show. He faced a lot of self created adversity not just during his NFL career but after that as well but he reached a point where he found humlity and carved out a new path which allowed him to still be a part of sports. I am hoping for him and his family that he continues in this matter and has continued success.
As far as realignment is concerned, Dan's 100% WRONG if he thinks the average fan is just thinking, "what do you have for me?" The average fan HATES realignment. It's all for $$$. Which is pretty gross to most people who live anywhere other than NYC and LA. Zero regard for history, tradition, rivalries, schools, athletes, and fans. It's disgusting. But we know full well there's not a damned thing we can do about it.
@@bosmith1820 "Support it with their pocketbooks?" How do you quantify that? And what the hell choice do they have? Most of us will support our team whatever conference they play in. I don't get where you're coming from at all.
That " Little Kid" is my brother, and he was the same age as Ryan was. He is a school teacher and a business owner, and continues to coach and mentor kids. Ryan Leaf's career was a train wreck. Bill Clark may not be in Dan Patrick's " man cave" because he is too busy making an impact on the youth of this country. Not robbing people's homes for drugs.
@robertclark-crhomesolution9457 we know he was the same age, they were on the same team 🤣 Good for your brother but I think your taking this too seriously 🤣
Joe Burrow will not miss the start of the season. He knows how important those early divisional games are. I had the opportunity to ask Dave Lapham (Bengals Radio), about it this morning on his podcast, and that is what he said.
Too funny - I suggest you speak to someone on the the medical staff as that would be a reliable source . Perhaps he will be in Game one and perhaps not but a media/podcaster is not something that I would take to the bank. It is a 17 game schedule with weak opponents at the start so it would be prudent ( if he is not fully healed ) to give him additional time . Remember the AFC East teams are going to kill each other off in terms of Wild Card chances so no need to take that risk
@@robertriteman3227 I hear you, but Dave as the "official voice of the Bengals" has access that "pod-casters" don't have. It is a risk, and Bengals management knows that Joe B IS THE Franchise. In my heart I think he will play in Cleveland. But, that is just my guess based on nothing. Thanks man. Enjoy the season.
I actually support other teams but I am glad the Bengals fans have had a team worth cheering for ( but I do not put in past the ownership to screw it up). Hard not to like Burrow.@@cliffpeebles9705
32 teams with relegation is a good start... 4 divisions - regionally - 12 games - H/A games within the region, 3 cross-over games into other regions, and homecoming week - everyone plays one of preseason #33-133 on the same week. The bottom 4 on each side relegated... top 16 playoff, bottom 16 bowl games vs 33-48.
Ryan Leaf, one of the biggest, if not THE biggest NFL failures. But, Ryan Leaf, to me, is a Life success. He has overcome so much adversity(most of it self inflicted) to arrive where he is today. God bless him.
Probably not going to happen Rose Bowl is now a part of the playoffs. The PSU vs Utah Rose bowl was the last time the B1G vs PAC. Also, the majority of the B1G is still Midwest so Indy will most likely remain as the Championship game.
I picked Ryan over Peyton in my draft, I also picked Greg Odom over Durant, and Sam Bowie over Jordan. Anyone need a general manager? Huge Ryan Leaf fan now, persevere kids, just persevere!
DP says "Bill Clark is not sitting in The Man Cave talking to me that's for sure". That probably made Ryan Leafs day. What this young man has gone through and endured is nothing short of incredible. The fact that he is so open and honest about his experiences, good and bad, have helped others and I'm certain even saved lies.
Ryan is a real pro on many levels. This Ryan Leaf version would have been a great QB, but then maybe he would not have been the great personality and analyst later. So it's a tossup.
Dan, the college football menu has gone from a 3-star Michelin rating 20 years ago to a McDonald's menu today. And the lack fans in the stands at most schools across the country, and the falling televised numbers reflect just how thoroughly ESPN, Fox, Comcast and CBS killed the product.
But again aren't all the ACC teams handcuffed by the insane buy-out fee it would take to leave the ACC? It doesn't seem feasible for any of them to leave.
Once the B1G and SEC raid the ACC Notre Dame's hand will be forced to join the B1G. Notre Dame's tie-in with the ACC for mid to late season games will look too fragile moving forward and with all their won't be enough quality opponents for them to schedule later in the season as an Independent. The ACC's demise will cause Notre Dame to join the B1G for sure
