Graves’ hit might have been late but Reaves actually tried to channel his inner Bertuzzi and break Graves’ neck. That’s just unacceptable and it had better result in a hefty suspension.

And Parros, clearly the very worst driver of that clown car yet, goes out of his way to make excuses for Reaves to keep hitting guys in the head and trying to injure people. Remember Schmaltz in the playoffs last year? Head injury and never returned. League claimed the hit was “unavoidable”. Though Reaves targeted the head and followed through unnecessarily. This is what you get when you let Reaves play this way.

Well this should make clear that Wilson is not the dirtiest player in the league. I get that it was retaliation for the hit (clean hit btw, pros should know they gotta keep their head up and on a swivel), but that's not how you do it.

Reaves does this, continuing to hit guys when the fight is typically over. Does he understand that this is a sport and not street fighting where you fight until your opponent is incapacitated? Like he can go to MMA if he's out for blood like this, but this level of goonery hasn't been the norm in the nhl for quite a while. Guy shouldn't be allowed to play again.

Watch the clip again. They were pulling him off, it's just that Reaves was refusing and putting all of his weight on his knee. They managed to get his knee off of him and then Reaves pulled clumps of hair out. I have never seen that before. The league only gave him a 2 game suspension and he has a history.
Graves is the type of guy that will answer the call for a hit, Vegas instead chooses to pull stunts after the whistle. NBC guys shouldn't be defending this garbage or trying to explain it away.

I watched the post game interviews and Stone handled the situation with more maturity than the coach. It was genuinely embarrassing to watch, coaches should set an example for the team. At this point I only have respect for Stone and Fleury.

Driving your knee into someones head and twisting their head 90 degrees plus will snap someones neck almost paralyzing or killing them. No where was this clean. It was a cheap shot. Could even have been a penalty if the refs wanted to call it, but it wasn't a cross check.

The Colorado Avalanche are extremely disappointed that Golden Knights forward Ryan Reaves was not suspended for his HORRIFYING ACT OF VIOLENCE last night at the Pepsi Center. Reaves is a repeat offender with a long history of these types of acts and we find it shocking that the NHL and their department of player safety failed to take the appropriate action and suspend him indefinitely. Reaves dangerous and reckless actions (possibly) caused an injury to Ryan Graves that will (possibly) prevent him from playing again this season. We view this as a dereliction of duty by head of NHL player safety, George Parros, and believe he is unfit to continue in his current role.
It's obvious to me that the people on here that have no problem with what Reeves did likes a team that sucks. Do you watch basketball to see fouls or a powerful dunk on someone? Do you watch baseball to see a home run or see someone get walked? Do watch football for a 70 yd td pass or a four and out series? I could go on and on. Hockey is fast and getting faster every year. I want to see speed and goals scored period. If the nhl wants to carry on they need to keep it fast and let superstars score goals not let big goons skate around and contribute nothing but slowing down.a game I love.
