In the US, it's usually a competition to be the biggest asshole when communicating with a foreign pilot who has been awake for 18 hours having flown through 12 time zones.

ATC is talking slowly because his English is not that good. He couldn't talk any faster, probably. But at least he is very clear.

he's had all his clot-shots, same reason half of the planes flying are having crew medical emergenices and diverting. It was hardly ever heard of it prior to 2021, but now it's happening every day. People remain in denial, especially those with a full bingo card.

Unless I am completely mistaken, which is very possible, the 737's only have nose gear steering on the left hand side. But apparently it was the right hand pilot who had trouble.

How do native English speakers distinguish between "can" and "can't"? They are clearly pronounced differently in the English we learn at school, but it is almost impossible to tell them apart in everyday speech.

The difference between the two words is primarily in the pronunciation of the vowel, which is almost always strong in negative words, but is very short (or nonexistent) in "can". So trying to emphasize that you meant "can" by pronouncing it more clearly doesn't really work. It's a confusing feature of English for most non-native speakers. @@johannesschmidt9580 Ryanair often lands at smaller airports with shorter runways (e.g. Luton: max 7,000ft), and for this reason can have firmer landings than airlines that land to larger airports with long runways (compare to Heathrow: max 12,800ft). It doesn't mean they don't care or are bad pilots, but to passengers who don't know why they are landing this way that can be their impression. If they actually did slam the aircraft down due to carelessness, they could risk bouncing and extending the landing length which is often not an option.

@@IMR95 Are you death serious or just kidding with me? Part 1 to the end was terrible! The rescue center started their rescue search 6:00 AM when the aircraft should be in Beijing! MH370 vanished 1:21 and they did not even became serious until 2:00 AM KL Time!

@@Nicosshalagalanis I guessed you haven't watch the latest documentary on RU-vid. I dont know the exact time, but Malaysia were always trying to communicate to the plane, but it did not respond. They also use some radar stuff to pin point where the aircraft could be, but it was very inaccurate, therefore they started the rescue late. Anyway read this carefully. I don't know how a rescue is supposed to be the ATC job at that moment. The last transmission they received with the plane was the captain saying "Good Night, Malaysia" when they were close to crossing vietnam airspace. Malaysia ATC's job was done, it then move to Vietnam's ATC, but they were too busy to noticed that the plane never enter Vietnam's airspace.

Malaysian ATC tower made 2 satelite phone call to the plane and wrote 3 ACARS message to contact Ho Chi Ming tower, that is all my dear friend.. I know that captain Zaharie made it difficult for all the acting parts and the only way to track MH370 was with fighter jets. And I am convinced that if Malaysian ATC tower should be serious on the critical time 1:21-2:00 the fighter jets and malaysian military should with almost 99.0 % found it.. Anyway happy new year to you bro and we can only hope that the latest work from Richard Godfrey with friends are correct to solve this F…* mystery that makes me crazy where the mainbody of MH370 is located. It's a very safe airline with a great safety record. Although there are issues, I've flown with them quite a few times and never had major problems with Ryanair. The staff are always friendly and professional too.
