A full overview of Ryobi's new tool the p460KN Rotary tool. I go over some of the features as well as how well it works I will be posting more videos soon hope you enjoy.
Needed a tool for some crafts and this was the only tool left in the shelf at HD. I have so many Ryobi tools and batteries so I sprung for the $79. It didn’t come with a battery. I’m glad I found it and thank you for the video!
I watched this when you posted and I can't believe I didn't comment. King you're doing a great job. I want this rotary tool and need the mower really bad lol. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and videos, Rodney
Awesome idea from ryobi how they kept the motor detached from the main tool but the whole unit still portable thus allowing the capacity to inject much more power into the tool.
So glad I came across your channel. I have a pretty nice collection of 18v one+ tools. I just picked up the 18v cordless shopvac.. it’s pretty legit. I also have the 1/2 impact wrench, 1/4 impact driver, the jet fan blower, string trimmer/edger, reciprocating saw, angle grinder, brushless drill and palm sander.. looking forward to more reviews.
Ryobi is my absolute favorite brand. Id been waiting for this tool for a while now. Ryobi has every single tool i want expect for 1........ a hybrid heat gun!!!
I now use this tool for engraving my name on my tools. I also use this for cutting holes through sheetmetal that is on air handlers for gas lines and bushings, and for cutting toilet base nuts/bolts that usually super rusted out
“Ryobi Days ! I got my Rotary Tool P460 “FREE” when I purchased the Ryobi P166 , 3 ah Batteries and Compact Fast Charger Starter Kit ! Great deal as you get Two 3 amp hour batteries, a fast charger and a great ryobi tool bag all for $99 . Thank you Ryobi I love Ryobi Days ! Great review, I will be following your channel .
Great video--I've been waiting for someone to make a beefy portable rotary tool. It's a real pain hauling extension cords around. Home Depot here in Idaho has them in stock ($69USD without the battery) and that's where I'm headed tomorrow. Thanks for the review/demo. I wanted to see one in action.
~ Hey Ryobi King. Talked me into it! Gotta have this tool ! Wish that the 'pen' had speed control, I use one+ 18v for everything. appreciate your review, subscribing.
Added this tool to my arsenal a while back and very happy with it. Just make sure you wear ear protection when using it since it's kind of loud. Other than my Ryobi stationary tools, a 3rd party oscillating spindle sander and a corded Ryobi biscuit joiner, all my other hand tools are Ryobi 18V. They need to make a 18V version of the corded Biscuit Joiner!
Thank you for the review. I use a cheap Harbor Freight rotary tool to trim my dog's nails, and I was very anxious to see your review. However, I was hoping the cordless model would be quieter than it sounds. It's pretty loud....louder than what I use now. Thanks again.
I always found my corded Drumel tool very useful. But I am very turn off in using a cordlesd with a seal battery due to if it's out of juice where there is no plugs then you are screwed. With this I can carry it anywhere as I am already using the ONE + SYSTEM with plenty of 18V back up batteries. Thanks for the demonstration.👍
I love my Ryobi products. Even have their cordless lawn mower, extend-it series weed wacker/blower/edger/trimmer, and plenty of power tools, brad nailer, Ryobi workstand to mount my angle saw on, etc... but this thing... for what I would use it for.. they need to make a cordless model and I’d be all over it. Unfortunately, I had to go with Dremel.
I think it would be prefect if it was hybrid (battery and plugin) like some of their lights. Also it definitely could use more speed control. That being said it is pretty cool. Great review
I Still have The Original Black & Red Cordless Dremel From 1999. & It Still Works Great. & The Battery Still Holds A Charge Way Better Then My Blue & Gray 8100. & This Past Summer I Bought The Ryobi P460kN Rotary Tool. I Used It Some On My Bluetooth Speaker I'm.Building. & It Works Just Great.
He was obsessed with the collet size. He could have tried a Dremel collet. Also, he ran a drill bit at the fastest speed and says it was a cheap bit when it overheated. The slowest speed was still probable too fast for drilling and this type of tool is not the best tool for drilling anyway. He should have showed the cutting, sanding and engraving capabilities.
I never said that the bit was cheep? I showed that it cutes and sands? The video was showing the power of the tool I would try and pay a little more attention
I AM SO SORRY!!! I watched two reviews and somehow got my comments attached to the wrong video. I LIKED your review and bought one based on it! It was the other reviewer who burned out a bit drilling into oak at high speed, called the bit cheap and spent a third of the review obsessing about the collet when he tried to put in a different brand's collet and different sized bit. Please accept my apology...
I'm not really a ryobi fan, that being said my wife is a sculptor and this seemed to be the answer for her... so I got it for her with that bogo deal, but I needed to use it for a project and I gave it a real workout and it never bogged down.... I never thought i would say this but it really is a great tool.... I do have to say I never buy anything at retail price.... if it wasnt for the bogo I wouldnt have bought this....
I saw this tool on the sale back at the HD. I want to use it for keeping my hedge trimmer blades sharp and any yard tools etc. It's frikin loud. I wonder if Ryobi are doing the close out due to a new model coming.
I really appreciate your review of this tool. Didn’t know they were even thinking on this level! One bit of constructive criticism, however, better camera angle would have been much more helpful for the viewer. Maybe for something like this, shoot it from your wall towards you and your use of the tool. Thank you again. Cannot wait to get this Ryobi tool!
Do you know how to use it and what bits to use for polishing rocks. All the video's I've seen so far have fallen short of giving all the instructions to get a good result.
how well do you think this tool will hold up over time? The cable I'm positive is the "weak point" to this tool. If it folds or crimps in any way the tool is toast!
Before it came to the U.S.? Do you you have a way of getting tools from Australia? They have a few I would love to see in the U.S., perhaps if you can create the interest there will be a demand for them. Thank you and good luck with this Chanel.
This is a great tool... but do you have any idea where, oh where, on the face of planet earth, can you find a replacement collet nut? It's naturally not compatible with the 15 billion or so Dremel tool collet nuts. In fact, when the nut popped off today and fell under the deck of my outdoor shower somewhere, I actually had to spare Dremel collet nuts in my tool box. They're sadly just an unnecessary bit too small. The Ryobi support site lists replacement parts for the things that might break or whatever, but not the one part most likely to just get lost.
Dave Haynie that’s odd I would contact there support number as see if that can get you out a part of not take it back to Home Depot and show them your issue and I am sure that will take care of you
@@RYOBIKING I've had it quite awhile. I did a bit of detective work. It's weird... their online parts department doesn't show the missing nut. But they manual does. So I had to track down a PDF of the manual, which gave a part number, and then it was possible to order through Ryobi. I'm 100 miles away from my printed copy of the manual... but it seems like Ryobi could have made this a little easier.
next time you make a video mount your camera so that we don't have to look at the back of your hand so much... i think ryobi might have a tool for that!!
@@RYOBIKING thanks for all the content, i recently found your channel and was suprised how few subs you have. Keep up the awesome work and keep us up with more Ryobi reviews.
Use a proper wood cutting disc and the friction fire/smoke signals will stop - in addition to waaaay faster. Same thing with the plastic. It's not the tool. You're using the wrong disc for the materials your cutting.
NNITRED the point of the video was to demonstrate power of the unit not so much cut it was showing most units can’t cut wood with this kind of blade without stopping it all together thank for the comment
Actually on the contrary being the king of Ryobi If you followed the Chanel you would know I do it to make people say this exact thing😂 just giving you a hard time buddy take care
calling yourself the Ryobi king makes it kind of difficult to trust your honest review. Dont see you be showing us if it broke and went flying across the room.
I understand but if you watch more of my videos you would see i have given a handful of tools a bad review. I am the king because it’s the only tool brand I review.
@@RYOBIKING thats kool bro just want honesty because were spending our hard earned $ on these tools and ive had bad experiences with other Ryobi tools that were cheaply made but I do love the brushless drills
