All games are test at 1080P with HIGH Graphics settings and Ray Tracing off, to remove GPU limitation as much as possible. Graphics card used is AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT.
AM4 is somewhat handicapped by 2933MT RAM and pci-e gen 3. 3200MT ram is kind of a standard these days, better yet 3600MT for Ryzen 5000. Also b550/x570 for pci-e gen 4 support.
I run my 5600x with tweaked 3733cl16. And it was a massive boost over 3200cl16. In some games it is almost a 20% perf boost. My 5600x holds 60fps all of the time, even in starfield.
True, but who is going to pair a 5600x with a 4090 to play at 1080? 😂 7800xt is definitely a "1440p card", so in my opinion, testing at 1080 high can be considered enough cpu-limited for real-life gaming use
The point in playing 1080p is to stress the CPUs. Yes the 7800xt is a 1440p card but playing. basically the lower the resolution the higher the cpu usage is.

@@LJLHOUIJEE the 4060 TI is a capable 1080p card it should be fine with that monitor you can even pair more Higher end cards down the road like the 7700 xt
Not a great comparison though, it compares "160 dollar cpu to 360 dollar cpu" but a better comparison would be the 7800x3d or make it equal in cores with the 7600(x). You also want to use the fastest possible gpu, so a 4090 instead of the 7800 XT to see the real difference between these processors (in current day). In gaming only, there's not going to be a big difference but in other tasks it's going to be huge.
But this comparison also doesn't make any sense, Ryzen 9 7900 is for another function besides gaming, where you want a high level of parallelism to open many things at the same time as playing. If 5800X3D is just enough to play games, I don't see any point in having processors with many cores just to play games. The purpose of the video was precisely the opposite of what you are thinking, it was to demonstrate that you can play with a processor focused almost exclusively on work, no x3D will perform well in parallelism like a processor focused on that, just as no one will go head to head. in an X3D for gaming. remember that for each person there is a different possibility: Play?
