Ryzen CPU and Heatsink Install - PC Building beginner friendly video 

First time I encounted AM4 brackets, I stroked out for about an hour. Amazing CPU's, horrid mounting brackets.

The best tutorial to solve my problem, short and to the point. My new computer had a blank screen, I didn't know that we can switch the computer on before all hardware are connected. I can put hardware one by one and adjust them correctly. Thank you very much.

Your video was very helpful, as I wasn't sure if the brackets were part of mounting the cooler or not. I didn't have your problem with screwing in the screws. I placed my hand behind the motherboard and pushed back lightly on the plate. This made it easy for the screws to grab.

so...I'm sorta doing this too and I have a quick question. The cooling fins of the fan sit very close if not directly on top of some components on the motherboard. The nine "drums' (don't know what they are) at the base of the cpu. Is that correct ?

3:16 is it wiggle on the corner like a table on non level surface before locking down? just to make sure i did nothing wrong

As soon as you said it's easier said than done and your battery died i literally laughed. He's not wrong, Cpu heatsinks can be quite finicky, and when you've just spnt £400 on a brand new one the paranoia can be real. XD

I threw away the heat-sync clips from my motherboard when I first built my pc, and you tell me where to get them?

I like this video. I would consider myself as someone between average and high skill person, but deep in my hart I know I'm a noob :P. Anyways, I like it because it's very beginner friendly, answers to all questions I could have asked and it's helpful. The only thing I dislike it the microphone quality.

I have ryzen 7 1700 cooler, the screw holes do not align with the black plate, I don't how you guy can screw them in.

My MB did not come with a socket cover either. Safe to assume that these just come exposed and ready to load.

If I take out the cpu fan I can't put it back in help

Please some one answer my question so just like u said.. once u screw one corner in it will lean to that corner so basically that’s what happened to me yesterday and I pushed down on the cooler to get it to reach the other screws and I heard pops could have I damaged the cpu or is that nothing to worry about? I eventually got my pc done I’m done with everything just waiting for gpu to come in, so I wouldn’t know if I damaged cpu until gpu come in.. I hope indidnt

While I was pushing down the heat sink to make it reach I heard some popping noises... I heard it’s just the Backplate it’s nothing to worry about but could I have possibly damaged cpu

How do you easily remove the bracket, mine was so tight that i literally stripped the screw.

You said “anyone” can do it...a bit misleading, but overall a very good video. I bent one of the CPU pins because I applied excessive force on one or more of the four screws. This is not a part to take lightly. There was a pre-applied thermal paste on the side of the heat sink that is directly above the CPU. That pre-applied thermal paste made the process of adjusting it even more difficult

wait... why has no third party services try making a adapter for intel and amd i mean it wouldnt work but it would be cool to see if anythingwould happen

4:22 What??? That looks so easy but by me it doesn't matter how hard I try, the screw move not even a bit ! I use the same screwdriver for all the other screws and there it works without Problem (Mainboard, Case). Have anyone a Idea or should I just continue to try ?

This is not a good video for a beginner trying to install this cooler. I spent more than 1 hour trying to figure out why the cooler screws would not attach to the motherboard. You Never mention the back plate on the motherboard when taking off the initial two brackets or it should be used when Attaching the CPU cooler. little Steps that you take for granted are crucial for beginners who know nothing about installing a Cooler For a Rizon CPU on the motherboard that is already mounted in the case. You Skip over why you had problems installing the cooler which could be helpful if someone else in Canada same steps. Taking shortcuts and not considering all of the potential problems for a potentially quick process just shows that note that was put into helping out a newbie
