It’s crazy how all the wu members at one time had beef with Rza but he never gave in cuz he knew at the end of the day he wanted to do what was best for their future regardless of how they felt at the time of the decision… real leadership
Bong, Bong! It's wild how a few ppl missed out on this series because they heard how the show had some events were inspired by true story ranging from tightly to more loose, while plots/characters/places are facts💯 & lastly some parts are SAGA - completly fabricated for the fun of TV series.
episode 6 is one of the best things i've ever seen about how art is built. the end of the episode really captures that thrill you get when you figure out all the elements of what you are making right before it all comes together. one of the best episodes of television i have ever seen honestly. this show is so good. like they could have only made the show purely biographical but the show takes artistic risks in telling their story. hope there will be a season 3.
Just like this generation is getting educated on hip hop via "versus," RZA's Wu Tang story is educating the the generation on the actual mentality and culture of hip hop of the 90s. The mindset into making the art live forever. RZA is a genius. I'm very happy that I was able to be a teen back when Wu Tang first came out. What separates today from yesterday is the imagination done by the human mind, not the graphics on the screen.
@Floater 24 it reminded me of the grandmaster flash video on Hot 97 where he shows the science behind his loops. It’s a great video and you should check it out if you haven’t seen it.
@Dixie Normous great shout. All us heads who have been down since the start really fell out of love with their music at that point circa Rock The Bells with ODB
I love the series. Just make sure you tell Ashton to take it easy with that kung fu master voice. Definitely need a season 3, but we can go up to 2003 with this ish thats 12 seasons or something
RZA we lovvvvve youuuu!!!! This series is everything!! Respect to the whole WU! I’m sooooo impressed with the casting selections!!! Each and every cast member did such a superb job at capturing the real members! We need season 3!!!! Favorite episode of season 2 was hands down episode 8!! Fucking LEGENDARY!!!
wu tang has always been visionary. the way they broke through in the industry, the type of contract rza worked out for the guys, the clothing line they had, they had a fighting game on the playstation 1...
Love Rza. He needs to be held up as one of our leaders & we need to listen to his jewels. Ive heard they have like 4 or 5 seasons already of the wu show
If they do that they gotta have Ashton Sanders making the Triumph drums in the middle of the night and all of a sudden inspectah deck walks in.. I think there is a vladtv video of deck describing to him being asleep and being woken up by the drums and instantly wanting to rap
I love this show. I appreciate the finished products of the Wu Clan even more now that i know what happened behind the scenes. Trying to keep all those brothers on one page, Bruh!👊🏾. Hope there is a season 3
I remember listening to Wu in 11th grade kill a bunch of freestyles on Stretch and Bobbito, then seeing the video for Protect your Neck on Video Music Box, and then listening to Enter the 36 Chambers like what the F*#! Am I listening to. But I played it constantly. So the show fills in on the gaps and takes me back to that time. I’m about to be 45 in November and I still play 36 chambers all the time.💯
Hearing RZA speak makes me appreciate the excellent job Ashton is doing playing him in the series. There is a melody or cadence to the way RZA speaks that Ashton has got on lock. Not sure which one I’m crushing on more🥰🥰 I was familiar with the music but not all the rappers in the clan. Now I can say I’m a true fan due to the doc & the series. All hail the RZA! We all need one in our lives. 💓
I love the show, just started watching it the other day and now I’m in S2. I hope they do another season cause this be my favorite show out right now. That and just Wu-Tang is one of my fav rap groups n 36 chambers is a classic
I pretty much agree. They had more out of the box things like that in the first season, which I really liked. But watching what was going on in his head was pure genius. He even referred to the drummer of the Honeydrippers by his real name! The details really help to make this show special.
ALL MY LOVE FOR THE WU FAMILIES AND LOVED ONES ALWAYS ✨🙏🏽🙏🏼🎶 CONGRATULATIONS ON THE SHOW!! WU TANG FOREVER AND EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH THE CREATIVE PROCESS OF MAKING IT HAPPEN!! LOVE IS LOVE 💫🤟🏼🤟🏽♎️🎶
Episode 6 on season 2 is the best episode to me. But you gotta watch this whole show to see how important each member is in that episode and the people outside the music... Good series for real.
I'm an old white dude from Australia who has been a metal head my whole life but the Wu saga is brilliant. I spend most of my time researching old Wu tang clips now!

I'm loving the series but I feel season 2 had some episodes that dragged on. Like an entire episode on the ferry going to the city. I just hope they can wrap it up all in the next season since HULU only signed up for the final season. Unless the series continues on another platform. I just think it'll be hard to finish the rest of the story in one season...season 3. 🤷♂️ Unless the finale ends up being a movie? 🤔
He kept all those alpha males in check and made this work shows that his leadership is greater than any other person in hip hop. No hip hop group with this many members has ever started this long but this guy RZA is a genius in a business aspect, maturity, and leadership.
@@yourmomshouse8993 That's probably the truest statement. Look at how NWA imploded. They also had a bunch of talent on that roster and hit the scene like a fireball. RZA was able to hold it together
I listened to the Wu way back in my party days, 1st album came out my senior year. But I think it is a great show on Hulu, had me hooked. RZA hides bits of songs in the episodes, watch with your ears as well, I napped after work on Tuesday so I could watch it soon as it dropped at midnight.
Man, it just sucks knowing if not for Covid we'd be at the end of Season 3 now. I can't imagine RZA not getting to complete this series so I ain't worried about renewal
There should be a listening room in a museum. No phones or recording devices allowed. Listening vault in the Guggenheim. Etc. A secure room where no WiFi or radio signals can get into. Charge admission for 9 people at a time.
Ebro I fw you but you're a mark lol. the Once Upon A Time album being a art piece was a great idea, but an idea they only came up with when they weren't gonna be able to release the album because the guys didnt sign off on their verses. That's the real reason why they're not aloud to play it.
