This video is still saving lives in 2020. I just finally got mine removed and on the floor. I sold my xp41k and 3 weeks later I think they broke the snorkel gear but not sure yet. Luckily didnt break the case. I can't in good conscience make the buyer eat the entire repair bill since I know I wasnt easy on the machine. Thanks so much for the time and patience making this video 👍
Awesome video man. My xp41k just shot my spool out of the driver side, broken bearing and all that good stuff. Not sure what the cause was, but when I looked up videos on pulling it out or diagnosing it, nothing good really popped up 2-3 weeks ago. Rzr sat at the dealer for over a week now waiting on adjuster to approve the work just so it could be denied do to upgraded suspension, radius rods, wheels/tires. Getting the rzr back Friday and luckily now you made this video to make my experience that much easier. Thank you sir 👍🤘.
Yeah... I dragged my feet putting the edit together. Ha! Sorry I didn’t have it up like 3-4 weeks ago. Hope the video helps, and good luck with the repairs and upgrades!
Thanks! Awesome video. I lost reverse and I think the chain is the issue. This video gives some good tips to prepare to pull my trans. One thing I noticed is you unbolt the shocks and sway any links to remove the axles. I changed my axles recently and this step wasn't needed as the swing arm will move in and out while connected.
Thanks! - I hope the video will help, and good luck with finding out whats needed with your reverse chain. Also, thanks for the tip about the Shocks and Sway Bar Nick!
Very good video!! What was the cause of the transmission malfunction? Do you happen to know? My transmission in my 16 1000 turbo has a lot of Play but I was told it was a Polaris thing 🤷 thousand miles still going strong but I'm always keeping an eye on the fluid making sure it's up to level. I also drive it like Grandma 😂 But that's why I'm curious on what happened to yours to begin with. Any info would be appreciated.
Hey, that’s a great video! I have a Polaris general 1000 2018 and when I bought it from the auction it had damage on the front. The eps was broken, and the clutches would keep slipping. I changed the belt a few times and took it into the dealer. They said it was the clutch that we needed to replace. I got new clutches but i observed it closer and it looks like it would make a noise every time the the transmission would spin. I spent so much money on this and I don’t want to fix what doesn’t need to be fixed. Can I get your opinion on this? Thanks!
Great video. We discovered on my friend's XP that there was one bolt holding the transmission to the engine. One is broken with the threads still in the engine mount. Right side, both were completely gone. Question I have is, are all four bolts the same length? Obviously we have to replace all 4.
Is this trans and pull job similar or the same as 2015 Ranger 900XP? Going to have to go through mine soon, hopefully before it grenades and wrecks the case. I know my reverse chain is slipping or gears grinding
My case is leaking and needs to be re sealed and still after watching the video it might still be to much for me lol, interested in making a couple bucks
