Thank you! I’m in my 50’s and I still have mg. I went through everything you described when I was a child. I was so embarrassed in school, I would face the wall when I ate lunchroom. I also had to wear an eye patch and was called a pirate by the other students. I am so glad that you are helping other people especially children. Many doctors don’t even know what mg is. My 5 year old daughter has Ptosis with MG and we are planning to see you next year ! We have already sent you a vídeo ( through Dr Fábio Trindade). This was a very good conference and now I have no more doubts about it. But in our case she does not want to correct the MG because she sees it as a difference that makes her special in a good was. She is proud of that hability 😂😂 . Go figure why ??!!! 😂

Thank you so much for this video. The fact that there is surgery to correct MGJW is incredible. I’m an adult who has suffered with this disease and it really effects your confidence. The sooner kids have this procedure the better bc you get teased for being different and it effects your self esteem. You are a gift from God! ❤️

Idk my confidence is gone from this thing idk where to get the surgery can you tell me where you got it I have to talk with my mouth barely open because my eye moves idk what to do I'm scared to get the surgery I'm scared my eye will stuck open can you please tell me where you got the surgery

Thanks for the informative video Dr. Medel. Nevertheless I‘ve got two more questions on my mind and I would really appreciate if you could answer them! 1. Does the „engine“ as you called it have to be renewed with time or is it supposed to last a life long? Does it occur that it tears? 2. Is the cut muscle after the surgery strong enough to close the eyelid? And related to this I ask myself: How does sleeping work at all post surgery? Thank you in advance!

Hello, we work with our technique so that no further surgery is required, but sometimes correction is needed at a lower rate than with other techniques. Hi! I understood that you usually do a bilateral frontalis flap for Marcus Gunn. Do you also cut levators of both eyes, or do you just cut the one on the affected side?
