S-Gear is sooo close to being the only amp sim I need. It just needs like one more amp, preferably a Vox, Jazz Chorus or Orange amp sim. A couple pedals wouldn't hurt either
Great in depth S-Gear review. S-Gear really sounds good compared to other sims for clean crunch mid gain etc. So many metal and high gain sims reviews and few that do mid gain so thanks. Have you tried the Blue Cat Free Amp sim plugin or Blue Cat Axiom? It sounds great for mid gain too.
Hey nice video!! Would you mind sharing how you are able to record this live demo? I've been going nuts trying to figure out how to do screen recordings inside my DAW using S-Gear. I've tried Voicemeeter, OBS, etc...I haven't been able to figure out the solution 😫
Hello. Very nice video! I'm looking for a guitar plugin and recently know about S-Gear. I realize it has a lot of realism. Have you tried Helix Native or Amplitube? how do you compare them against S-Gear? also I see you have a Kemper on your back, how do you compare against it? Thanks in advance, great video!
So far the S-Gear is the best plugin I have tried (tried both the Helix and Amplitube) but not for high gain/metal. I haven't put that much time into it but to me it seems to excel in clean to mid-gain or crunch sounds. I have some software amps to try out so keep an eye open for more test and reviews... Thank you for the comment!
Thanks for your reply, very important for me. Yes I am suscribed so I'll watch your next videos. If you let me I can give you an idea. I realized the approach of everybody to the guitar plugins is which one is more realistic, or better for cleans for crunch or for high gain. But honestly I haven't seen someone classify the guitar pluggins in family amps I mean which pluggin is better for Vox family, for Mesa family, for Marshall family, for Fender family, Roland JC120. I think this way is more accurate when deciding to which pluggin buy since maybe one pluggin is better for Vox but not for Fender for example.
Positive Grid stuff sounds like bung though. It's like the second worst modern plugin after Guitar Rig (and even that is pretty awesome for its effects.)
Actually, not trying to be smart here but the FGN (black strat-like) is a $600 guitar! Also in the ongoing videoseries where I demo all the presets I also use a $140 Harley Benton tele occasionally...
@@haveguitar Thanks for the support man. It's still incredibly frustrating to work on a recording and not get the tone that other people on this medium get from it - people like you. Any ideas why that might be or what other factors could influence the tone that much?
