To say I was excited to get this figure would be an understatement. The Cooler’s Revenge movie VHS is actually what got me into the Dragon Ball franchise. I really hope they make a pre-transformed Cooler as well, and Meta Cooler as either an event exclusive or a separate release.
Hell yeah! That big plastic VHS packaging too! I can’t say it got me into the franchise, but it helped me develop my taste in music. Introduced me to Deftones, Drowning Pool, and Disturbed
I would absolutely love if they did more obscure non canon characters too, lord slug, turles, bojoack garlic jr, android 13 (both forms). And I seriously hope metal cooler gets made too
same man. with the way super is and how more open they are to making movie characters cannon i could see it after we beat friezas ass again with the black frieza arc. i wouldn't be mad if they introduced him as a character from one of the stronger universes we haven't seen yet.
Even if one single figure has quality control issues it is worth noting. it should not be acceptable especially with these high end premium figures. We need to hold the companies to higher standards if they are charging us arms and legs for our collectibles. I work in the aeronautics sector. If quality isn’t taken into account. People die. Yes there is a huge difference but quality matters and needs to be addressed.
it's like i always say "Just because you don't have the issue doesn't mean the issue doesn't exist", people need to realize that not everyone's experience is going to be the same.
This figure is straight up eye porn, hopefully I can get my hands on it soon, didn’t think big bad toy store would get him restocked so going to pounce on that opportunity tomorrow even if it’s not a money-wise decision, life’s too short to let this one slide like I had too with Raditz.
Cooler was one of my most wanted releases because he’s one of my favorite characters. Cooler’s Revenge was the first DBZ DVD I ever owned, and it was a gift from my older cousin who introduced me to DBZ in the first place. Peak Dragon Ball imho. Phenomenal figure
I just sold my Dragon Star cooler and bought this bad boy from ebay and I'm not disappointed. This figure is massive and has great detail. Love it. I still have a dragon star cooler that I customized into a Golden Cooler and both of these figs side by side looks sick as hell.
Great review man, Cooler is one of my favorite Dbz villains too! I have the dragon stars version which is pretty good but this one is just epic! I too would love to see other characters like King Cold, Frieza's other forms get figures like this as well
I have to mention my SSJ4 arrived today, watched your review and the area effected with loose joints are in the exact same areas as mine. Hopefully they pick up on this quick, people pay a premium price for these figures so deserve a premium product.
I didn’t even know the ssj4 Goku’s ankle problem was common, mine has that issue and it’s extremely irritating, everything else with the figure is great though. I wish tails on figures weren’t as difficult to make look good, if there wasn’t issues with bendy wire breaking I think that would be the best.
*Remember when S.H. Figuarts cam with stands and effects?* The 1st LSSJ Broly came with a personal stand and energy ki blasts! (Why didn't Cooler? HE WAS THE SAME PRICE!)
2 years later that figure cost me 170 after shipping amd taxes. I cant believe i spent that much but he was basically the cheapest one on the internet. Coincidently turlece i got for 80 dollars today as well same case for him cheapest one on the net i could find. If you want these figures the time is running out to get them for afordable prices. GL happy collecting !
You're the first person to mention how weird the tail looks lol. The rest of the figure does look amazing though. Also, it's a little disconcerting how many people seem to just not care about the QC issues.
I was pretty hyped for cooler final form. Honestly I'm not sure off the top of my head if there is another side character/ non cannon character that I wanted more. I do what a Turles even tho he's just a slightly bulkier goku recolor. Maybe hirudigarn because of the scale but ya final form cooler is the toiyanimation original character goat
I got mine on Tuesday and it's a great figure as soon as it was announced I jumped on it. Pleased it came out so good but an effect part or stand would have been amazing.

Bandai needs to do a full movie line. Even the henchmen. I would love a fourth form cooler with his armored squadron. Or Garlic Jr. and the spice boys.
To fix the looseness what I did with mine is, I popped off the legs and put some paper towel in the socket. Popped the legs back on and boom! It's wayyyyy tighter
Yoo this review was awesome. Top 10 figures of 2021 is going to be interesting. Also, have you thought about doing an updated top 10 SHF Dragon Ball figures? It's been 3 years since the last one, and the previous one before that also had a 3 year difference. I just noticed.
I was so happy when i finally got my cooler. And for characters I want in the line, janemba, Hatchiyack, (base cooler/ meta cooler) Tapion, super android 13 and maybe a DBZ broly 2.0 and a Buuhan

I would love for them to do a super saiyan dbz broly. Also I would love if they did a legendary super saiyan dbz broly but with the dbs broly proportions. I really hate how that first dbz broly figure looks.
I'd love more non canon characters. Cooler is my favorite of them. The day they announced this figure I had to get it. My brother decided to get it for my for my birthday but then it got delayed again and again. But I'm glad I finally got my boy Cooler
Janemba is at the top of my list, but I would honestly take all of the movie villains. A Tapion and Paikon would be awesome as well. And even a Hildegarn scaled like Oozaru Vegeta would be cool (probably not something they'll ever bother with though).
Definitely love cooler. Didn’t enjoy the wait but not much we can do about that. I would like to see more of those obscure and one off characters like Nail, Turles(another Goku), Bojack, base form or super saiyan broly, future Gohan and I’d really love a 2.0 Android 16 for sure.
I do have the figure and I'm surprised Bandai didn't do the monster arts way with the tail (series of ball joints) which would give greater flexibility with the posing

Got mine very recently too. This was an atrocity of preorder limbo hell; nearly a year+ waiting and unable to cancel at any point of course. Coolers my favorite design in dragon ball and I like the polish on the figure but I’m off preordering from premium Bandai
