It looks so unique that I find it difficult to criticize it for looking somewhat less accurate than it would have been if it were made out of plastic. It looks special. The sculpt makes me very happy, knowing that it will practically guarantee the future release of a normal version of Cooler's fourth form as well.
FIrst review ive seen of this guy where the person doing the review isn't constantly like "ok but im not going to move it because guys I don't want to damage my figure maybe you are ok with that but I am not so you know i wont be doing any articulation really.." I finally opened mine yesterday, with gloves on, and wow does he look great in hand and pose so nice. Like buttery smooth posing. Best P Bandai release in a while. 👍
The left arm of my Trunks just falls off with the least movement. I can't believe they designed that figure with such tiny short stifts in the bicep swivels. Left arm is basically unusable. Now you tell me Cooler's tail base can't move around? Nonsense like this shouldn't exist in over 60 USD figures. These are problems that are easy to discover and solve at the design stage.
I can't afford to buy this figure right now so I'd really like to see a video of someone shining different colored lights on to this figure just to see the cool effects it creates
Hey man! This is the first video I’ve watched of yours, and I loved your review! I think I’ll definitely pick up one of these guys if I can. Overall, I think he looks amazing, the metal look is, well… pretty metal to say the least. I think he will be a nice piece of contrast to some of the more matte finished figures. My only gripe is their extremely odd choice to not do his tail like Cell’s. I don’t see how removing a point of articulation at the base makes sense. Once again, great review!

I got him because looks cool (low hanging fruit pun maybe intended?), but what I'm really looking forward to is hopefully a 4th form Cooler down the line. This guy's gimmick is nice and all, and I'll be happy to have him, but I've never been one for the robotic forms. Metal Cooler, Mecha Frieza, etc. They don't do that much to me. But I can't deny that it looks out of this world on its own merits. That being said, I'm still going to prefer a 4th form to go with the Final Form. Not only do I like that version more, but it probably will give me fewer heart palpitations while trying to pose it. Fingers crossed they complete the trio of Cooler forms soon! They're basically already 70-75% on their way to a 4th form with this Metal Cooler's sculpt, anyway.
Oh we will get him now. Bandai has the mold and they'll want to capitalize on it as much as possible. So who knows maybe as a desperate attempt to get fans back in to watch more db shit they'll throw cooler in the shower and give him a few more forms. And some slight appearance changes.
@@Aaron_Heininger There would still need to be a few alterations to the sculpt for an accurate 4th form. The stomach area would need to be one organic piece, the toes and hands lose their segmentation, the tail needs to be changed completely. But that's all minor stuff. And honestly, I wouldn't mind a canon Cooler a la Broly from Super, but that's neither here nor there.
@@Zakjuh well actually only 30 percent of it only needs to be changed. If you have the figure you can see the ears are separate pieces, the butterfly joints have the panel texture under the arm pit. The stomach and crotch would need to be bone yes and then you have after that just the feet and hands and tail. So percentage wise that's only 30 percent of the figure needing changes everything else if they reused and colored the classic white and purple then it would be fine. And then you'd have a fourth form cooler. Just like that. So not actually much changes when you look at it. And if they wanted they could make the head detachable face plate instead of an entire sculpt like what they have. So it's not as bad as you think.

@@Zakjuh it'll be just like every other tailed figure. The only thing I don't like about metal coolers tail is how they did the curve in it. And that it's triangled.
Merry Christmas 86! Really awesome release! Might be The Best SHf dragon ball for me this year is he Cooler thanks Final Form cooler probably not but still cooler than freeza also odd that he shorter than Goku I think he should taller than Goku.
@@eightysixedreviews I hope so just as a cheaper version..which I can see them redoing just to again sell the same thing more then once. Since they know cheaper means they can sell more if less people are complaining.
The keying of the tail would’ve been fine IF they made the tail rotate on the other side of the joint but it doesn’t??? I agree that a monsterarts style tail would’ve been great but it would’ve added an extra like $20 on top of this being the most expensive regular(ish) figure. Pre posed tails are the way to go imo
It does rotate on the other side. It's stiff, but you can rotate it. The tail piece I'm mean, not the keyed hinge obviously. Each tail section can come apart. And the hinges between them can be rotated but they're stiff at first.

Thanks for the review! Maybe I missed it in the video, but was there any oily film on the figure when it was first opened? I've heard others saying there was some film substance to protect the finish. Just wondering if you had that experience as well.
@@eightysixedreviews I wish I could buy the new dragon ball shf, but they are so expensive and also my country has shipment problems recently. If I have the option to buy two figures from the line, I'd buy the new Goku Super Saiyan or Ultimate Gohan
