But we love the material from Rollin so much, it still felt worth presenting. Those airplanes were a major impediment to sound quality, due to them being on a flight path... 😉

@dannyscalf5965, there's something called EFT (or Tapping) - it's simple and easy to do and there's good research showing that it can be very helpful indeed for PTSD. You could find out if the VA can connect you to a trained therapist who can help you to help yourself using Tapping. Meditating and Heartmath techniques can also be wonderful, but as your PTSD is so severe it would be good to have the help of a good psychotherapist as you learn to take care of yourself in this way.. Well, my response to the video you recommended is probably not what you would have anticipated. First, I do not have “sympathy for all human values…..” because this presupposes that all values that humans have had, do have and may in the future have (ie. are ‘valuable’) are, in fact, worthy, morally speaking, that is. Some values may in fact be morally and spiritually repugnant and bereft of Goodness - for example, caste and race-based values. Now, this may be obvious, but it does, I think, point up the importance of not trying to sound too warm and fuzzy (as liberals are wont to do) in our attempts to be inclusive..... or maybe the intention is, in fact, to be vague. Nor does it help to take a relativistic approach to values and spirituality, for this presupposes that there is nothing to choose among them on a personal level, or anything approaching a communal, societal, national or global levels. For example, while it may be a good thing to promote unity and coherence, this could continue to become manifest in a form engineered by the NWO, with THEM in charge and pulling the (our) strings. This very approach is chiefly what characterises the New Age movement and the worry is that, if ordinary, regular human beings (like us) are not centrally involved in the processes of creation, we will continue to be side-lined by hierarchically organised, shadowy, anonymous forces over which we have no control. Likewise, equating higher levels of love with progressively greater levels of unity is also a mistake, because this approach does not, of itself, allow us to perceive the qualities which comprise a brand or instance of unity. If “love” comes to be understood as simply “the nice feelings that arise when we stand together….”, this would be a perversion of the concept. Associated with this is the likelihood that the electromagnetic field which attends heart activity does not inherently possess any substantive qualities - not even Love. If this is the case at an individual level, whatever at any point in time our (my) “heart’s desire” is, is not necessarily Good. The heart’s electromagnetic field presumably does not cease to exist or even diminish because I have less than pure, or even anti-social or destructive wants and desires. It does however, still make it what we (I) “want” and “desire” and because it modulates and is powered by the (my) heart’s electromagnetic field, it is very likely to become manifest. Now, if others (let’s say sufficient numbers to cause a global level of coherence) share my “wants” and “desires”, all manner of exigencies could become manifest, regardless of their Goodness or otherwise. In practical terms, this is not uncommon, for everywhere we see the emergence and establishment of highly questionable institutions, processes and practices in all areas of our lives, and the mere fact that they have come into existence testifies to the fact that enough people willed it, made it happen or, at least, allowed it to happen. This is really where both individual spirituality and morality (as in ‘moral reasoning’) have a critical and indispensable role to play. So-called education (with a small “e”) without these is dangerous. This is what we have today, and it will become even more oppressive in the hands of such elitists (inspired by Helena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey, among others) who believe we need to be herded, like sheep. Finally (for now) I don’t like the indiscriminate way Ken Wilbur uses the term “evolution”. However, at this point, little would be added to this discussion by elucidating upon this. Cheers

Thanks May I ask, what, in your terms, does S.O.U.L. stand for? When I googled it, basically I got nothing. If you were simply spelling out the word "Soul", that's fine. You say, "We all have our own perspective, whatever the ramifications of that are". Well yes, we do, and I substantially agree with the import of this statement. However, I think you would agree that it is highly preferable that our individual perspectives are born of an honest quest for truth (perhaps even in an absolutist sense) in an environment that truly reveres this and does not in any way seek to prevent it. I also believe that personal "fulfillment", in large measure, ought to be comprised of a sense of joy and wonder that comes from both the process and outcomes of truth-seeking, and the personal development that ensues.
