nothing is as good as traditional signals and signal boxes with a mixture of a steam locomotives and a Proper station any thing is better than the modern shit you have to put up with today.

James Dupuis static electricity off the metal handles on the signal levers is not uncommon

No, It's not static electricity. The cloth is used so as to keep the handle clean and to avoid a build up of moisture from the signalman's hands causing rust on the lever
