I stumble upon this video and I'm glad that I did. Taurus doesn't get a lot of play for anything other than price. I've owned several Taurus revolvers and never had a problem with any of them. I've owned a few J frames as well with no issues. I currently own a Taurus 856 I like the sixth round. This gun runs very well. The trigger is smooth and not as heavy in double action as a Smith version. Since I bought it used it was really inexpensive. I did add larger wood grips , but made no other changes. I don't always carry it but for discrete carry or running a quick errand, in a low danger environment, it's handy. In cold weather I can stick a snubby in a coat pocket because it can be difficult to reach my primary handgun that is under heavy clothing. Thanks for presenting this video!
Mile bike x, I really appreciate that and thanks for sharing your experiences. Now that I’ve had these a few years, I think I’d prefer a 6th round as well. You have me thinking now that my little Taurus would look sweet with some wood grips.
Great video, have the same Taurus, I think it was made in 2003. Works great even with ages of no good cleaning (that is how I bought it). With Taurus you might step with awful guns as well, depends on your luck, if your gun worked good, you got a good gun.
You should be careful pulling and cocking the trigger without having the side plate on your smith. I did that and broke the hammer pivot pin. That is a 150.00 dollar fix from S&W. Ya so much for life time warranty no more S&W for me. Just thought you would like to know. I really enjoy many of your other videos they are funny.
They are simple to operate, but complex inside. They can fail just like a semi auto as well. They are generally more reliable, but they are still machines that can break, wear out, and experience failures.
“Ach du lieber, mein schatz”! That’s my “standard greeting” to my gun lovin’ friends, especially to NEW ONES like you! Won’t tell you what it translates to, but it’s nothing NASTY!!! A “term of endearment”! Very nice & informative video - THUMBS UP! I’m the first one to give you this rating too! Feel honored!! Nice lighting on your work too. AND you talk like a “gentleman”, no “nasty words”, none that I could hear anyway!!! Think I’ll become a new subscriber too - you’re worth it! Very glad you had the good sense to use a TRAY for your parts. It could be a good idea too for one to take a cell phone photo of one’s gun “innards” as one progresses to remember how the parts fit together!! Remember, NO LEFT OVER PARTS!!! It’s amazing the engineering that goes into these guns! Thanks again for a well done gun review!!! “Gesundheit”!
ausgezeichnet! I am very honored. You are very right as well, a photo would have been a very smart beginning point, just in case. I am glad you subscribed. I like to have fun and I try not take everything to seriously. Hopefully, we can keep some interesting content flowing. I just do this for fun, and hope we can join as a responsible gun owners community and enjoy a few laughs now and then. I hope you have a great night. I had to dig deep back to my 8th grade Deutsch class. All I can remember though is, Das ist eine gummibär. Not to helpful. Glad to have you on the channel.
