(S1 Ep4) DIY 360 Kayak Fishing Light, Fast and Super Easy 

I sure appreciate any ideas that are so simple, to complete a project which has great purpose. To share it with everyone is just a bonus. I know this isn't perfect or infallible, but you've addressed an issue at a low cost. Fantastic. I've looked at the commercial units, but never bought one because of cost. Thank you, on behalf of the many who don't give a response, but like the idea. Good fishing to you, stay safe.

You could put a bolt through the pvc to stop the flashlight.

The rubber band will deteriorate quickly in the sun, wind and rain and will break off fast. There is very thin bungee cord on the market you can use that will not fail over a short time and will not have to keep replacing it. Good idea!

If you pull the rubber band over the top of the ball it with secure against itself no need for a knot.

California same thing new coast guard laws on in shore and off shore boating with kayak. And the light has to been seen at 2mile.. this what I was told

Question. What about a strope lighting? Would that be safe upon coast guard and game wardens if on the water?

This does not meet coast guard requirements! Not to be a downer, but I’m gonna spend the money on a USCG approved safety light that meets the safety requirements. My safety can not rely on cheaply made lights.
