At this stage it looks like we went wacko with the sabre saw. The two massive holes in the hull were a result of removing the engine bed / mounts and some thru hull seacocks. They had been glassed in, and we decided that just too much stuffing around to try and remove any other way than cutting the boogers out. We also discovered some delamination in the chop strand fibreglassing in that area. Also, sorry to disappoint anyone that thought you may get a week by week, blow by blow , minute by minute account of this refit / rebuild like some of the RU-vid superstars like Sailing Magic Carpet and others. That 'aint me. I live 100km away from where the boat is, and I work 9-5 in a 'real' job, while also doing care duties for one of my family in the evening. I get little time to work on the boat myself, so the main duties are with a boat builder friend I have employed to do most of the grunt work. I have worked with him before and he is excellent and he knows where I want to go with this boat rebuild. Take care all, and I will post update videos when I can, and as progress is made. Cheers.
