You nailed it when you said that those who have walked with Jesus their whole life may start losing their value of Jesus. I have gone through seasons of losing my desperation and fire for him because I’ve believed the lie that He is predictable. Praise the Lord His mercies are new every morning and we have the option to refill our oil cans!!! Woohoo! 🤠

Jesus said “unless we become like little children we will not enter in the kingdom of God.” Humble and dependent on Him alone.

I’m so picky about watching people talk about God anymore because the industry has just become about money and fame around God but I really enjoy this refreshing podcast. Thank you.

This was refreshing and much needed. I’ve been feeling very called recently to simply accept his love and his presence and this episode has given me that push. I experienced the ‘crying on my hands and knees’ MANY years ago and when i didn’t feel that intense presence after that encounter, i completely psyched myself out and lost my way. Thank you for this. Ally, if you ever decided to record yourself reading through the whole Bible like Jackie Hill Perry, I think I would actually be motivated to read through it. Or even just the New Testament. I love you so much girlie. God is gifting you with discernment, it is a blessing to be growing in Christ alongside you!

I feel like there’s different reasons why God doesn’t allow us to feel his presence all the time. One it’s us we drift away, another reason he wants us to trust and know he is with us even though we don’t feel him, sometimes it’s also a testing season. But I know what you mean when you feel him so strong that you just know he’s literally right next to you like elbow to elbow and it feels so amazing warm loving comforting etc…

I have been a follower of Christ for 21 years and there are so many seasons. And it looks different for everyone. One thing hasn’t changed,if you seek Him you will find Him.

Just last week I was reading a book called a praying parent since I have little ones and it gave me a prayer to pray for my kids i immediately went into their room since it was like 1130 at night and I started praying over them and I felt God with me protecting my babies it was so beautiful and I just wanted to scream with joy but couldn’t since I didn’t wanna wake them.

I’m a first time listener and I will say this lady is so vulnerable😮‍💨

Having the light of Jesus shine in your heart is the best feeling in the world. I accepted Jesus into my life 8 months ago and my life has been significantly better since then; better mood, more energy, just more hope in general. I didn't know I was going to feel so realized and happy after surrendering to Him until I did. I pray to never leave this path and for my life to never go back to what it was just a year ago. I need and want Jesus by my side forever, I want to find community and keep my heart close to God. So happy to see many people feeling the same, and awesome to hear your story and your evolution! I love you and all my brothers and sisters reading this. May our Lord Jesus Christ keep us safe and motivated to be the best version of ourselves. ✝🙏

When she said "You need Jesus every day to stay alive" I chuckled because it is so true.

At the beginning of following God, I was so full and I was so excited about God. Constantly talking to him as well as talking to people about God. Got to the point people were annoyed of me because that was the only thing I talked about. As time goes on I start struggling with my faith. It’s been a year following God but I struggle to keep following. One week I’m so on fire for him and then the next week I completely go down hill. Its comes in waves for me. It’s frustrating.

I was praying this morning because I am going through the same thing. I am still very early in my journey and I had 2 weeks of feeling His presence so intensely and I prayed to Him to please come back to me. Your video was the first video on my feed and had no idea what you were going to speak about and bam, you speak about the exact thing I am going through. God is so so good. He heard me, He hears you and He is always with us❤❤

Beautifully spoken! I've felt the same way about Taylor for years now. I will say though, the majority of those years were filled with hatred for her. I love how you preach love and prayer instead of hatred and spite. Definitely a better perspective and I greatly appreciate it as a fellow christian!

STOPP girl you called me out on using this podcast as my Jesus time 💀💀 I definitely get caught up in the busyness in my life and find myself falling into that feeling of ‘I’d rather do something else’ when thinking about the Bible. BUT I think the Holy Spirit is really working and I’ve been trying to read the Bible more 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Sometimes he tests us to see how much we do need him and love him. I was feeling like this the last three weeks. Like, “why am I not as on fire?” I still kept doing my Bible study and I prayed about it to God and was so honest with how I was feeling. I realised that God doesn’t want us to follow Him for feeling, but out of obedience because we love Him. And I believe that was the lesson I was meant to learn through this. Now I’m on fire again! But only after this revelation. ❤❤❤❤

12:56 im not necessarily a new believer like i am but im navigating it alone so it feels like im new. Ive been believing in God since 8th grade, but i was forced into catholic hs so I didnt have christian guidance. Jr Year during covid thats when I started my relationship with God, and since then been through so much trial and error. Been wanting to stray away from lukewarmness since early 2022, but i didn’t have proper guidance. honestly i should have seeked it, but i didn’t so it is my fault but I didnt know the true extent of being a Christian its like Woahh. I’ve tried to be obedient but when i would slip up, that would lead into backsliding. But ive been in a new season, and I know my Identity in Christ to not allow the enemy to spew lies enough for me to backslide ever again. So yeah now im seeking guidance (online via youtube) and through fellowship with a family friend. Its been life changing, but the past 2 weeks I havent felt Gods presence 🥲. Its like miserable but i know i need to keep showing up, but this podcast so far is comforting like hello i needed to hear this

27:11 i wouldnt say its easy, but i see your point. Its not easy bc many kids have trauma from parents forcing God, as well as school/church. They instill fear, super strict, etc. But, I Thankfully found my way out. Most kids I grew up with strayed away from God bc of school/church hurt. Its genuinley sad. Catholic teachings & school systems make my blood boil because of my experience, seeing my brothers and sisters in Christ be led wrongly. As far as growing up christian, I cant speak on that because idk what thats like. For me I grew up catholic, so horrible tho 😂.

Love this message. I am working on fellowship with ladies from church,joined a Bible study which is wonderful but I do have unsaved friends but working on my posture so they see Jesus living in me. At 44, I've believed my whole life...mom took me to church, but I due to laziness and not wanting to wake up, I pulled away in middle school from church...that and I didn't feel I fit in cause I never have anywhere....yes even church. I started back going to Chapel when I was in the Armyand even found a great Penacostal Church in Savannah. Things went downhill though...I met my would be ex wife right after I re-enlisted for Germany and proposed before I left and felt home sick and relapsed in my anxiety in Germany, due to missing her and other military issues dealing with crappy command. Got out came home...started living with her anf nothing but fights and problems...we both had issues but while I tried working on them, I didn't see her admiting she had real problems and believe her to be bi polar but she never to diagnosed. Tried moving our family from her manipulative past and only for her to cause us losing our forst daughter. Now divorced and raising my autistic son alone...that's a battle all in its own, and I raised him most of his life on auto pilot, grieving the loss of his sister until iturned 40 something snapped and started praying anf reading my Bible more. I can't even get interested to anything on TV or movies...I can't listen to listen to any secular music...or even a lot of this "Christian " music even. Your story sounds a lot like my ex's, she blamed everyone but herself and I feel she can't live on her own, and wants someone to be there for her....even when she was in church.

I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” You can call on God at any time and through faith he will be there right beside you, but for those starting out their journey or maybe those who miss his voice, this scripture reminds me that we have different seasons and different reasons for Gods presence in our lives as well.

Where do I even start reading? I’ve read so much of the New Testament. Part of me wants to just turn to a page where he’s speaking to me and go from there but that doesn’t happen. It’s like every time I pick it up and read, it’s not speaking to me how I want it to? It’s an issue I’m aware of and I simply don’t know what to do. I want to study the Bible but I don’t know how. Ally, what if i became a lukewarm on purpose. like I chose to stop spending time with God and so on ! Does this podcast still apply to me?? I became lukewarm bc of smth harsh happened in my life, so I became angry with God, knowing that it is not his fault 😟 but idk why I did it but I still love Jesus and want to get back on track!!!
