I just chatted with salt supply and the agent said we can use any type of ammo we want as long as its .68 caliber, and the warranty is 2 years, and it won't matter if the S2 malfunctions with other brands of ammo, they still will cover it for 2 years. I think I am sold on it. lol
I have had my S2 since early February. Out of the box with awesome performance. Depending on the day, the S2 and my FSC both go with me. One in my edc satchel, the other in my vehicle as backup. S2 also works well in a UTG vertical shoulder holster. Learned that from East Coast Less Lethal.
With the EP it punctures when fired with good fps as your test showed. Other launchers require you to do something first like push a plunger or fire on safe. Time is critical.
If it's true that the salt S2 we can puncture the CO2 and leave it charged for 24hr and it won't damage anything, thats a game changer. Now I definitely will consider it. Plus invented in Chicago a high crime city.
@@RapidAssaultDefense so they said it can be left punctured, but will the energy on those 5 shots be less after 20hr or so? This has to be tested! Btw your LE and S2 both in black make a nice pair.
I’ll take the S2 over the LE all day long. I’m just not seeing $500 dollars in the LE, compared to the S2 for half the price. The LE is a nice weapon. But not $500 nice. The S2 will hold six rounds, and if I’m not out of trouble by then, another mag isn’t going to help me.
@joesolo7719 I did yes couple time with the Byrna , but I won’t with the S2 I’m actually liking the S2 now more but still stand by 3 things that could’ve been made better . Honestly the only 2 launchers I’d recommend now for edc are the Byrna of course and S2 launcher
@@RapidAssaultDefense if you puncture the co2 on the S2, and say 8hr later you had to use it in self defense, would the energy in joules be less than if you used it immediately after puncture?
My newish S2 had a leak from the cap. Took it out to pop off a few mags, when I punched the valve I started to hear the hiss and gurgle. I own two of them so it was easy to confirm the problem. They are going to send me a new cap. But NOW I am worried about that problem. What had happened if I really needed it and that happens!! I do think (and should have tested) that I still could have got off 3 good rounds though because the rate off loss was not all at once. But.........
FWI, I punctured my Umarex T4E shotgun back in January and didn't fire a round. Until today. Left in my payload area. Two dust rounds into my wood fence from 25 feet that rocked the slats and sent the blue powder everywhere. And loud. FWI.
