Just discovered your channel after i got my AP1. You are exactly the type of mechanic we all need, the car guys mechanic. The attention to detail is insane, it's a shame you're on the wrong coast.
A friend replaced his clutch but the pedal wasn't very smooth. I was helping him replace the clutch master cylinder but it didn't help. Pulling from my LHT knowledge, I asked him if he replaced the bearing guide while he was in there. Unfortunately, he didn't. A few weeks later I got this message... ***"FYI My clutch issue was in fact the release bearing guide I replaced both guide and bearing, and properly lubricated with Honda grease, and my S is back to wonderful 😎 Things to remember, replace the $35 guide when replacing the clutch, and lubricate as instructed"*** I recommend LHT often.
Hey John! I ordered one of your brake master cylinder braces and install took less than 5 mins, and now the pedal pressure feels so good! it's nice and stiff now, it used to make a little clicking sound before if I pressed too hard on it and now it's gone! Must have been flex in the firewall...great product and it looks great!
Thanks for all these great informative videos. I am waiting on the parts to change my clutch master cylinder. Going to do the slave too. I don't have the maintenance history of this car and bought it as a project in the fall. So my thinking is to do it at the same time. How hard is it to get the clutch pedal off? The leak from the master cylinder has rusted the clutch pedal. So i want to take it off remove the rust and refinish it. You asked about preventing rodents in the video. I use little sonar speakers that plug into a receptacle. I have one on each side of the garage. They seem to work well. I am in Toronto Canada. So in the winter months when i am not driving my summer cars I am always worried about the car becoming a home for animals seeking refuge. Has worked so far.
@@LHTPerformance Billman says the Red Box is gapped special for the S2000 and is worth paying for. Others say the gap difference isn't worth paying for. If you haven't noticed any difference Ill probs just go to Autozone and save 40 bucks.
Are those rear tires on the red S2K directional? 15:37 Looks like they're installed incorrectly or rotated wrong. Oh, and it looks like u have a leaking valve cover 😄 Lol
I’ll buy a tshirt and sticker with that design John!! I just checked your store, I need a medium shirt please and also, what kind of material is it? Just wondering if it preshrunk if washed or dry fit material. Thanks!!
Hi LHT, I think my AP2 has the same idling sound as the red car in your video, would you recommend checking for valve adjustement or TCT? The car never misfires or gives me any trouble and maybe I'm just a little paranoid about the sound. My car has only 55000 miles.
Without actually hearing it I can’t really say. Usually a TCT will only make noise very low rpm while lifters are more noising around 3-4K rpms light load.
