I carry a State Certification as a Firefighter. Im certified in Suicide awareness and am also an EMS Coordinator. Incoordinate with the Alaska State Troopers, 911, the fire department the Emergency Room In Anchorage Alaska and the Medivac Helicopter. Ive been assaulted three times in my duties. Because I'm a State Certified First Responder to stop me or hinder me in any way is a felony. At times the State triopers call me to sit on a dimestic violence scene. I dont carry a gun, knife or stick. I literally have my hands and brains. Last week I was stabbed in the head by an intoxicated female. A year ago it was a man with a freshly cut 2x4. Most of the time nobody goes to jail, they usually listen to reason, the Troopers finish the investigation and leave. Sometimes its out if my hands becuse guns are involved, a drunk man having a bad day firing outside a school. Yup, I respond to school threats and I'm first on scene, always. I carry a challenge coin issued by the Commissioner of Public Safety and a Fire Department Badge. When imninteiduced to new police officers I challenge them with my coin, it gets a good laugh becuse they all owe me drinks.

Great interview, thanks to you both! Larry’s talk of the police department rewarding officers that help their community reminds me of a video I saw a few months ago. An officer stopped a car, I can’t remember why, but what the officer found was an extremely upset elderly man, I believe it said he was in his 80’s. He was basically in tears as his wife was bed bound and he had bought her a new HD tv, but couldn’t figure out how to hook it up. The officer to,d him that he would try and stop by later. A hour or so later the officer, and one of his fellow officers, who was the department tech junkie, showed up to the man’s house and got everything hooked up for this gentleman. It was so touching, and nice to see officers helping the people in the community.

How is it that a 28 year old guy whos never even been booked for anything is addicted to watching all of your stuff JD 😂 Been smart enough, or lucky enough, to keep my nose clean the few times i was doing something I shouldn't. Only time i have been in cuffs was a roadside stop where they detained me to search the car. Didn't find anything, was gonna give me a ticket, but since they didn't find anything he let me off with a warning. He told me he was letting me go without a ticket cause he didn't want to fill out the paperwork 😂

JD, I have seen a lot of prison reviews but you're among the best. And so is Larry Lawton! Have you ever seen the movie 'Blood in Blood out'? If you have not, I highly suggest you do. I think you should watch it and give a review on it. I worked in a prison for a short time but it was a women's prison. There was no gang presence in there. But this film talks a lot about that. Its a very good film!

I'm curious as to where/when Larry got his J.D. as full-time on-line law degrees (J.D.) were not available till the pandemic hit in 2020? While there are nine(9) ABA(American Bar Association) accredited on-line programs, none of the nine offer a 100% on-line program as all offer what's referred to as a "hybrid" curriculum where one combines on-line studies with on-campus learning, usually on the weekends. My husband would have loved you. Sadly i lost him april 3rd tragically in a car accident. I can speak on this now because hes dead and they cant do anything about it now. But he was molested as a child by his step father. I was also molested by my older brother for as long as i can remember. Till he was diagnosed as schizophrenic and moves into a group home when i was about 9 years old. My parents either didn't know. Or turned a blind eye. My husband found out a man was molesting his oldest son (god rest his soul) he passed away in 2021 of a drug overdose. Well anyway said guy went on a permanent vacation.
