99% of time a poorly charged battery causes this. It happened to me. I looked at fitting a bypass switch but realized the car had not been driven for over a month. Charged the battery did the key in key out thing from the video, and off it went no problem. Been starting well ever since and i run the car once a week to keep battery charged. No need to dismantle anything in my case.
it's been happening to me, i poorly changed the battery and it's giving me the streering lock malfunction. so you succeeded with just powering the battery and doing the key in /key out trick? what's that precisely?
For steering lock put it in the hole and tighten not undo . Comes out then unplug . Mine wasn’t locked to steering. Will leave plugged but tucked away afterthought
