Installing my Do88 Big pack kit. + bonus open air filter installation. You could get yours here: www.do88.se/sv... Follow me on instagram: / jonaskakarikas
Bro I love your videos, they are rad and super informative. I'm going to install a DO88 intercooler on my 08 95 AERO, already running a K&N air filter and absolutely love hearing the turbo and waste gate when I let off the gas pedal. Thanks for all the great videos their SAABtastic. Oh I am also running a K&N filter on my 03 95 2.3t Linear absolutely LOVE it!!! Carry on. SAAB's rule others drool.
On my 1999 Saab 9-5 my pressure pipe to intake is aluminum. I sprayed with heat shield and wrapped in titanium. I know it looks prettier shinny but idk I want lowest intake temp possible. Nice video on this install and Thank You.
Going with a Do88 intercooler and hoses, oil cooler, radiator, and coolant hoses for my SPG soon. Gonna be a pretty penny but it'll be completely worth it
That "stealthy" mod is really cool idea ! Now i wan to do that on my 9-5. Open air intake on my wife's 9-3 make a really HUGE difference in sound. I have K&N stock replacement filter on 9-5 (v6) right now and difference compared to stock paper filter is very hard to notice. Vonder if your variant will sound better.
Jonas- when you rebuild your engine next winter, can you also do a piece on either 1) baffling the sump 2) accusump 3) modded pick-up pipe 4) dry sump. Oil pressure on these cars is very low once hot if on track, and could do without oil starvation issues.
@@JonasKakarikas In my car (2,3) I have oil cooler and BIGGER oil filter whitch give me about 5,5 l. oilreserve. Of course, i have an oilpressure gauge.
The best filter setup is specifically designed for saab 9-5 by K&N they dont sell the full kit no more but you can buy 9 out 10 bits and can do it still, but i got one of the last K&N kit for £400
Awesome intercooler and cold air intake I was thinking of a cold air for my NG 9-3 TTID running it though the wing under the headlight and mount the cone filter behide the mesh grill! I think it look so badass. Then you broke my heart saying about the water getting in 😪 And i think your new intercooler they should in factory stencil spray DO88. On it so its seen though the mesh grill. Because if i took that time to do the work your doing i would make it look as badass as possible Great video keep them coming
@@JonasKakarikas I think the idea is that the turbulent air molecules collide canceling the energy of each other making for a more laminar flow. The same way laminar flow in water is most optimal for flow. Not sure what it's called but I know it's not an uncommon practice. I can think of the Miata as an example, if you find an image of the engine bay with the OEM inlet pipe you can see it there also.
Hi Jonas, thank k you for all these videos, you'r keeping the SAAB spirit alive ! One question- can you send link to the filter (product) you use in this one? Is it the K&N , it seem different as this i bigger and not cylindric as the MapTune / K&N ones.
The filter is from a swedish store called biltema, they do not offer online shopping. But Its very similar to an Aem filter. 3" fitting and approx 9" long or something like that
DO88 do make lovely kit. If I remember, mine is a Chinese replica made by a company called ‘winner’. Not sure if you still get them, but works well. I wrapped my abbott delivery pipe in reflectagold to keep intake temps low, which looks a bit ‘ bling bling’ but also works. The product was gifted, but can be expensive! My AC condenser is falling to bits, keep meaning to remove for more air, and my filter is just a performance one in a Swiss cheese drilled standard air box. You and your induction noise eh??!😉 enjoyed as always.
Hi, Jonas. Great job as usual :) My cooler is similar as Yours: the pipelineworks was quite difficult becouse my cooler was´nt DO88! The stealthmod: (eller luftfilter) , my solution is MapTun free filter without oil inside stock pack. It works great.
Hello Jonas ,from minut 9:11 till 9:16 ,I see that you still have AC condensor. Is it a smaller one then the original one.....??!! Or what happened...Thanks in advance for an answer...!!
as always - faaaaantastic/awesome/splendid job... Jonas - if this pandemic case will be over and I will be in Stockholm this year - I will get in touch - maybe we can met up !?
Hi! I'm thinking about build an inox intake pipe in 50mm for my 95 Aero MY06. I will install FMIC. My future plans are install TD04HL 19T, 660 CC injectors and walbro fuel pump to use E85 some times (not always) in Spain we havent got some gas stations with that. With stock pistons and rods. Will not go over 300hp. My answer is: Will be enoughy 50mm intake pipe for this? And... What exhaust is recomended for this. ( Street aproved with Euro4) 1 or 2 catalist? 200cpsi Thanks and congratulations for your channel and jobs 🙌 MASTER
Hi, If you are going to build an intake pipe use 2,5" (64mm) piping. If your plan is not to go basbaove 300hp you could easily do that with 15t turbo and a 2,5" catback exhaust
Hi Jonas, great mode about the free air filter but I wonder if it cause some trouble with the air mass sensor by the filter oil in T 7? What is Your opinion? Your videos is great stuff! I`m great fan of Your`s!
Tack Mats, svårt att säga med kan vara krängningsstag bak eller a-bussningarna. Stora bussningar som sitter i bärarmen bak, brukar bli trötta på Saabar 👍
@@JonasKakarikas did not know that. They actually claim to flow test things and just the way they write about their products seems more legit than some brands.
