Love the firmness! I love that you can change positions often and stay comfortable also. I love the idea of the Luxury Firm Mattress, because I tend to wake up on my stomach at times. The firmer, the better for me! Isolation of motion transfer is amazing also! Thanks for the review!
I do like that it has springs - like I had growing up, but it also has memory foam, which will conform to the body. I think we've lost something by doing away with spring mattresses. This is the best of both worlds.
I like how the pressure map shows that all sleeping positions will give light pressure, and how the individually wrapped coils shows the mattress is great quality.
It's so unusual to see an actual innerspring get reviewed. My dad has been hating the switch to memory foam so this might be a good option for him! I love that it comes in three firmnesses.
This Saatva is really nice all around. I love that this is a combo, with springs, coils and the foam. I didn't know that Saatva also sold bedding covers as well. Thank you for the review. You learn something new everyday in life.
I am a combo sleeper so I think this mattress would be great for me. Nice to see a review for a bed that doesn't come rolled up. The organic cotton cover is nice and the coil on coil build looks supportive
I really like that this mattress comes in 3 different firmness levels and 2 different thickness(es). My oldest son needs a thicker mattress like the 14 inch because he is a larger man at 300 lbs. and he is a stomach and back sleeper, so this mattress would be perfect for him! He also likes the softer feel with the softer top! Excellent review...I love all of your mattress reviews!!!
The key word is traditional when it comes to this mattress, old school, heavy duty. I've bought a few mattress in my life and the same thing always happens the bed ends up with sink holes, and just don't last. My current bed already has sink holes, I've only had it for a year. I have a good feeling about this mattress. It just looks like a well made bed , expecially for the price. This is definitely my future mattress I just got to save some money for it. Thanks for your review you guys got the best ones.
Thank you. Your review was concise, professional, informative and just awesome. I watched 4 reviews before yours wondering when someone was going to do pressure mapping and then cut into the mattress! Nobody else I watched did. I’m buying 2 of these beds and using your link. Thanks, man.
I am a side and back sleeper. I love the high density poly foam edge support. That is something I need. I have been researching new beds for a while, I have not seen this one. It looks great!
This is it! This is the one I need! I am a stomach sleeper (sometimes side) with back problems (mostly because my current mattress is saggy) and I think this would be prefect for me. In addition, the website says it has a lumbar support zone in the middle of the mattress which us stomach sleepers need. I LOVE that it comes in a taller 14" version and a traditional innerspring with the soft cotton pillow top. The 15 year warranty is prorated and they have a "fairness replacement" option which most other companies don't have. At a price of $1599 for the luxury firm king, I will need to wait for a good sale.
Having owned a 'luxury firm' Saatva for almost 2 years, my recommendation is get something else - it is VERY firm. - even firmer than a Beautyrest Black firm we owned. Still looking for a comfortable innerspring mattress.
I love that it gives spinal support/proper alignment, as a side sleeper, that is something that I really look for - this would be ideal for those purposes.
The coil on coil concept is new to me. I like the bounce and the firmness options. There appears to be good side support which I really want. I love that it has a cotton cover. Great that it has high density foam supporting the sides of this bed.
I am getting more intrigued by the coil on coil design, which I learned by watching Sleepopolis reviews. Saatva's Luxury Firm version sounds great! The motion transfer test results are amazing which are important for us. I also like the organic cotton cover and its edge support. No wonder Saatva is in my stomach sleeping husband's top 3 wish list!
Hey Sleepopolis Team, I like the Saatva because it's a traditional inner spring mattress with an updated business model. I also prefer a firmer "7" rating in the medium-firm spectrum. Thanks for the opportunity.
The Saatva looks like a good mattress for stomach-side combo sleepers, like me. I like the pocketed coil layer and the support and bounce it provides. I'm also impressed with its edge support. Thanks for the review!
I'm primarily a side sleeper but generally do ok on a medium firm mattress. This is a beautiful one. Your ball test confirms for me that this mattress would probably be good for me.
This sounds great with the coil on coil, good edge support, doesn't have that sunken in feeling, and good for combo sleepers like we are, just sounds really wonderful.
As a combo sleeper that can be fairly restless, I like the good blend of pressure relief and support as well as the bounciness of the mattress. I also like that it's on the firm side of medium since I spend a lot of the night on my stomach. Thanks for the review!
THIS is MY MATTRESS!! Yes!! My absolute fave! I’m loving the mobility and being able to change positions easy! I am combo sleeper, but the review regarding side sleeping makes me curious about the softer version for the more I push feeling. I’m not a strict side sleeper... but I do switch to the side often.
I like that it has steel coils & the foam edge support. It sounds like it would be more like a regular old fashioned bed which would make it perfect for me. Thanks for the chance!
As a combo back/side sleeper who doesn't like a super-soft squishy mattress, this one sounds great. I really like the solid structure of a traditional mattress and the outcome of the motion-transfer test and edge support for couples, too. Top of my list, this one!
I like that Saatva is good for couples by helping to isolate motion. I also like that you sleep on top of the bed due to the coil on coil construction. Looks like a good night's sleep.
Great review. Traditional mattress gets my attention! Trustworthy for sure. The construction is awesome from great support with the wrapped coils, to memory foam and the motion test is a big bonus! I love that the cover is 💯 organic cotton. Good looking mattress too! I appreciate your review!
That edging is top notch! I have read a lot about the Saatva mattress. This seems like a great compromise for our sleeping habits. Luxury-firm’s features in particular.
Oh my, I love this mattress. It would be a blessing for us to have this--or a softer version since we are side sleepers-- in our lives. Happy Holidays!
I toss and turn a lot through the night due to bad discs in my back, so the motion transfer would be a huge plus for someone like me who disturbs my partner often. I benefit quite a bit from a firmer mattress, but most firm mattresses that I've tried makes it insanely difficult for me to turn over because of that "stuck" issue you mentioned, so that bounciness to help give you that momentum to turn easier is huge! Thank you for the review, I learned a lot.
I love that it's organic cotton. As a back sleeper, this Saatva seems like a perfect fit for me. Not sure how I feel about the inner coils, but if it makes it give more support, I'm onboard!
I prefer the Loom & Leaf relaxed firm over the Saatva and how you get that more sink in contour feeling and that it sleeps cooler. Not saying the Saatva is a bad mattress just prefer an all foam bed over innerspring. Saatva luxury firm might be a little too firm for me as a side sleeper, i would go with their plush soft version, 11.5” height profile. I think Saatva is the cheapest luxury pillow top mattress out there. Its just over $1000 for a queen. Great review as always
Hey Logan! Great review/comparison video. I am a combo sleeper and sometimes just can't get comfortable. I like that the Saatva has the memory foam on top and the coil on coil underneath. Looks like a great mattress for my needs. 😁
Fun fact: The 11.5" version is compatible with an adjustable base - the 14.5" version is not. I'm glad you made the distinction that Saatva is a luxurious innerspring. It was the 2nd mattress I tried. I thought it was a hybrid, but it didn't have enough foams to provide proper pressure relief as a side sleeper. Your pressure mapping test results made sense to me. I also didn't like that Saatva's returns have a $99 fee. I was in LOVE with the organic cotton cover though!
As a back sleeper, I like that it is slightly firm and evenly distributes the weight, relieving lumbar pressure. I'm glad there's not a lot of sinkage - I don't want to feel stuck in the mattress!
This mattress is a tad on the firmer side and if you sleep on the side - May have issues with pressure points (they have a softer version). Great motion transfer!
The luxury firm option sounds perfect, but I like that they give you other choices for firmness. The coil on coil technology is great being a combo sleeper.
I’m one of those who prefers the traditional innerspring mattress. I appreciate that the sides have that edge support, I don’t like when I set on the side of the bed and it sinks so much I feel like I’ll fall off. And I love the length of the warranty.
I appreciated your mentioning that the Saatva sleeps hot. This is one of my main concerns. I also liked hearing about the motion stabilization so my husband and I dont wake one another when moving around.
Coil on coil with soft top organic cotton layer sounds amazing for me! Being paralyzed it's not easy for me to turn over at night on a soft mattress. This one has just the right amount of bounce and firmness for me.
I like that this bed does a good job of isolating motion transfer and has such good edge support, especially since my partner is a 'rotisserie chicken' sleeper. As a combo sleeper, I think this would be a great bed for me!
As a combo side/ back sleeper, this may be perfect for me. Traditional inner spring sounds more durable then all foam and the materials sound perfect for my needs.
