I love Sabaton. I love this song. I don’t know if I’ve heard all their songs but this video brings tears to my eyes. Why? 3:28 She’s *SIGNING* the lyrics to the man. He’s deaf. How beautiful is that?!? Proudly married to a Desert Storm Tank Commander Vet. His dad was a WWII Marine. His words “Even at 70 he was a badass. He was a Marine. I wish my Grandfather were still alive! He was a WWll marine, Grandpa was the coolest biggest strongest sweetest BADASS I have ever known. He had deep scars and nightmares and stories he never would tell his precious granddaughters, but we learned later the truth of what and where he was. He would stand up during my band concerts when we played the Marine Hymn. How he would love this song!
So if i remember correctly, "devil dogs" came from what the germans called the Marines at balleau woods So, as a German, my respect to the Teufelshunde😉🤘
Nice reaction and I'm glad you feel they made you and your fellow marines justice. I'm proud to be Swedish when I hear Sabaton's music they give so much respect to all people in war and history no matter side or reason they were in war for they just retell it as it was.
While he may not be a Marine, my step father served with them in Vietnam as a medic in the Navy. Once a year around mid-December i join him and keep him company as we drink and he remembers those he served with but never made it home.
Sabaton have so many awsome sings. Im not sure i heard a bad one yet, and i been a fan for 15 years... my favourit as a swede is, not swdeish pagans, but ruina imperii, such emotions in that song
Song is defnitly an awesome tribue to US marines. There are so much to recommend but I will leave few of about my own country cause songs in themselves are awesome and history is amazing as well: Winter war/talvisota Soldier of 3 armies The white death Great reaction and I love to see reactions with actual emotion that music deserves!
Id love to hear Screaming Eagles, its about 101st Airbournes holding of the bulge in bastonge. Its not marines ofc but its still some of the finest fighting invividual soldiers of the USA ever did (as of yet).
