That was a lot of fun! And as it was (or will be) mentioned by a lot of people if you prefer going blindly into the song you can start with the song and do the history afterward! Likewise there's both a option of having both song+history in one reaction or you can always separate them into two individual reactions as well!

I really like it this way, so we get some more of the information of the story behind the song, before hearing it, but after could also work. And a deserved shoutout to Indy Neidell for being such an amazing storyteller.

Sabaton History had me so hooked while they were still doing weekly episodes that i used to watch their episodes just as they came out during my lunch break at work

i LIVE in Sgt Yorks hometown, i never got to meet him myself but i did get to meet ms Gracie his wife and you could not find a sweeter woman anywhere. the movie Sgt York is required watching when youre in high school. he had the state of Tn fund the high school where i went to school and gave a lot of poor kids a chance at a better education not only in his life time but even today. there is a VA center near nashville that is dedicated to his memory. he was considered a great man by many people who did know him. everything in the movie is true to life, from the bar in the first part, to his fighting for Gracie ( he was known for a temper until he got saved) and what he did in the war.

If you feel like it spoils you to do history first I would recommend doing the history episode directly after doing the song :D I can understand wanting to "go in blind" but I do love seeing this alot.

I would suggest you check out white death next. It's an older song of theirs but it is great. And they also have an history video about the song

Yes, I was there, front row, awesome show!🤘😄 Amaranthe was opening band for Sabaton on their European "Great Tour". (Apocalyptica was the other opening band). Watching the History episode before reacting to the song... ? Could be spoiling the surprise, but on the other hand giving the story of the song. Tough choice, but it's all up to you to decide 😊. I really enjoyed seeing the reaction to the history episode as well! But it doesn't matter that much to me if you do it before or after the song. I would honestly preffer whichever way you would rather do it in, since I think that if you make the reaction in the way you want it and feel is more fun, it'll make a better video and watching experience in the end. :) Since you like Indy and the way he explains history I can recommend his own channels, WWII and The Great War. If you want to learn more history about the first and second world war on your own time, those two channels are a great way to do it. They started The Great War channel exactly 100 years after the war started and have one episode a week where they go through the events that happened during that specific week 100 years earlier. They have a playlist in chronological order that gives the best viewing experience in my opinion. The WWII channel is doing the same thing I think, but i haven't watched it yet so I can't say for sure.

You should also check out both groups' music video as they differ a bit from the product and also this one but then start with sabaton's video with music lyrics but you do not have to make a video of it but can mention in one of the groups later what your short opinion was about it. It may be good that you know a little more when you do Sabaton so I do not see anything wrong with doing it like this (although I have seen some there and almost everything that you get recommended) but you also comment on history with your opinions (some recommendations are also based on where you are from or say what you have been through so there may be more personal connection than some other songs) a song I can imagine you will like (if not too close to yourself) is "to hell and back"

I really do love watching the history channel with you, so I would be very pleased if you continued doing it. There are a couple of things to think of though. In what order? History or song first? For me, I think history first is better, it gives the song a meaning right from the start and that is a huge boost for me. But I do understand if you don't want those snippets of the song to spoil your reaction to the song. I tend to see those snippets more like teasers or trailers instead of spoilers but as I said, I do understand the concern. So it pretty much comes down to what you want. The full meaning or a 100% blind reaction? Either way I would love watching it with you. :) But one thing that would probably go over better with some people is if you separated the reactions. One for the history and one for the song, since I (unfortunately) believe that there are people that don't care about the history... Bad people! (That last one was supposed to be said like you say "Bad dog" to a dog that do something bad.) :)

I think I would prefer the song first and the history after as they use alot of the song in the history story it almost feels like a repeat hearing the song after. But that may just be because I know this song so well before seeing your reaction.

No need for reporters on the front anymore. Go-Pro helmet cams and drones are widely used in Ukraine these days. You will see the unfiltered reality of combat. You boys from across the pond should do the same "next time" ;) Keep it Kosher!
