VERY INTERESTING!!! 1/ The history lesson about the Wolfpack and the British navy: Something everyone should know about. A well narrated and presented history lesson! 👍🏻 ( I have always been interested in World history. My grandfather taught me a lot. Said that history often repeat itself.) 2/ The interviews were nice. A REAL conversation took place! With facts and everything AND in good spirit and humour added as well! 👍🏻 ( 😂😂😂 The intelligence-test!!) 3/ The Sabaton-song: 👏🏻🎸❤️🤘🏻!! So VERY, VERY, VERY good! Informative and musically 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻! The singing makes You understand the absolute horror about the situation! Wars are AWFUL!!! 😰😰😰 And the history with multiple wars still goes on and on……. 😢 Thank You, Highly, for reacting to this! 🙏🏻💜

This is one of my favourite track from that album. The solo is hunting and Joakims voice is both commanding and, in my ears crying. Can't even imagine the horror the soldiers on those ships must have felt.

Indy talked about the "tonnage war" early on in this one...and it is important to know about the results of the tonnage war between the Allies and the Axis powers...both before and after the US entered the war in December 1941. In the Battle of the Atlantic before the US entry into the war, the Axis needed to sink over 300,000 tons of shipping in order to "win" the tonnage war for each month...when you factor in the UK's ability to build new ships to replace losses...the Axis only "won" the tonnage war 4 out of the 27 months before Pearl Harbor. Once the US was in the war the Axis needed to sink more than 700k tons to win in a given month...and they only managed to do that 1 time between December 1941 and the end of the war. To be sure, the Battle of the Atlantic was an incredibly tough fight that was a true game of cat and mouse on multiple levels for a long time, and there were many months when it felt like the Allies were losing even to the highest levels of Allied commands...but analyzing it in hindsight it is clear that the Axis never really had much of a chance...especially after mid-1943. Oh...and one severely limiting factor that prevented the Axis from just building a bunch of subs to win the war is the tremendous fuel shortages that the Axis operated under. The fuel shortage was particularly important for submarines in the Battle of the Atlantic because the German synthetic fuel production process could NOT make diesel fuel...and pretty much all subs in WW2 used diesel engines.

Great reaction!🤘 Since a few years Sweden went back to the conscription system. The difference now is that it includes women as well. Back in the day, women could volunteer, while the men didn't have any choice. Both of my daughters, 15 and 16, will be called for try out when they're 18. My oldest is, like her father, already interested in the tech part of the defence and will probably try to take that path. She already has potential in that category. Nowadays that is an option, if you're not physically fit for the fighting part.

During nurnberg trials they tried to convict karl dornitz of warcrimes for the laconia incident but karl had proof that his u boats tried everything they could but it was the allies that broke the rules of war and even killed their own civilians in the process and that's why he issued the laconia order because the laconia incident it was very common for german u boats to help survivors either by leaving behind food or life boats or messaging the allies of their location and more but after this incident it stopped if the allies didn't want to have honour neither would the u boats The Laconia order was as follows: 1. All efforts to save survivors of sunken ships, such as the fishing out of swimming men and putting them on board lifeboats, the righting of overturned lifeboats, or the handing over of food and water, must stop. Rescue contradicts the most basic demands of the war: the destruction of hostile ships and their crews. 2. The orders concerning the bringing-in of captains and chief engineers stay in effect. 3. Survivors are to be saved only if their statements are important for the boat. 4. Be harsh. Remember that the enemy has no regard for women and children when bombing German cities! Karl got 10 years instead of life or execution unlike most high ranking germans this is why i hate the allies of ww2 they often broke rules of war bombing civilians ra*ping mass executions and much more except we are taught today that only the allies were saints and the axis were evil when in reality all sides were evil
