Sabrina tries to overcome her pancake addiction with a magical syrup. #SabrinaTheTeenageWitch I Now streaming on Paramount+ Where to watch: para.mt/Sabrina
Interestingly, MJH herself said on her podcast that this is her fave episode. She liked that it was silly and she got to do physical, slapstick comedy. To her it was different from most other episodes.
That's funny, because the show was literally paid to write this episode by the US government. In the 90s, the Clinton administration spent millions of dollars bribing tv networks to include explicitly anti-drug episodes in their most popular shows. In most cases, this incentive produced pretty lackluster television. I'm glad it worked out well for Sabrina :)
I was a child when this episode originally aired and I thought something like,"Why does Sabrina want pancakes so much? 🤨 As I grew up, I realized that her addiction to pancakes was a g rated reference to drug addiction. 💡
@@Whimsy3692 Jenna really does a good job with the facial expression she’s like so suprised and can’t believe Sabrina is willing to eat floored waffle. Or that Sabrina was taking her teasing when she usually is able to push back against Libby. Maybe Sabrina should be extra sweet to Libby and Libby would stop making fun of her loll
@@christopherbingham5092 and I think we can agree most of us do become Flapjack fiends sometimes and Salem has the best one-liners in the whole show hence why he's the only character other than Sabrina to be in every episode
Probably would be tempted to eat them right away if she conjured them. At least maybe she can munch off the individual ingredients without making her case worse.
"Because our feelings for Sabrina really matter, here’s a spell to prevent the aforementioned Sabrina from conjuring pancake batter" another example of incantations needing to be precise, not pretty 😅
Because she’d never had pancakes while she lived with Hilda and Zelda. As she is half human, her mortal mum probably made her pancakes when her dad wasn’t around and as a child she hadn’t came into her powers yet
I don't know why, but it always annoyed me that the lunch lady took that bottle of maple syrup off the table. Even though it was already being used. It was super rude!
