Thanks for taking us along. I love the delta. Question though. When I have anyone under the age of 16 on my boat they have to be in a life jacket. Is it not required after the boats are certain length? I noticed that kids on a fishing boat I was on weren’t wearing a life jacket.
If you go to Rio Vista go to FOSTERS BIG HORN...It's a Bar Restaurant one block off the main Drag...Foster was a Big Game Hunter and the whole place is covered with Exotic Animals...My Dad took us there as early as I can Remember..You can go Down Stairs and it's also full of Mounts.
I lived in Pittsburg and used to Boat the Delta ALOT...When they were trying to push Humphrey out of the River I was out there in my Seaswirl watching Humphrey...There were probably 100 boats watching The Whale...The Coast Guard, Sheriff wouldn't let you get to close....I lived up off Bailey Rd and knew my way around all the little Islands there... Humphrey took off and lost all the Boats...We were aways from all the Boats and Humphrey Popped up about 30' Crossing Infront of my Boat Scaring the Hell out of Us...We cruised along with him for about 20 minutes ...He was popping up every once in awhile... Finally the Sheriff came and ran us off.... Humphrey was getting Sick because he wasn't in Salt Water...I think it was about a week Later they finally got him to go out the Golden Gate...I don't know if he's still Alive..He had Distinctive marking and had seen him all over.
He went into Casche slough up to the first bridge and turned around back out to the deep water channel down to Rio Vista and back to the ocean ... yup was a big deal and people swarmed to see him good luck Humphrey !
