Think of it like this, your father isn’t worth your tears. He isn’t worth your time, that family he has... doesn’t even belong with him. He must be selfish, to leave his child. Like all these kids, they know it wasn’t their fault. Nor will they truly trust them, because they absconded them. I know what that’s like but try having it been seen and you get ignored and even though he was physically abusive and verbally abusive and mentally abusive you give him a chance again and again and you get your hopes up so much to just be torn apart again
My dad abandoned me when I needed him most. Instead of comforting me when there were storms at night, he just told me to shut up and stop being so sensitive. Instead of loving me like fathers are supposed to, he abused me for almost 10 years and never failed to point out all my flaws. Now he plays the victim while I hide in my room crying myself to sleep every night
Life is harsh, I was also physical and mentally & emotionally abused... but what I realised that my dad did his best, if you want to get beyond if you have to go back and rescue him... symbolically I mean not literally 🙏🏾
When my dad told me that if I die one day, he just dig a hole and threw me away like that because no one cares. And all I asked for was a word of advice because he was all I had...but i never had him. Because I was a disgraced to him.
I seen my dad once when I was 12. Literally, he didn’t even come to my birth nor is his name on the certificate, he started calling when I was 10 or 11 but they stopped after the 7th one or so.🤷🏽♀️. Edit: He also has 10+ other kids by 5+ different women. So I take comfort in knowing im not the only one.
I feel you my father left when I was 3. And when I was 7 I got to see him for 6 hours and after that I never saw him again. And he has 7 other kids possibly 9.

When you cried , it doesn't mean you are weak but it means that you stood so much and you no longer can't stand any more pressure or stress so you were strong and you are still strong
This reminds me of my uncle.. He would always call me to come to him to play with him.. He would buy me everything i wanted he was an artist he drew me, he cared for me.. I was little when we were called by hospital that he has a problem with his heart.. He survived 1 time.. And the next he was gone.. He went to a church and collapsed.. He had a heart attack.. I miss him so much.. But i know he is still here.. In my heart..

I can relate to these all so much. I haven't cried in months but was depressed and nothing was making me cry anymore even tho I kept saying all these things were wrong they didnt make me cry. So I listened to a dad audio thinking it's not gonna make me cry its just gonna be relatable. I've been crying for at least five minutes maybe longer now listening to dad audio after dad audio realizing that... I've been needing to cry over him for a while but never wanted to admit it..

I may not entirely relate to this but I do in some way my parents separated and I suddenly became invisible even when I started cutting they still worried about my older brother some of my friends who have younger siblings say I was the favourite until they were born I was born into a family of lies and favouritism of the males I am the one who does the chores not my brother I’m broken and the treat him as if he is even tho he isn’t I cry myself to sleep and the sad thing is I’ve perfected lying about my feelings and making my tears unnoticeable and silent whilst they just choose my brother I’m turning 15 this year but maybe it will be my last birthday with my family.
I lost my dad a month ago, Do you ever like simulate a situation were everyone pitty's you? Loves you? I thought it would feel like that, But i just got angry, it feels so unfair, I blamed him for not fighting harder against cancer, not because i thought he could do better, just because I didnt want him to leave me. My father left me when I was 14 while I was laying on my bed because of my backbone surgery. I still remember that he didn't even say goodbye to me. I only knew that he left when my grandma told about it but it's too late when I knew about it. I tried texting him but he never replied. I don't know my dad. He never wrote me a birthdaycard or was there for me when I was alone.. when I need my dad. On my 14th birthday he wrote me over on Facebook "hey sarah it's me,your dad. Happy birthday". I'm done with him... I'm 18 now and this was the first and last 'Happy Birthay'.. But I don't need him. Not now and not someday cause I have my wonderful Mom and my Siblings.

Why was I never enough I've tried all my life get good grades stay out of trouble but I was still a disappointment to my father and I got disowned for finally not hiding the real me for sticking up for myself.
