They had grown up toghether, Dave and Tom. They liked the same things, they played toghether, they slept toghether, they made other friends toghether. They were inseparable friends. But one day they met Lara. Lara, maybe the beauty in person, a great , amazing personality Dave really liked her. He fell in love with her. He told Tom. They put up plans and strategies toghether to make Dave stay with Lara, but evry time at the right moment Tom disappeared. Dave never really minded. One day, after years of having her only as a friend, Dave decided to cconfess.Tom bought roses for him, he gave him his finest suit, and he got a date with Lara. But at the very last moment Lara called, saying that she couldn't go to the date. Dave was very sad, almost depressed. Tom tried to cheer him up, then he left. Later that night Dave made himself brave, and decided to go to Lara's house and confess no matter what. When he arrived in front of her door, he heard strange noises, liked some soft bumping rythm. He went to the back garden of the house, and looked throught the window. He saw Lara and Tom making love, doing what Dave and Lara should have done. Dave had no apparent change of facial expression. He only went to what seemed to him the garden tool house, that in fact it was, and took the axe. He went back to the back-entrance door. Using the axe he entered the house. He was forious.

God, Lucas...your music.... I always lay down and close my eyes to listen to your music because it allows me to /feel/ the music. Just listening and hearing the emotion: the denial of being betrayed (No, I'm their friend, they wouldn't, they /wouldn't/), the pain and discord (Why?? I trusted them!), the turmoil (Who can I believe anymore?!), and the shaking tendril of tentative trust afterwards (Maybe...just maybe I can believe in them). God.....you're unbelievable Lucas, and so talented.

It's like you predicted just how the manga would go. This song fits this image perfectly. Betrayal. What a fitting title. What a fitting image. What a heartbreaking ending.

i love how this conveys the feelings of both, the one who betrays and the one that is betrayed. The utterly break of a bond, the tormented solitude. A becoming of less than you were, a broken promise, broken honor, sadness and fear. Some things never heals and could never be forgotten

What's really pleasant in your work in my opinion is how much the music is related to the title. I tryed to think about every feeling that could go with betrayal and they were all figured out in this piece !

Secrets emerge like blooming black flowers, threads of grey that I can pin to the white sheet of my childhood. It's forming a picture of pain. Neglect and anger, mistakes and promises and stubbornness and apathy. I love the satisfaction. Every time a new story reveals itself is when I can illustrate it's silhouette precisely in permanent ink, pieces fitting into place. Shadows layering upon blank space. And I enjoy it in this sick, self-damaging kind of way. The relief is just an accessory to my hate. But with the sense made, voices swoop into my ears and dreams - maybe this is for he best. But they clog up in my chest and I don't want them to leave, every word like a strap on my back. Throwing salt at my welts of materialism. Asking for me to give up already. Greed. Selfish desire. Child like hope - I hold onto it all, grit my teeth say I'll cope. But I can hear them laughing, and loath their presence. They know it, yet they stay, as clutch them with life-saving, desperate reverence. Combing fingers through my hair, thumbs brushing my cheeks, sweet kisses goodnight, grinning as I sleep. My emotions don't change, meek as they are, wrapped in scarves and bundled between my spine and my brain, desperately keeping balance in stern solidity. They are immovable. But they build pressure, in my lungs, my sternum, my neck. Sometimes bubble to the surface in vines of prickling damp eyes and thick phlegm in my throat and I get angry, because they should stay where they should be. Regulated, sturdy, bound in this rope of imaginary capability. That my pride cooked up for me in the steam of self belief, narcissistic ideals to keep from my muscles lest it be expressed in anything other than confidence, assurance, firm grounding and soft appeals of understanding that somehow seem to slip from under my veil. Somehow I still seem breakable, no matter I try to make myself feel less fragile, less brittle. Less real. No matter how hard I try to pretend in denial that - none of this is real. None of it has been real though. None of this illusion of stability. I have been lied to. I have been deceived. By my own childhood dreams. Things that everyone should need. Fake and crumbling, it seems. Built on sand and only pinned at the seams but now it is collapsing and my legs are crushed bloody beneath the beams that I once felt so safe under. Once I would be convinced that it was a safe place to sleep. Once when I would be happy and once upon a time, when I would think that I unquestionably deserved this human right of peace. What is peace? Who is at peace but the ones ignorant to the black flowers blooming beneath the sheets, waiting to be traced, taking their time to be seen?

I love this one, it really nails the feeling of being betrayed. I don't know how you do it so well Lucas, but you've done it again. This is absolutely amazing. Plus, I really love that you used an Attack on Titan picture.

Lucas King I haven't listened to you in a long time, but I've been going through some pretty shitty stuff. An I feel like my best friend betrayed me, because he didn't tell me until later this summer that's he's dying. And this song makes me feel like maybe I'll be okay without him. Maybe I'll have someone to save me..music saves me but it's not enough. Anyway, idk y I'm saying this. But. You and your music, help me a lot, when I get angry a lot, when I'm depressed a lot, anyway. Anyway, this song fits how I feel....all mixed up and not sure what to think. But thanks. For your music. There's something in this melody that reminds me a movie I watch long, long ago. In particular, one of the last scenes, where it's discovered that the guy that was a hero for everyone was just a big fraud. You can see all hopes and dreams crumbling down. These notes have the same feeling: Revelation, disenchant, anger, and finally, an unbearable sadness.

There was a daughter and her parents. They loved her very much. They made her happy. When she was in her depressed times they would just listen. They said they were there for her no matter what. They would be on her side everytime anytime. But, later when she was growiing up she realized. “They loved me” she only thought or did they ever? Was i happy because of them? When? Were they listening or just watching TV? When were they ever there for me? They laughed at me when i was in trouble. Haha... i guess, i was alone from the start.
