I feel like now that human learnt to plan and avoid pregnancy using contraceptives why shouldn't we dissolve the institution of marriage and using the modern technology should give liberty to have intercourse with the partner of their choice that could be multiple partners too and let government take the responsibility of creating babies in laboratory for upcoming generations. One hand we have invented condoms and on other hand we talk about monogamy, marriage and so on, does it make sense. Our ancestors have come up with marriage to ensure a kind of bonding and smooth way of ensuring a partner to every young person born in the family, and to ensure this happen they have come up with many methods like panchagams, muhurats, star compatibility etc. All this to ensure every member finds a partner with in the family itself with out struggle and there by ensuring a bondage maintains between partners who doesn't need to stay with strangerly feeling post marriage if they get married outside family. I have my own doubts what ever the medical science is saying these days that whether marrying a partner from close relatives will lead to genetic disorders in their younger ones is true or not which needs to be checked again. What I am saying is marriage in current scenario is absolutely foolish act. Either we should dissolve this or should go back to the olden days and strictly follow every custom related to it which our fore fathers have framed with great research. I want to know who has defined 18 as the age for women or men to get married when she or he turns into women from girl or to a man from boy at 13 itself and she or he been educated about sex and she or he takes every liberty of trying it and not get caught using contraceptives. When women and men has liberty of having sex before 18 itself and got technology of not getting caught up then why 18 the age limit for marriage at all. All these demands a big debate on the marriage system. Either we be with marriage with out contraceptives and with in family marriages at age of 13 following all the customs or totally come out of it and donate eggs and sperm to create babies in lab
