I've seen from freaky injuries in sports, sometimes it's not how hard someone is hit, but where they're hit.

I think since she had issues before it finally just gave it cuz that seems odd to be hit once and be done like that you know? I wanna know what happenend though! I will be treating people like this in my future cuz I am going to school to become a physical therapist and I myself have shitty back issues

@@user-le9qp7te9o you must don’t understand the body is a weird thing . the slightest bump can agitate something on someone’s body depending on where the injury took place , but when playing a sport , an athlete who gets injured adapts to a certain way of playing to prevent getting hurt and with basketball comes anticipation . she probably didn’t anticipate that contact to happen or it could have been something she did , like not get the correct position to not hurt herself . back injuries/issues are just weird in general ..everyone’s body is different , so the contact doesn’t seem like a lot to you but could have been a lot to her .

I hope she’s okay. It hit thoracic/lumbar region…and hopefully it was something that will allow her to regain movement again. That was so freaking scary. The human body is so fragile. You think it (the human body) can take anything, but that is not so. Somehow her nerve was hit (I would think) so I do hope that we will hear better news tomorrow. I’ll be praying for her.

In boxing they say it's the hit you don't see coming that does the most damage. I think that's also true in everything else. She didn't expect to get bumped like that and was unable to prepare for it. Someone else mentioned a prior injury, I don't know about that but that could be a factor too. Regardless, things aren't always as they appear from a distance.

It's for the ones that's bad mouthing her for not getting hit hard how about you get hit unexpectedly in a previous injury and feel it. Your back is very sensitive and I believe she had legit back spasms when she got hit from behind.

0:07 this is what I can't frickin stand about basketball nowadays the player has the high percentage shot close to the basket open look instead of taking the easy shot throws it to three pt line and the player misses !! It frickin drives me nuts!! I scream at the tv sometimes . however hope the player that's down is gonna be okay

the play is clearly designed for the girl at the top to take that shot at the 3pt line ..also , that wasn’t a clear drive , she had someone in front of her so it would have been contested . the girl at the top was open for the shot

not true , it depends on how & where the contact is taken on whether it will aggravate a previous injury . she’s been playing & making contact so she probably adapted a way of playing to not get hurt again & being cautious . she was cleared to play , that doesn’t mean she won’t get hurt again or won’t experience pain from it anymore

Cuz its how society is these days people plah through injuries 24/7; It is not very healthy in my opinion I just imagine if players actually took the proper time to rest etc how sports would look I feel it could have pros and cons, but more pros to help the individual and worry about their health more. I believe since she had/has precious back issues her back finally gave out on that one hit. She never properly rested her back when she did injure it prior so thats what these things happen. Its like someone keeps picking at someone until they finally snap and say I’m done. Its a risk playing through injuries. I am going to become a physical therapist and when I treat people I am going to tell them take the rest and f the people who want them todo sports asap it isnt safe at all you just risk urself being in more pain later on tbh. Additionally, I have major back pain right now I think due to carrying heavy backpacks to school a lot and my back finally just said hella no you need to fix me and im 25. So thats sort of what happenend here she kept putting pressure on her back by playing and it finally gave out. Your body can only do so much you know? Sorry for long message lol
