I love the profiles concept. At night, I take care of a woman in her 90s and I play music from the 40s and look up old movie stars and movies. Plus, I look up health things for elderly people with dementia. I would love to have those searches separated from my personal searches.

Always enjoy your videos. Well done. Succinct, and focused on software features that typically are of interest to me without the fluff and excess. I think the profiles feature in Safari will be particularly useful to me. I'm a PhD student involved in running two businesses, a for-profit and a nonprofit. It will be very useful to have personal, business, and student profiles to better manage my internet browsing experience.

I like being able to say Siri without Hey and asking more than 1 question without starting over. It’s the small things for me. 😊

Siri still can’t intelligently answer questions, whether you say “hey” or not. What is the point of asking a digital assistant to find you some information, when all it does is respond with “this is what I found on the web”, and then shows you a page you have to read. Wow. Big feature, Apple. I can now summon the fairly unintelligent assistant without having to go to all the trouble of saying “hey”. Give those developers a Nobel prize.

What about bookmarks in profiles? Would profiles sync between devices and will the bookmarks also.

Yes it syncs across apple devices using safari including bookmarks

Plz help before the update I can control from any point with my finger moving the video forward or backward For example like RU-vid. But now I can’t use this feature anymore. So is there any solution?

As usual, very clear, excellent videos, on how to use these devices, and. Here’s a point of frustration, say for example I want to share just my movies in my movies app with my daughter, but I don’t want her to have full access to all of my Apple content because I shared my Apple ID with her, how can I just share movies with my daughter ? To be clear she in a different country and I tried to use the family sharing option, but apparently if she’s in another country, she can’t even access my purchase content . So I thought providing the password to my account would help, but I have to share every single thing including my email This is what I find frustrating about all sharing options and all applications, it’s not always clear what’s being shared, I could have confidential documents that I don’t want people to see for example, and I don’t want them to have access to that

Hi 👋 Regarding Face ID to unlock private browsing, I never get the chance to press "unlock" because Face ID kicks in and unlocks it for me. Is there a way to stop it behaving like that? Was the press-to-unlock feature just a beta thing? Thanks for your videos!

I have a problem with the bookmarks on the toolbar. Normally I can rename a bookmark to blank so that only the logo is visible. Now it won't let me do that. I MUST write sth or at least name it ".". Anyone knows how to fix this?

Any idea how I can keep the night clock on, on my iPhone while sideways and charging. It goes off after a minute or so. Have ios17.

You’ll have the setting in standby settings to turn always on/off if compatible

I am not sure why but I liked the feature of being able to move videos front and back by sliding the finger on the screen but they seem to have removed that!

I appreciate your clarity and conciseness here as much as ever, but the appeal of Stand By eludes me. Doesn’t it only limit what the phone’s able to do while charging? I must be missing something. Hasn’t iPhone always been able to do these things and more while charging? I’m thrilled about virtually everything else in iOS 17.

Was waiting for this video, really as I wanted to make sure I set up my numerous profiles proper. Only thing that has me a tad uncomfortable is the FaceID - I’ll stick to 6-digit passcodes or passphrases for now, love. I know there is this hoopla about protecting our privacy when FaceID is incorporated but is it really? As always, your videos are clear, direct and to the point. Kudos!

Sir, I updated my iPhone 13 to ios 17 through iTunes. Everything is fine except reminders. Auto sorting of groceries is not possible

The only requirement I have for a browser, is the ability to add a good, free adblocker. Apple does not allow that. I don't want to buy an adblocker in the App Store, most certainly not one that requires a subscription.

I was a bit disenchanted by the "excitement" over features which I didn't think (subjective ... my opinion) were very exciting when in the past all videos have detailed things that ARE very useful and mostly new to me. The profiles are not as useful as chrome profiles. Why would we want Bookmarks, Saved Passwords, Payment Information, and Personal Information shared between work and personal profiles? It should all be separate. In chrome you can even have lastpass extensions logged into separate work and personal accounts. Disappointing. I was hoping to switch to safari.

LOL... no one knows how to change "Open New Tabs" in the Safari Profiles... every time I see a content creator go over it, they either ignore it completely or click on it and go "oh, I'm happy with this default" and then move on. It seems like an incomplete feature that can't be changed, but it's just funny that none of the people covering it actually acknowledge that it can't be changed, and just zoom past it.

In USA English, 'favorite' (no 'u') is standard. Whilst here in the UK 'favourite' (with a 'u') is the standard spelling.

I love your videos; but I’m afraid that iOS is a bloated mess and doesn’t look to get sorted out any time soon. I look at all these profiles, posters, customisable ring screens blah blah blah. If Steve Jobs looked at iOS today, he’d sack 90% of the people responsible for it. It’s a mess. What is the killer feature? Doesn’t exist. It’s layer upon layer of complexity.

The majority of iPhone customers ARE American though so the chance someone is clicking on this video and wanting to know how many Hungarian Pengo its going to run them is pretty low.
