You need to read the back of the NPX Bioplastics bag from Two Little Fishes. On the back of the bag, it states in the instructions that you can place the pellets in a mesh bag in your filtration compartment. I believe that Julian Sprung invented this biopellet system.

I've been dosing NoPox for several months via my DOS on my 225. I had successfully pegged my HANNA Checkers out. My nutrients stayed flat. My best method was doing SEVERAL large water changes to lower them. I did see improved color in my torches. I'm still dosing NOPOX. 2 weeks ago I was down to 7.8 and 0.14. Traveled for work for a week and now I'm at 16 and 0.19. It will be interesting to see what my levels are tomorrow when I test again, but i'm seeing another 40 gallon water change in my future. Always looking for suggestions.

Just saw your video - Very nice I have a 250G and my Nitrates are about 35 and Phosphate is .30 (just trying to get it under control as tank has been up for 5 months with my fish and old live rock) (Had my tank leak so had to start up from scratch again was up for 5 years) Always had high Nitrates and lots of Phosphate I always ran GFO to keep my phosphates down to 10 and Nitrates where around 20 or so if I remember (my fusion isn't showing me my old data) So if I use biopellets do you still RUN GFO? Thanks hope you reply :)🐠

I don't have a sump on my 90 gallon reef tank nor are there any bulkheads drilled. im planning on dosing with no pox and buying a dosing pump, if I can keep my nitrates down 20ppm and dose reef plus, reef carbonate, and reef complete, how often and how much should I water change, I imagine I need a sump for the carbon pellets

Is having rock rubble in a sump section the same as bio pellet?

can you use biopellet and nopox together?

No because both are carbon source. Only use one

why not just dose bacteria instead of trying to feed it with a carbon source and cause other problems
@Saltwateraquariumdotcom
@Saltwateraquariumdotcom 2 года назад
The bacteria needs food and the carbon source provides additional food. More bacteria = more nutrient uptake. And using a carbon source doesn’t automatically mean you’re going to have other issues.
