Not all of California pays the highest salary for nurses, only Northern California. There’s a big difference in salary between SoCal, Central Valley and NorCal. NYC salary is higher than SoCal and Central Valley, but lower than NorCal. Here in NorCal nurse’s salary ranges from $76 to $105 depending on your status, full-time or per-diem, with 15+ yrs of nursing experience. Nursing experience from the Philippines is also counted as work experience.
Hi Newbie Here! Travel Nurse Po Ako. Thank you po for this info. Keep on vlogging
After a year, umiwi akong Pinas at di na sana babalik.
Ohhh my gosh!! Your working too many hours! You also need self care and mental health day break.. I know money 💰 is hard to insist, we need to mag ipon. Pero we have to take care our self in order to take care of others. Dami din offer na pandemic pay specially Nung surge ng delta and omicron but i feel like mag kaka PTSD ako! I feel burn out! Now I’m planning to have a month vacation sa pinas! A must for us who works hard! Pls take care of your self❤️❤️❤️
Maraming matutulungan?
Hello nice to meet you how are you doing today how is the weather over there you really look so nice on your profile how is your family hope they are fine?🌹🌹🌹

thank you.. im doing my nclex review right now. i hope i pass. im also considering there in oregon or washignton. im 47yo na and i hope its not yet too late for me to move there in the US.im here in UK at the moment ksi.
Ohh noo its never too late.. hope you pass your nclex! Do you have any relatives in the US? I feel like oregon is not that strict when it comes to requirements for foreign nurses.
Wow! Same here, Firefly! I am in UK for 19 yrs, 47 y/o na din, off to US in 3 months time, for good!!! Go, go, go!!! Success happens outside of our comfort zones, ika nga, there is nothing to lose, we can always go back if things won’t work out. Good luck!

At Kung Alam mo ang ibig sabihin Ng salitang "contentment".. nice video Mel keep safe...flying to Seattle next month to visit friends ..
12 hour shifts pala kayo diyan.8 hour shifts kami sa Santa Clara,California.Ang ICU lang 12 hour shifts sa amin.Sa amin you dont negotiate your rate. They assess you based on experience and pay you accordingly. So lahat ng RN2 regardless of unit will pay the same.In gist, ang ICU RN gets paid the same as the med-surg RN if they both have 5 yrs experience for example.
Same here about sa pay, it depends sa experience meron braket sila and duon mag bbase how they pay you. Do you like 8 hours or 12 hours shif? Mas mahirap ang med surg floor, although they are not acute ill, but you get more patients? Sa ICU kasi dito sa amin 2 patients max.
@@triggersafe1 yes. Sa tele and ortho 4 patients ang max, sa med surg 5 patients max and minsan pag short staffing they can give you up to 6! Which is unsafe ratio.
Wow ate.. Grabe.. Nag dadalawang isip po ako kung magnurse pako o radtech buti nalang napanood koto...by the way mag 2nd yr BSN napo ako..paano po kayo nakapunta dyan?
Hi Nurse Mel, mag ask lang po sana ako if dapat ba walang 'gap' sa working experience bago ma hire sa US. 4yrs akong registered nurse dito sa ph with almost 1yr experience sa icu. I resigned last 2020 pa. Do I need to reapply again here and work again to get a recent experience or pwedi na po yung 4yrs tas meron lang gap. Thnx po. God bless!

Any advice po if hindi mo napasa ang board exam s pinas tapos napunta ka s america do you still need to go school or pwedi n po ba mag take ng board exam s america?
Pedi nman maski na di ka pasado sa pinas, you can still apply for nclex RN exam dito sa US, you don’t need to go back to school as long as you are qualified to take the Nclex RN.
Hello nurse mel, newly RN here and want to become USRN 🙏 Bog impact ba talaga may experience dito sa Philippines at anong area and ang need ko dito sa PH specialized area or bedside? Thanks pooo
It’s always good to have a bedside experience. Med surg will be a good one kasi ma ttest talaga ung patience mo duon and your time management and also your stress management. Maganda ung orientation dito sa US pag bago ka they will give you enough time to learn. Good luck hopefully to see you here soon. Balitaan mo ko.!
Hello po miss RN pwede po bah mag tanong if pwede lang bah mag trabahu sa US if fresh graduate po??? Then may contribution or inaacknowledge bah nila Ang bar exam sa PH??? Thank you po and pa shout out nalang po
@kevin Longno Ou you can start working dito sa US even if you are fresh grad, as long as you pass your Nclex exam and you have the legal papers to come here is the US, a lot of hospitals have residency program for new RN graduates, not sure about the BAR exam.
Hello po.Senior hs palang po nd just wanna ask what if di mo mapasa ang NCLEX? what will happen?mag teTake po ba ulit?but ofcourse it takes a year ulit maybe?huhu hope you notice this po.
Yes, pede ka mag take ulit if you failed.. but you have to apply again, the process might take you months, depende how fast mag response yung state, Minsan 2-3 months ma receive mo n ung ATT (authorization to test) mo. Thanks for watching my video! Hope it helps. And I wish you all the best😊🙏🏽
Hi Mam!. Do you recomend accepting job offers in Acute Rehab Hospitals? And pano po ang set up jan pag sinabing Acute Rehab? Thank you and God bless🙏🏻
Yes. SNF is a good place to start pag baguhan. SNF is not a hospital. Rehab place sya para sa mga pasyente na need ng Physical therapy/Occupational therapy or long term antibiotics.
Tiaga muna in the beggining. As you climb madami ka ma eexperience na mahirap, nandyan na ung u will experince racism, hard working tau mga pinoy kya minsan na aabuse din tau, know your rights, tska ung home sick… stay humble and you will be rewarded. Thank you for checking out my videos! 😘
Sorry to hear that po.. hopefully ung anak nio ma realized nia na she is very lucky to have her parents around and able to express her gratitude sa ginawa nio sa knya.
hello can I ask some advise , I'm a physical therapist by profession , working before in Saudi Arabia , i went back here in the Philippines year 2015 , I entered into a rental business short term like airbnb and long term rentals. I went to bankruptcy during pandemic and until now I'm still paying the debt that I incurred. I'm thinking to enroll in a nursing program in one school that has a special program for second courser like me that will be finished in 2 years time I'm 43 years old and do you think still worth to take up nursing at my age ? thanks
I’m sorry to hear that.. heck ya! 43 is still young I have a co worker that graduated in nursing at 47! Here in US they have ADN program associate degree in nursing that you will be done in 2 years, you can take your nclex, pass it then get a job in the hospitals by that time you can get your BSN online. And some hospitals they will get you a reimbursement of your tuitions. It’s a win win!
3 days lang pero it’s 12 hours/ day, so you do 36 hours per week, and that’s consider full time you get full benefits na. Then you can work full time sa other place if you want, or just pick up shift to make extra money.
Hi Mel! Thanks for sharing your experience and disclosing your pay rate. I’m an RN here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve been a nurse for 12 years and I’ve worked in the same hospital for 8 years now and I started at $50/hr. Now I make $85/hr and $10/hr for night differentials so that’s $95/hr that’s not including weekend differential pay. Just so you know we are one of the lowest paid RNs in the area.
Hello po! Nag search ako sa google and I found out that Oregon is one of the best State for nurses to live in, in terms of career development. As of now my son is preparing for his NCLEX. Dumaan po ba kayo sa staffing agency? Baka pwede nyo i-share because he is considering Washington State, Minnesota and Oregon. Thank you and more power po
As soon as i found out na nag pumasa ako sa nclex RN nag apply agad ako sa hospitals and Skilled nursing facility, agad natangap ako sa facility and i grab that oppportunity right away. Goodluck sa Son mo. I know he will make it.!
Nurse mel...may 6 years experience na ako sa Hospital settings at 6 years din sa community settings.....May chance na po ba ako maka work sa hospital as a Experienced nurse?
If your experience is here in the US it is counted.. pero if sa ibang bansa they dont recognize it. But I will still put it down in my resume. Where you from?
@@dioscorojoelurian3455 you will be ok. Ang mag puti dito they really love filipino nurses kasi nga we are really passionate and loving. Im proud that I am a filipino nurse! 😊
12 hours per day, mostly dito sa mga hospitals, 3 days ka mag wwork if you are full time, bale 36 hours per week. Yes pede ka mag work sa dalawang hospitals as long na di magging complicated yung schedules mo.
Hi Bernarte… Ang pag kkaalam ko, they are very strict in reporting med error, di namin nllaman ang data.. pero if you are following the system and protocol the chances of med error is little. Kasi we scan patients wrist band then we scan the medications, mag error or mag alert pag me Mali sa medications so maiiwasan sya. And pag narcotics we need witness 2 RN check ganyan…
Do not compare salaries of nurses in the Philippines to nurses in the United States! Because you will create a wedge between two professions, instead explain why nurses in America earns more than nurses in the Philippines! The cost of living! That’s the reason..
Thanks Janice! When I first came here sa Portland I was renting a 1 bedroom apartment in the city 2017 and it’s a nice area close to work, it was $1,700/month, not included the parking, street parking lang.
Yung accomodation mo sagot nila or ikaw pa maghahanap ng tirahan? Yung transportation mo paano arrangement nila? Huwag lang puro sa salary naka focus. Marunong ka na mag drive vehicle?
Nice congrats Po galing nyo Naman Po..madalang Ang may ganyang opportunity..stay safe Lang Po new friend Po from #rick tv. Pakibalikan nalang Kubo ko Po. Thanks
Thank you po sa napaka informative na topic...nakakamotivate mag aral para makapasa sa NCLEX...11years of working in the hospital dito sa Pinas..hope to work there in one of the hospitals there sa US...magkano po pay ng ICu nurse there?
Thank you! Review ka mabuti ha.. pass your nclex, motivate your self everyday. ICU nurses makes depend on your experience. My coworker she’s been working more than 11 years here and she makes about $60-68/hour.

Actually meron shortage din ang med tech. Tawag dito sa California is Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Pwede kang mag take ng board exam thru ASCP( American Society for Clinical Pathology), just log in to their website for added information. Then if you pass the exam, you can apply direct to the hospital if you know somebody na nag trabaho na, if their employer is willing to hire . Or you can ask your friend, if meron silang kilala na recruiter.Usually ang range ng payment is from $5000-$7000. Be sure legit .Kadalasan ang bagsak sa Midwest USA or depende sa demands. Marami ng nakapunta dito thru the recruiter. Just be careful in choosing one….I hope this information helps you Ms Alexandria.

@@susiethebaker2610 yes I work here in Oregon. It really depends on your experience. A nurse can make 45-50/hr ir more on a med surg department. If you are a brand new nurse I heared they start at $40/hour in a hospital here in Portland area. As off 2022.
Huwag mong e compare the best salary between 2 countries or more like America and Philippines dahil magka iba talaga. As if you are not a Filipino. Cyempre America yan standard yan mayaman na bansa pero saan kba nag aral at natoto dba in your own country ginawa mong training ground ang Philippines. Mag isip ka girl.
