@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM I'm along the same lines with my channel ..... I like my 100 quality subscribers .... 🤣🤣 Ain't a proper sailor like you but can get to Holland and France from the UK (Paper) Chart read and plot . Haven't missed an episode since I found your channel , have been stuck really sick on a boat alone , felt your covid pain and struggle, love watching you sailing the shit outta that boat !!
Hi Peter, another great sail. The effort you make to get the job done is immense and to be commended especially as a solo sailor. I vowed i would not assist any channel financially, however just broke that with yours and the elcano challenge. You ability to show the reality of sailing in its raw sense is great without endangering yourself or the boat. Take care and look forward to the new chapter in your sailing life. Well done cobber!
With 36 days to go, Plukky is only short of his Kickstarter goal by $158....come on people, lets get him over the line...he deserves some good stuff happening after all his hard work. 4 hrs later....🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Plukky, it's happened, you've reached your Kickstarter goal, congrats.
terrific and like ive commented before... yes .... she is missing out and she is missing you and YOU... no need to go back to that, keep moving forward, dawn arises!!!!!
its a Wonderful quality in you that does miss her, it speaks to your heart... these qualities which do value relationship and taking vows and commitment and marriage seriously. as you slowly recover, trust that it is better to have these qualities and character traits than to be like so many other guys who are just hard and move on too quickly...so what if it takes you longer than others to move forward..... .sometimes you may want to be like those other guys because they don't seem to hurt like you hurt... reject this because this is not you and not your heart.. ... but believe that also they will not heal like you will heal from this... its okay and only natural to have your sensitive spirit and to be different, you cared for her and your not wrong she has good in her too, despite her weak choices which have cost you and others.... one day it will be YOU who wakes up and the pain of this will be gone and you will not have had to harden your heart and change who you actually are.. you will get to remain sensitive, caring and committed and some real woman will be reaping the benefit of YOU. vs some hardened bitter man... Stay the course...You will know yourself so much better as this process goes... making you even better as a partner... allow yourself the freedom to be in this mostly crappy place as this place and time shall certainly pass.. Routing for you brother!!
Just joined the kickstarter crew, you seem like a hard worker & a genuine good person who would help someone if they needed it, so an easy decision to pledge. Thanks for all the videos over the years. Top stuff
Thanks Brian, in a time we will all see how much better the vlog is and how the possibilities would have increased a hundredfold... There will be heaps of quality videos so thanks to you my friend for believing in me, you won't regret it.
Send me an email or look up lightning ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Hddk_bAzhy0.htmlsi=uLCUxXix2kYbF48f watch all three videos. Also look up the exile series ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3we1GOFjpRQ.html there are 9 videos. This had 4.5 million hits all up as a series. Enjoy
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM But you are a LOVABLE $&#@ CongoRats on a successful day sail. In my teens and twenties I never failed to challenge a storm, though my dad and I fled in terror from a horseshoe front and swamped/sank our 14' Rhodes Bantam (who cares about following seas once you are on land) landing on the beach at the Key Biscayne Beach Club - that was after breaking our tiller and steering to shore with a steering oar.
Just clocked your Kickstarter success Pete... crack on skipper! Off around the world on a self-sufficient Mumby using renewable energy only has just got a step closer! What an astonishing achievement Plukky... massive congrats and respect from me mate!
Don't know the actual time frame of these vids. Hope your health has returned and wish you the best on your newest venture! Burlington Bill here of the song Sailing to Freedom.
Wow! A fantastic and informative video. Although some help on board may have been beneficial, at least you didn't have to worry about someone else's safety. You are a remarkable sailor. I admire your spirit and enthusiasm when facing challenges.
Nothing but love for my crazy Plucky 🤪 I never hear anyone mention God! Good on ya mate for doing that....and God guided tou in safety 👏 👍 🙌 This is how you single handedly sail a boat!!! HUGS from your Tennessee girl. God bless and always keep ya safe 😀 ⛵️
I would watch that for six hours straight. i didnt miss a perfectly formed bottom one single bit .SERIOUSLY. Theres proper boat management going on here. This is the real sailors life. Adjusting to variables. TOPPER
Hi, great dancing with the storms ( storm boy ) very informative, you show us that getting out there amongst it, teaches us what its like and what to do, takes the fear out of it, mostly, thanks heaps
Fantastic to see the "Elcano Challenge" coming along, I hope the Kickstarter campaign far exceeds your expectations to help get this project from drawing board to execution as I know first hand everything adds up quickly when it comes to building boats. All the best and looking forward to seeing your video's on this.
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM We all need you to get back on the water as soon as possible, to keep the dream alive. With all the doom and gloom in the world atm, dropping anchor at some remote paradise island to catch and cook sure does sound like a plan A rather than a plan B.
I am happy that you decided to keep making videos, I know it can't be easy living the life style you live. it takes money and patience to live on a boat and create content for your subs. your attitude about everything is awesome, I feel for you man, you over come so many obstacles and you do it with a smile on your face. I wish I had the financial resources to help you buy a newer boat. and the creature comforts upon that boat. you are an awesome individual , a survivor and a great roll model where over coming adversity is concerned . I have been following your journey for a while now, through the good times and the bad. there is going to be a time when you catch a break and things go your way I know this to be true.in the mean time thank you for not giving up on your channel and pumping out great content for your subs.!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah we went down to Elizabeth and Middleton reef first and got caught up in some crazy weather so we sheltered for a day. Was hoping to explore the shipwrecks but it was way to rough and dangerous. But still enjoyed it.
You’ve become my favorite sailing content creator since watching the Podcast w James. I appreciate your spirit and also the skill you spear fish with. I’ve given it a go for a few months but your skill is admirable. I’ll try to join the Patreon soon- after living in the islands a couple years - I say Pluck it and quit good jobs often. If you have a post office box somewhere your heading to in the future could send a gift or two
Wow 😲 peter its like ones really there sailing with you, i appreciate your exrodinary skills mate , so good, scary stuff, thats what i call sailing 👌👍🙏❤
Plukky, Wilson and his lady seemed a bit deflated about leaving San Andreas, I hope they've settled into the comforts of Linton Bay! Excellent video mate!! 😎
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM BTW, well done so far on your kickstarter! I hope you've been in touch with James & Ana, they're on the way thru the mine fields of Orcas on the way to Gibraltar...
Top Stuff Plukky. This is the type of stuff that I like to see, real sailing. You know your stuff - that's a giv'n. Looking forward to seeing some more. Sorry I don't meet your timezones for your live's, One day (night - nzt) it might happen. Cheers from NZ. M 🇳🇿
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM your going to love the place especially sailing around fijordland , incredible part of the South Island, won’t have trouble getting a feed down there either.
I do knot know if I have shared this previously or not, but I learned (and perhaps is is misinformation because it was decades ago) to scrub the hull on a changing tide (maybe outgoing is best) but it pull the nasty little creatures that want to find a home under your skin away from you. I do not know how often I comment on your channel, but I never miss an episode, liked and subscribed. The most I can do at this time. If you would quit sparring with thunder storms, you maniac, you might have more electronics left aboard! "Bring on the Storm!" misquote from Tempest. What did you do, scoff at Thor in the theater once too often? Water tanks full?!? Gawd, you make me feel YOUNG again! When you sail in the tropics, or sub tropics, getting rained on is a free fresh water shower - change clothes each squall to rinse them all out! Worry about drying them out (before the mold) later! Laziest tell tales I ever seen! Course I am a total novice.
Scrub in the current so it flows away and do it with ear plugs otherwise you get crabs in your ears. Thanks for the likes but please more comments... It really helps
Always good to see the weather and listen to your description of what is happening. Perhaps a better explanation of where you are and where you are heading would help us follow your course.
Hi there mate, some rough sailing there but exhilarating, glad you're back feeling good now from a while back. Stay safe and thanks for the videos and look forward to the next.
Blood alone moves the wheels of history! Have you ever asked yourselves in an hour of meditation, which everyone finds during the day, how long we have been striving for greatness? Not only the years we've been at sea, but from the moment as a child when we realized that the world could be filled with cold drinks. It has been a lifetime struggle. A never-ending fight. I say to you, and you will understand that it is a privilege to fill a glass with ice! We are warriors! Capt. Poopey, I ask you once more: Rise and be worthy of this historical hour! No revolution is worth anything if it cannot cool itself with ice cold beverages! Some people will tell you refrigeration is a bad word. They'll conjure up images of warm beer and hot chocolate. This is our duty: to change their perception. I say frosty drinkers of the world unite! We must never acquiesce for it is together, TOGETHER, THAT WE PREVAIL! We must never cede control of the motherland or the refrigeration!
I miss you boo boo ahh I mean Dr... Please keep them coming. You should have some fun with the new boat I am building about how I probably have a secret frig hidden there or here ... Should be good
Seems you and Nelson are holding up ok. Little damp but respite between.. Agree probably nice to not have others at risk and God seems to like you so hope all that keeps on the positive side ......
Looks like your Kickstarter is nearly done Plucky! Congrats. Looking forward to seeing you making vids on your new catamaran. Top stuff & be right sport! Get some more shrimps on the barbie & pop another one ;)
Woohoo Plukky! Congratulations on reaching your goal! Three cheers for winning twice this week … reaching Panama safely and achieving your AUD70k target. Hope you can sleep better now and I hope the contributions continue to grow with 35 days to go. :o))
Indeed Brent. Thanks to you and 332 others and we have made it. One stone off my heart, 6 more to go....oh and a sh!t load of editing to do too ha. Top stuff. Thanks for the support and the comment.
... plus, if you can manage it .. squeeze it in between all your editing .... I'll look forward to a walk through Jamie and Princess's Mumby 48. And make sure to ask him the $64 question ... if he had his time again .... what would he do differently in his build...... he should be a wealth of knowledge with all the miles and passages he's done. :o)
Oops! Subnautica is a game involving a spaceship having crashed upon a primarily oceanic planet and the player as one of the survivors making his way from the floating lifepod he landed in to ever-broadening reaches and depths of the ocean and surrounding islands. There is a lot of holding breath and diving down for resources prior to fabricating scuba tanks, so this video's portrayal with you exploring the wrecks distinctly reminded me of what one does in the game. I'm always impressed at how long you can hold your breath when cleaning your hull or fishing or doing repairs. I'm sure part of the issue for me is the 50°F water in SF Bay where I'm at, but the couple times I did a free dive without external air source to cut a dock line off a friend's propeller shaft or try to free a stuck aft anchor had my diaphragm convulsing within seconds it seemed. Hey, if I took my electric solar powered Oceanis 400 down there and made you 50.1% owner, would you be open to that kind of non-romantic partnership? :D
So, your in Linton Bay marina??? Colin was there for well over a year... You going put this on the hard here and try to sell it? Moving on the the next adventure.... Im sure this vid is three months back... Delos, Calico, Parley and all passed the channel like 3-4 months ago right... Take care Plukky, love you brother... safe travels man...
Yes my friend but I am fighting back and you guys who believe in the channel will not be disappointed.... There vlog will soar and the videos will only get better. Thank you
