Watched it all! Loved it. Matt/Nancy-any advice for a 50+ yr old male considering buying a sailboat to solo sail (no experience) the Caribbean for half the year? I’ve watched sooo many sailing channels over the years but don’t know anyone that sails (I’m very land locked 😊). I have no practical experience.

There are a lot of great 34-38ft sailboats that would work well for 6months of sailing. Recommendation- Don't get a project boat unless you want to do projects. Get a solid C & C, Catalina, Beneteau, or Pacific Seacraft that's ready to roll, and hire a captain to teach you for your first 4-5 times out. Keep it on the east coast to make it easy to get to the Bahamas.
