First, Thank you both for sharing your adventure. Your videos are fantastic and make me feel like I'm right there with you I just found your channel and started watching your videos last week. The first video I saw was where you hit something that damaged your rudder and hull. My first thought was a whale, as you also mentioned in Ep. 110. I was happy to see it wasn't too serious and that you were able to get it fixed. I've been sailing since I was about 15 years old and have done a fair share of racing both on the east coast USA and in the San Diego area. I'm retired now at 62 and living in Barcelona where I'm looking forward to watching the America's Cup next fall. The Swiss team has been out practicing and I watch them from my apartment with awe. The AC40 and AC75s are unbelievably fast. I used to race ice boats in the NY and New England area and thought sailing at 40 knots on ice was fast, I don't yet have a cruising boat but hope to buy one and do my own cruising in the coming years. I was hoping to do that here in Barcelona but Spain requires various sailing licenses. I have a few ASA certifications but they are no good here. I'm planning to go for the RYA Yahctmaster Ocean cert Fast Track class this fall. By then my Spanish may be good enough to pass the Spain test for offshore sailing. Meanwhile, I crew for other boat owners whenever possible. If your journeys ever take you to Barcelona ora nearby port, I'd love to come and meet you. Meanwhile, I'll keep watching here. All the best and fair winds! Ken

Smiles are just a wonderful inner peace and attitude. ❤ See you next time.✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🚫❄️🚫 🌞✨
Finally you guys are on the right country in the southern cone ! 😇 you would be surprised to know most argentineans never get that far south including me. My aunt just visited a couple of weeks ago for the first time in 70 years that she has lived there ! So loved this episode cause never been there !! 😊
I do like the 'Roxi Cam'. thanks guys, always enjoy your videos! That still shot of the duck getting out of Dodge with the whale behind it was really really good.
The only sailing channel I've ever seen do an episode from Chile. I am glad you have gotten your diesel heater running. I am going to Finish my third diesel heater install next week in my Isuzu NPR Overlander conversion. Of course it is quite warm here, I am just thinking ahead. I also am putting on 2700; watts of solar and a mini split. Keep on trucking folks and I'll keep watching!!!!!!
Great job looking ahead. We did the same and it feels strange to be putting it in while its hot but you'll be glad you did! Thanks for the comment! Chile is great!
Huge thank you for making these videos. Chilean Patagonia is the stuff I dream about day after day, week after week, month after month. Would be nice if you mentioned the names of anchorages you use as you head north along the coast.
Love the views of the huge landscape, keep climbing mountains to stay fit too. So good the friendly locals helped with the repairs, and finding someone very skilled like 'Narciso'.
Nice weather in Chile and whales around. Can’t ask for more! Glad to see you were able to get the sail sewed up and make it safely to Ushuaia, Argentina. What a reception: rain, snow, long waiting time at customs, and race against the clock! 😮 You rock! Facing everything with great attitude.
Another great video. That place down there is beautiful. Loved the Roxy cam. Noticed she was carrying a walking stick for one of you. Thanks for the great editing and narration. Keep having fun, stay warm and stay safe. Bill
Hi Guys, great video and awesome still shots. Loved the new innovation “ Roxy Cam “. I am in mourning here as I to put down Blake the wonder dog, a 14 year old Border Collie. Safe sailing. Cheers Alistair 😮
Hey guys another awesome video of your travels. That was nice that you were able to get sail repaired. That's such a beautiful area you guys are in now .Very scenic. Safe sail
Great video, really glad you are back, loving the Roxy cam, following you across the Atlantic to Azores on June 6th, looking forward to reaching Ilhabela.
I watch a number of sailing channels and I have never seen any boat flying a black ball in the fore triangle when motorsailing. Is it no longer required?
It would be a triangle when motor sailing, a ball would signify being anchored. I have never seen a small yacht do this, but you are correct about what the books say about using day shapes when motorsailing.
Why don't you talk to some of the other boats that work and sail those difficult waters. Gotta be some tough boats there. May be more interesting than just pictures of your boat sailing (that could be still in the great lakes).
