I don’t know what it is about this song, but anytime I hear the singer say “moon, moon princess”, it just invokes such a heartwarming feeling in me! I really can’t explain it If I ever have any children in the future, I’m definitely showing them Sailor Moon!!

I also knew that it was her but yet i remember as a kid how it angered me in how none of the sailor scouts, including luna had no idea that usagi was the moon princess. Like, people! Hello??? Usagi is sailor MOON! That's enough proof! 😂

I've always loved the shadow aesthetic like the one Princess Serenity has going on. Ever since I watched Utena, I developed an appreciation for this art style, and every time I notice it in another anime, I get excited. It's kind of a strange thing to get excited over, but it's so gorgeous and mysterious that I love it so much. It's very aesthetically pleasing.

@@soarixchannel5265 well it was hand drawn and each cell was hand painted back then but either way I love the animation through out the series, what matters most is the story and how they delivered emotional scenes which they did an amazing job on even with the limited time they had to create each episode.

I just watched all of the first season and I totally know what you mean. There's actually little movement in much of the show and the animators use a lot of cost effective tips such as fade ins/outs, sliding, and repeated animations. Can't fault them though, Sailor Moon wasn't huge yet and you can definitely see the animation getting better as the series progressed.

I'm from 2003 and yes, kids weren't as opsessed with social media nor did they start to develop bad body image at only the age of 10, but we had our own share of struggles. Just go outside and be the change. P.S. were I live (southern Europe) kids are ALWAYS on the streets playing around, especially now that they're forced to have online school (they have to sit all the time), so going outside makes them more free.

@@silvergust It was a few episodes before Usagi was revealed to be Serenity when all the senshi think it's Sailor V. It's just kind of silly that they end the episode on a cliffhanger of "what?! Could sailor V be the moon princess?" and then the credits roll and you can see it's clearly Usagi

As elegant and graceful as Neo Queen Serenity is suppose to be, she’s still Serena. While she was dancing I kept expecting her to have some sort of a klutz attack and slip right out of her dress and zoom upside down across the floor, crashing into the wall or something. Or it’s revealed at the end she’s dancing in her room by the door and King Endymion opens it smacking her directly in the face, knocking her out as she slides down the door in classic Serena style. Would have been funny as hell!

This song is girly and corny when first heard but becomes so beautiful and heartbreaking when paired with the final episodes of the first season which are the last episodes where it plays. Such a gentle, sweet and kind little girl... forced to be a soldier. And soldier on she does. EDIT: And I would extend that sympathy on anyone that age and any gender. It's not like "EW GIRLS CANT FIGHT THEY HAVE COOTIES"

The endings of Korean animations at that time were always just a cheap clip show. Japanese created separate animations just for the endings, and the endings of Sailor Moon are actually more artistic than the main show.
