Saints Row The Third for Switch - Good But ONE MAJOR Problem! 

I think if they can fix this main issue, it'll be a great addition for the Switch. For now, proceed with caution! Still a fun game though, are you picking it up?

I wouldn't mind something like a GTA collection on switch. They have GTA 3, San Andreas, and vice city already on the apple and Google play stores. GTA 3-4 on the switch sounds like a no brainer to me

Its so refreshing to see a review mentioning how much playtime was had. You’ll have DreamcastGuy play for 2 hours and he’ll give a full review out so his video could be one of the first. Saints Row was always its own game series, it never tried being a GTA Clone. Just like you don't call Just Cause a GTA Clone or GTA a Driver Clone.

I rolled my eyes when RGT said, "GTA Clone." That term is so archaic and stupid. We don't call Call of Duty a "Medal of Honor clone", or Indie Platformers "Mario Clones." SR2 was better anyway.

After I complete Shakedown Hawaii I’m purchasing this game, no matter what issues it may have. I never played a SR game, but it looks enjoyable 🤷🏽‍♂️

I like the video but I disagree. Saints row 2 was great with the gameplay and also the story. Memorable characters and moments throughout. And it came out before gta on the ps3 and 360

Played a couple of hours and so far i have not experienced any frame rate issues. Its fun going back to this after so many years its a shame it wasnt the first or second game but having a sandbox on the switch is fantastic.

I picked it up today. Didn't pre order. And they only had one copy in the back. Not even on display. And I still got the extra goodies.

From a gamer who has spent the last two night's after work playing it, it's stupid awesome fun. I had forgotten how fun saints row was and having a break for all these year's made the switch release that much better. Minor bugs don't hold it back, this is the game we've been needing for the switch. Do I recommend buying it? 100% yes it's a great game.

Just bought it and excited to play! I can't believe GTA hasn't been ported to the Switch, and I feel they will be soon, and Saints Row people knew it, so they rushed out their port before GTA is announced at E3 in June. GTAV would make absolute bank if they released a Switch version, so there is no reason not to. However, until then, this seems like a really fun game to hold me over!

Imo because it has all of the dlc and all the extra preorder stuff with it, thus makes it worth it. Im not supporting NOS until they fix their issues.

When i saw that they had Diamond Eyes by Deftones they instantly earned my respect. I've been only playing this game in handheld mode and haven't had any major issues. So far it's a fun and goofy game for someones first time every playing a saints row game.

Around 4:25 I realized the back ground music was from sonic. I automatically added the urgent sound that plays as sonic drowns in my head.

Frame rate and performance is an issue since the very first versión of the game on Xbox 360 and PC not really a NS versión exclusive issue.

I absolutely LOVE the Saints Row series !! I have and played all 4 on both PS and Xbox. And today is actually the first I heard about 3 being on the Switch...and I was excited !! I can’t wait to pick it up :) my only hope is that they release the other 3 on the Switch as well :)

I hate when these people call it a 'GTA clone', I used to call Saints Row 1 & 2 a competitor.

I got this game in the mail on thursday. Great game, the only issue I have is then I fire a heavy machine gun in a plane or on the street, the sound cuts out. Then it comes back and cuts out again. Very strange

The first Saints Row was the best one, always enjoyed getting change from the newspaper/vending machines the store hold ups then after that the series started got watered down so hard from SR2nd and up they took everything away

I really wanna get this game and maybe will after a patch comes out. I went to Walmart earlier and they had like 20 some odd Switch games on clearance! Blew my mind. I missed out on a lot of the good ones. But the games were all $15-$17! I picked up NBA Playgrounds 2 and Trials Rising for $30 total. Going to hit up some other Walmarts tomorrow and see what else is kicking. I notice Sonic Mania was $15 and Xenoblade for $17 but sold out. How is this?! Why is this!? Either way...awesome!

Actually they were trying to make there own game but ppl kept saying it was a GTA clone despite the obvious differences so they started turning it into sr3 and so forth all the other crazy stuff in other congratulations y'all ruined another game for boring GTA

My problem with the game is that they left out my personal favorite DLC: The Bloodsucker pack. I enjoyed being able to suck my enemies blood, and gain back my health, then quickly grabbing another enemy to do the same.

It has Mastodon on the soundtrack so it gets a 110 percent recommendation from this guy 😎

The Third was where it hit it's decline for me, I enjoyed that Saints never took itself too serious but going from the general craziness of SR2 to flat out silliness of SR3 was too much too soon. It was a great series that could have rivaled GTA, even going as far as to be a parody of what GTA is/was in the gaming community, but outstayed it's welcome by the fourth game turning the once tongue in cheek GTA spoof into an over the top superhero vs aliens game with Saints row plastered on it.

I’m definitely late picking this game up!!! Just got it the other day and haven’t been able to put it down. Been a long time since I wanted to not go to work because I just wanna get my game on all day but this game does it for me. Not quite GTA but close enough and it’s almost the same experience. Definitely a must have if you enjoy sandbox games and want to collect for your switch.

I'm sick of people calling every open world game a gta clone when driver 2 is very similar to gta 3 and it came out before gta 3 so does that make gta a driver clone, no because each of these open world games are different

It may seem buggy on the Switch, but what people are forgetting is the earlier ports were just as buggy. I can recall several glitches and lockups happening when I first tried it out. Never stopped me form playing.

I had this preordered at gamestop so I got the extra stuff that came with it. I do see the same issues you pointed out. Overall I'm enjoying the game hopefully with the patch next week they have these issues fixed. Anyone who only owns a switch and want their GTA fix this is the game for you

You forgot to mention the bigger issue, no analog triggers. Cars either go full speed or they don't go on the switch. Kinda sucks but still playable with some minor adaptation of your play style. The performance can be fixed with an overclock, assuming you have a modded switch. I believe they fixed it in the patch though idk because I usually do play with overclock

Not every open world game that you can steal cars and commit crimes is a gta clone, that like calling all fps's a cod clone, or calling every racing game a forza clone.

I just play in hand mode. And yea when rang up at $40!! was worth every penny. I hope other company’s see that switch can handle a lot. GTA soon ?

Saints Row 2 was one of the worst PC ports made. After that I haven't bought any of these games until I know how well it runs.

I just installed the patch, its only less than 100mb. But already you can see the significant improvement, it is still far from the PC experience. However the fps is so much better, you can still feel the input lag/ latency for a bit (you will get used to it), theres subtitles now, audio sync still happens here and there. But In general i have fun, thats all that matter. Worth buying.

FFS Its not a sandbox game. A sandbox game has no goals for the player (Minecraft). Saints Row is an open world game.

In Australia it costs 40 AUD including 10% tax in the price tag, which is 25 USD so its funny how its cheaper in Australia than the U.S. for the same game on the switch lol.

I ordered my saints row the third for switch online, for two reasons, 1 like you said it’s a very fun game, and 2 Laura “the Voice acting goddess” Bailey As your custom character’s voice. It’s honestly fun to have Laura Bailey be fowl mouthed in a video game.

I love it how when Saints Row 3 did Flying Bikes and Cars, they didn't just copy GTA, they turned GTAV in to their own Groopee.

Funny how you can stand on the road sometimes for 5 seconds getting out of your car & unlike GTA , where there's a 3 car pile up of annoyed cars, you hear a loud crash in headphones & find yourself bounching off the windshield of a speeding devil may care NPC driven car who just keeps going !😅

Love my Switch, but sandbox games have been clearly lacking. I'd love a big open world racer as well. Unfortunately, the racing games have been lacking as well.

People use clone far too loosely. GTA is GTA because of its story and how the world is structured. Saints Row is what it is because of how batshit insane some of the story is. I mean even the first two games had some insane moments such as a AK-47 wielding stripper in the first game (Tanya) and a gang full of pot smoking hippies who try to kill you by getting you high (Sons of Samedi). GTA and Saints Row are very different, maybe similar in premise but different in execution. Clones are carbon copies. Look on the IOS store and see how many GTA clones there are (Grab That Auto 5).
