I don't know of anyone who can surpass her. Only one other soprano comes to mind but doesn't have the chest voice Hernandez has. Corelli and Tebaldi did a great rendition of this aria. Muehle in my opinion cannot be compared to Corelli. There is no squillo on his top notes and as expected they do not carry the way hers do. Otherwise, he did a very good job with a technically difficult duet.
Muehle sad to say is well past his prime. He does have that Corelli like sound to his voice. Hernandez is Stellar. What a voice she has. Arnold Bourbon Amaral
The two best opera singers of the 21st century! Muehle is a pride for Brazil! Hernandez is Cabellé's legitimate successor! I hope one day to see you singing together in a theater.

I'm in love with her and I felt in love with him today when I sang on the choir of the Liceu Pagliacci and him performing Canio, his voice is so powerful and high notes are thunderous; opera is not totaly dead, there's still hope.
I love her unique voice and how she uses it the grand old style: Strong chestvoice when needed, good natural vibrato and gleaming top notes and always a lot of core to the sound.

e questo tenore? dal web vedo che è brasiliano, chiaramente di origine tedesca, ed ha un repertorio impegnativo, "spinto" e drammatico, anche wagneriano. Molto attivo nei teatri di lingua tedesca, ha cantato già in precedenza in Italia.
Martin Muehle has an incredible ringing tenor; Saioa as Maddalena di Coigny is also very good..... Vicino a te, the finale of ANDREA CHENIER is one of my favourite ever duos/finale of an opera. It's a total inspiration!
Diese Sängerin ist wirklich ein Segen für die heutige Zeit! Ich habe nichts gegen die modernen Sängerinnen, ich finde viele von ihnen sehr gut, aber was Saioa bringt ist einfach fantastisch: die alte Singtechnik! Sie sollte als Lehrerin tätig werden, um neue Sänger auszubilden.
Qué delicia sería que programasen Andrea Chenier en Madrid en el Real y Saioa cantase Maddalena. Su Abigaile era estupenda y espero que su Turandot en 2023 debutando el rol sea un triunfo también. Maddalena gana con su voz pero te enamora, cosa que los roles villanescos no tanto y de otra manera. Brava y confiemos que tu voz siga sonando firme y segura muchos años.
Are you talking about Richard Tucker? I hope not, because if you are, you must be delusional. Richard Tucker was a solid singer with great technique and powerful top. Recordings do not do justice to the voice of Richard Tucker. In the opera house he was a very large voice with lots of squillo and great top notes.

If I were singing this phenomenal duet, and those people were running around in the back and at sides ( I don't care WTF the story is at this moment; it does not matter; this is not a Broadway damned musical; it is an elevated art form) in rehearsals I would bring on a BB gun and start shooting as I sang. And when did Bill Murray start singing opera? He sounds super most of the time.
She is a gem. Unfortunately, the tenor is way out of her league. He is very good but she is much better. I hope that in time there will be a tenor capable of matching Saioa's voice.
