Idk why people are surprised garou is a hero. From day one he always cared about kids and saving them. He’s basically a anti hero ig he hates evil and good. And yeah garou is suppose to transform into something bigger in the next chapter and im not even sure if garou vs saitama is even gonna happen now unless garou is like hey “wanna fight a bit before god arrives” and than blast shows up and is like “not today” than black holes them to god 😂😂💀
What I love about Garou and Metal Bat's compatibility is that they both never back down from seemingly insurmountable odds. These traits of pure tenacity and sheer fucking will is what makes these two stand out from other characters, and also what makes them more than likely to get along albeit in a very sibling-like category of relationships. They just bounce off each other really well and its that chemistry that makes this chapter so enjoyable to read.
I really like this comment. I love the chemistry between Garou and Metal bat and like you said, they could actually get along really well like buddies. Although flashy flash is my fav hero I think Metal bat is “more hero” than any character we’ve seen so far.
Bro, Garou is so kind of himself that he helped the helicopter even teamed up with Metal Bat. OPM is a story not only about Saitama, just an amazing story writing.
That's the whole point of the manga. MC always wins because of plot so the author completely removed all the plot devices and made the mc the strongest from the get go so he could focus more on the side characters.
saitamas spotlight ended with season 1 or after boros' death thats a great way to end saitamas arc and make him a side character that will most likely be relevant again but for now other characters need some development first to make the story more interesting i say its writing 100

Garou and metal bat arguing like kids is my favorite part about this chapter.. I also really like that not everyone sees garou as the bad guy..it is more complicated than that
I cannot stop adoring the writing of OPM. I wasn’t expecting enjoying the anime or even anything related to it considering I’m the type to not like ridiculous anime shenanigans. Honestly, Metal Bat and Garou in this chapter hilariously have that bro kinda relationship. Metal Bat acting as a fight catalyst, picking fights with every chance he can find. Meanwhile there's Garou, the voice of reason. He tryna talk things out so he keeps Metal Bat in check LMAO. That last panel of them smacking Sage Centipede and being all "STFU THIS ISN'T YOUR PROBLEM-" *Loud Train Whistle noises intenisfies* Man, these two are so relatable with most sibling relationships, and I die for that LMAO.
Well, I wouldn't exactly say Garou is the voice of reason, given his tenacity to fight literally every hero just because, but that brotherly relationship is definitely there.

Garou was never a bad guy, in fact, I relate heavily to him He supported the monster in heroes and monsters because the heroes seemed to gang up on the monsters in unfair fights, and in one of the flashbacks, he talks about how the monster the other kids hated was trying to prevent pollution in the ocean or something along those lines, Garou understands that every villain is the hero of their own story, and so, two sides to every story and two sides to ever argument, TWO PERSPECTIVES IN EVERY FIGHT The other thing is that Garou was challenging heroes to get stronger and teach them a lesson, he never wanted to become a monster, even cussing out the monsters when they captured him from his fight with Silver Fang and his brother, he just wanted to become stronger and teach the heroes a lesson Garou isn’t a bad guy, in fact, I’d say he’s a true hero, so many heroes spent so much time in the series just trying to stroke their egos, but Garou’s starting story was to teach bullies a lesson and to overcome his shortcomings, a rather justified and humble origin I love Garou, easily one of the best characters from OPM

Honestly Metal Bat and Garous relationship reminds me a lot of Yusuke and Kuwabaras. Even though Garou knows he could at this point in time beat metal bat anytime he wants, they still argue with eachother and buttheads like children. Alot Of Memories
In power, I guess metal bat will loose, if you look at the panels very carefully, you will see that metal bat reacts always to garous movements. Even when garou is trying to overtake the centipede to save the helicopter, I do not think he was reserving his speed for that and yet you see metal bat catching up. I am not saying metal bat will win in a fight, I am sure he can at least give a good fight.
As long as there is water, Evil Natural Ocean will not be dead, not even Serious Punch can obliterate ENO. Does this mean, ENO is even more powerful than Boros?

Evil Natural Ocean senses killing intent and reacts to it near instantaneously. Saitama never had any killing intent when facing the monster. Punching it seriously was how Saitama expressed annoyance to getting wet.

What I find amazing and mind boggling about Saitama’s strength is the fact that his punches which are a physical thing, can kill anything, like things that are even made of energy or shouldn’t be killed like water. Like what exactly is imbued into his punches apart from strength 🤔
That's because he yearned to end any monster in one punch. He says that when his flashback was shown in ep1. He believed in it and he got the power. Kinda like how that crab monster was because he ate so much crab. This is also the reason he can't fly or breathe in space since he believes humans can't do that. That's what he tells Genos when the latter asks him on his way to the House of Evolution.

It's already been stated that Saitama simply trained and broke his limiters to reach his astronomical strength. No manga or anime shenanigans, just raw human training.

I think ENW will be back in the middle of the Garou vs Saitama fight, and I have good reason. So far Tatsumaki, King, Blast, Silver Fang, Flashy Flash, Atomic Samurai, Genos, Puri Puri, Drive Knight, Child Emperor, and now Metal Bat are getting new Feats and moves... Metal Knight called in sick... Who does that leave to have a big feat against ENW? Well its not going to be Zombie man, his time will come later... only can be Pig God vs who knows what Evil Natural Water will do next.

ENW has an eye fly off... he wasn't completely disintegrated, if anything Saitama did as much damage to the Ocean version as Garou did to it's last incarnation. I also said I have no idea what farm it will take next... but Pig God still has a move that hasn't been seen by us yet... and every hero and villain on the battlefield is getting a new feat to show their power... it's foolish to assume well Pig god is the exception and he is too tired to do anything.
Why do people keep calling the creature that bestowed power upon Homeless Emperor "God"? Only character reliable enough to be able to know that is Blast, and he doesn't refer to it as "god" once. The couple of times he mentions the creature he refers to it as "it", not god.
I think it’s due to the fact that Homeless Emperor himself referred to the creature as “god” so that’s the name everyone is referring to it as until further notice.
I love how Metal Bat looks so much like an inspiration and mix of Yusuke + Kuwabara from Yuyu Hakusho. Of course there are many other famous japanese 'bad boy gangster' that he was inspired by, but I like how it reminded me of my two beloved 'bad boy good boys'.

Did anyone here notice the obvious Bleach tribute from the fight with Byakuya and Kenpachi vs Yammy / MetalBat and Garou vs Sage Centipede? The moment they argue and beat the shit out of the monster once he got close to them.
Yeah MB and Garou is very familiar, in personality and even in their power skill, MB also hv ability increase his power base on how long he fight and how much he beaten up, but the difference is Garou stack is permanent, meanwhile MB will get reset after peace time. I really like this scene, since perhaps later Garou will also get defend from MB, when Sweet Mask want him dead so badly, plus MB is so hate Sweet Mask too
Garou and metal bat has also similarities like they can adopt every opponent attack they're also become more stronger if they received a lot of damaged
i would love so see a monster hand blast his ass to him. while the other heroes stan and watch because there to scared to move. right when blast is about to get killed saitama comes in and does a serious x5 punch and see the monster be obliterated. him getting promoted so s rank class one and. the other heroes seeing him for what he really is. the strongest hero in their universe. it would be a good end to the opm series or just a amazing thing to see.

It’s funny, I still read the manga on my own but then when I check in here, it brings more thought to my own deconstruction of the chapter and I appreciate you so much for that.
In my opinion i personally feel there is only one way to beat Saitama, and that is to make him question his ability to be a hero. Many villains have tried to outpower him, outspeed him...it doesnt really seem to work out. But none have even come to test his resolve of being a hero. So how can this come about?/ I would say not by attacking him directly obviously. BUt lets say creating situations where he is present at the moment lives are lost or making him somehow directly responsible for a loss of life. I just feel a villain to defeat him should not fight on his homegrown which is absolute strength durability and speed.
Garou is somehow as equal as Stain on My Hero Academia, with the difference that Garou has no favorite hero, he simply despise all of them as selfish egomaniacs. The scene metal bat and garou yell Shut UP at the centipede while striking it, reminds me when Guevara and Oliva were talking and Baki intervene saying that they should fight for real and both hit baki at same time, telling him to shutup. Idk i just got a feeling it was a homage to that scene. Btw, i think in the end there will be more overpowered creatures. Some people might say that blast was weaker than saitama, but the limiter is like a XP bar. Once its broken, the cap is unlimited and it grows second after second. Even saitama noticed that cause he was daily getting stronger until the point of no return so i assume Blast has is limiter broken as well, cause the guy is fighting the freaking God itself. In the end I think we might see Blast, Saitama and Garou fighting something that is beyond Good and Evil I would add genos, king and sweet mask, but I am no sure if they would turn that way. Anyway, it's great to see more characters out of curve like saitama!!
I like the Manga but I feel like it adds a lot of useless side characters that end up being disposed of quickly; this is probably just me though as I prefer the original web comic, so these extra characters just feel that way to me.

Garou was caught off guard and if zenko wasn't there, Garou would of died and none of his monster transformations would have happened, but since a weakened metal bat stopped the attack, the winner of the fight still remains to be Garou. This is not the main point of my comment.
Well he is the main character but for the sake to make this show hella interesting it's cannot focus on Saitama all the time or its going to be boring since we all know how strong he is and he going to win in every fight. That's why this show need to focus on side character as well gave them a chance to shine.
The scene with Metal Bat and Garou reminds me of DxD the episode where Issei would tell akeno to go on the date, her power increased comically Few secs later, Rias and Akeno bicker and the enemy is irritated because of the 2 not paying attention and then Rias and Akeno both saying SHUT UP
