Saitama VS Popeye | DEATH BATTLE! Reaction (feat. the Death Battle Discord!) 

I don't usually watch reaction vids for new episodes, but I knew I had to for this one. When we started working on Saitama vs Popeye, I knew it was going to be the GOAT of this season, and I'm so happy it turned out beautifully. I've loved everyone's reactions to all the big moments ("Hmmm, I can'ts read tha-"; the continent flip; 3D nightmare/meme Popeye; DEATH vs SPINACH; Saitama's emotional speech) and I'm just so stoked! Getting to voice Popeye was just the icing on the cake :) glad you guys liked it!

another lovely element is that popeye more or less STARTED the superhero genre by accident. Superman was inspired by him and payed homage to him through 'captain strong'. Which eventually lead to saitama, a reaction to the modern superhero. in other words, popeye was fighting his legacy, while saitama was fighting his one of the trailblazers of his genre.... and both of them were loving it.

This is one of the best episodes of Death Battle, hands down.

Honestly seeing the episode and reactions to the episode makes me so happy. The season as a whole was great but this episode…it’s not just an episode but an experience! The animation is the main thing that makes Saitama vs Popeye my new favourite episode. The analysis and conclusion was also good but the fight alone made me just as happy as Saitama in his final moments. Here’s to another season of D.B!

Wow, this one was amazing. Everything here was so good that I've got nothing to say here. 10/10. But to go in depth, the analysis for both was good, they went over both characters very well, they removed the Boomstick's Dad joke from Popeye's Preview, thank you, and they were entertaining. The Fight on the other hand is awesome, the hand drawn stuff is so good, the actors killed it in their roles, the dialogue was perfect and there was a lot of passion put into it. Death was creative, fake out caught me off guard and the animation shifts were well done on all ends, even though Popeye's 3D model looked cursed. The conclusion was also very in-depth, finally debunking no-limits Saitama and overall being very good. This is probably my favorite of the season, I thought Yoda vs. Mickey or Dio vs. Alucard would walk away with the title, but I was wrong. 10/10, what a season Overall, this season was great, only 2 duds, only half as many Marvel and DC as last season and I had a blast this season. I'd call this just as good as Season 5. Now for Next Season, time to play my favorite game, Guess the characters in the next season and try to figure out who they'll be fighting! First up is Tanjiro from Demon Slayer, he's fighting Jonathan Joestar, hoping the animation is really good for this one since both of these series have incredible animation. Next is Scarlet Witch, Wanda is fighting Zatana, if they improve on Strange vs. Fate and make it more fair and have more spells on screen, this could be something magical. Next is Tetsuo from Akira, he has 3 options, Magneto, Mewtwo or Accelerator from Raildex. Magneto seems the most likely, and I have grown to like the idea, just have the two throw stuff at each other, make the finisher brutal and we're good. With Mewtwo, hopefully we get a good episode with him this time, since the Multiverse Match between the two was great and I'm hoping that they will expand on that. And Accelerator? Not sure, hopefully it will be good. Then there's Deathstroke, who will fight either Captain America or Taskmaster. I'm hoping it's Taskmaster, but Super Smackdown is doing that one, so it would have to be Cap, which is a shame since I'd rather have him fight Kamen Rider Ichigo. Vegeta either fights Thor or Phoenix Ikki. Ikki would be the one I'd like, but Thor is the more popular one, so it would have to be him, they already had their best fights in Season 1, and I don't think this one would top either of those. Then there's a Mandolorian character, if it's Mando, he fights Goblin Slayer, if it's Boba Fett, he fights Wolf, Sledge or a rematch with Samus. I'd go with Wolf since Sledge is a lesser known Power Rangers character and a rematch with Samus would Upset me. Finally, Jinx from League of Legends, who fights Harley Quinn. Looking forward to the next season.

My predictions for the 6 matchups Tanjiro vs Jonathan Vegeta vs Thor Wanda vs Zatanna Boba vs Predator Jinx vs Harley Quinn Tetsuo vs Magneto

I thought I was the only one excited for my boy Tetsuo being in DB. Anyway, yeah this is among the best death battles ever made.

personally I would want Erza vs Archer instead of Erza vs Saber, because all the various weapons going against one another would be a more interesting idea than "two knight ladies" imo.

I actually think Boba Fett is gonna fight The Predator is a heavily debate topic from what I seen and it was Community Death Battle in the earlier episodes And while Jonathan vs Tanjiro is probably my most hype MU since I really like both of this characters a lot, I’m most hype to see Tetsuo, even If I haven’t seen Akira as of now

The Most Best Epic Battle! 🥳 Saitama finally found the strongest opponent with who he had always dreamed of fighting! He was able to experience strong emotions again, as at the very beginning of his path to becoming a hero! Sad he is died and turned in Egg ... since this is Death Battle 😕, but Popeye's ToonForce is so absurd that he can revive Saitama anytime he wants!😀

This was the first death battle that reminded me of the joy I got watching the older death battles. Dead ass might be my second favorite death battle of all time. Now as for the next times. Tanjiro: I’m glad we are getting Demon Slayer Reps. But why is it gonna be Jonathan? Scarlet Witch: a Marvel vs DC fight that is actually unique? I can live with that Boba Fett: figured samus would return before him. Vegeta: beat Goku could beat whoever his opponent is Tetsou: haven’t watch Akira. Don’t kill me please Jinx: RB YOU FUCKING IDIOT JINX IS FROM LOL NOT ARCANE. GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT. Not gonna cap. Next season got a lot to live up to.
