Awesome deck tech, I love decks themed around theft! I was wondering if you would ever consider going back to some of your older budget decks from a few years ago and redoing them with all the new cards that have been released since then. Keep up the great work!
Great video! I always enjoy watching these videos. I’m a pretty new player and your videos helped me learn different aspects of the game I don’t experience in my playgroup. I’ve often used your deck techs as a guide when brewing my own decks, especially the mana base for my budget Golos deck, so thank you for all the work you put into these!
Hey definitely Mitch, not sure if this was intentional or not but the price of the deck on TCG player is 42 bucks but in the title of the video you put it at 24.
This deck doesn't look too different from my decidedly non-budget Halfdane deck. One upgrade I would HIGHLY recommend if you want to focus on clone effects is Mirror Gallery. It is definitely not budget either to purchase or to cast, but I've found that very frequently the best creature to clone is both legendary and something you already have a copy of.
Great video and deck! Why is spelljack and desertion not in the deck? The whole deck would still be under $50? And great inclusion with corrupted conscience! One of my all time faves!
Whats the point of making these videos when you go to TCGPlayer and the cost of the deck immediately shot up like 50% or more? I just don't understand how to use the fucking site. It says low price is like $21, and when I put it all in my cart it goes up to like 75?? Why cant you tell it to get the cheapest cards available? The cards "only" cost like $35 but the shipping was like 40?? I keep trying to look at these decks but whats the point..
One of my favorite decks is Mimeoplasm clone tribal. I need to carry a bunch of clone tokens and markers for writing on my sleeves. There's a bunch of silly combos, too.
Rofl that would be hilarious now. Just copy someone's commander and make theirs go by by. You know wotc will one day make an affect that is something like "name a non-land permanent. There can only ever be one of those on the battlefield at a time for the rest of the game" or something like that
@@dorsalfin22 when commander was first created that was how the legendary rule worked. Used to be, there could only ever be 1 copy of a legendary creature in play. If a second copy of a legendary creature was cast from anywhere, the two copies cancelled each other out and both were destroyed. So clone was legendary creature removal lol
Dear Mitch, I am fairly new to Magic the Gathering and Commander as a format. I have built all 3 of my decks (Rakdos, Krenko, Skullbriar) with the help of your videos. I had so much fun playing these decks against friends and im always happy when you upload a video. I really would like to thank you for your passion in making these high quality videos. Thank you and keep up the great work ! Also I wonder if you plan to build a deck around "Tazri, Beacon of Unity". I really like the new party mechanic and would enjoy a 5 coloured party themed deck around her.
If you want to make a clone deck for the sake of making a clone deck, I cannot recommend Pir/Toothy enough. Toothy is an amazing payoff for running clones, you can just ingnore the +1/+1 theme for the most part.
Great video, "Mitch". Clone builds are so fun. I have terrible memories of building a 60 around permeating mass for a similar reason. This looks a lot more playable though.
Love your vids. Even though you take most of your recommendations from patreon, I still wanna suggest an Atemsis, All-Seeing deck tech. I find alternate win condition commanders can be really fun and challenging to build with a tight budget and I want to see how you work around it.
Unfortunately no. Phased out permanents don't actually leave play: they just temporarily stop existing. So when a permanent phases in, it just starts existing again, so there's no time where it's coming into play. It would work against mass blink effects like Yorion though
@@delasvegas9644 that’s a real shame, but that makes sense though. Would’ve been fun to just seize a whole board like that but it makes sense. I see the difference now though, spells like yorion have the key phrase “return to the battlefield” as opposed to “phase in”
