+Matt Berger Yeah sure... Have you ever bother looking at actual rotoscoped animations? Rotoscope can't escape from live person's constant subtle movements and actual body proportion. Unless you can find those factors in above mentioned animations, your claim is invalid

I have seen many rotoscoped animations. It's all depending on the animation director's guidelines. You can escape any "person's constant subtle movements" if you use are knowledgeable in animating anything. For example, the film A Scanner Darkly has many parts that deter from the source on several occasions. I wasn't saying those shows were completely rotoscoped. There are hints of it in them. Kid's Story you can see it is highly stylized/rotoscoped. Also, next time you comment, try to be nicer. Some people may see you as a rude troll.

+Matt Berger I'm sorry about my tone, but I don't agree with your assertion. If something is rotoscoped, whether it's moving or not, a lot of unwanted visual elements sticks out like sore thumb. Since you brought up a rotoscoped movie, I watched Flowers of Evil and rotoscope in that show made it hard to watch even though it tweaked a lot. I'm defending Ohira's work because I also check my Japanese resources along with English resources.

They aren't facts, as I'm sure you're aware. You can literally watch the making of process for Kid's Story and there is no rotoscoping.
