Indeed i just saw his stream and he was really happy cause he know ho much the team work in the game and how sakurai works so hars to get characters starting with cloud banjo kazui i dont know how its writen lol so everyone must be happy this game exist

Sakurai tried to protect all the other companies from the harassment of the toxic smash fans, by taking it on himself. The death threats he received could have been aimed at Disney and Square Enix, resulting in no SSBU. Real respect here.

Sakurai can't even talk about games he likes without Smash fans going apeshit and thinking he's doing character research for Smash. And by "Smash fans", I mean specifically North American Smash fans.

I also just realised now that introducing Sephiroth halfway through the DLC pack was a very chess move. Not only did he allow for the addition of more FF representation that was lost with Cloud's inclusion, he also became the appropriate opponent for Sora, raising hype to a level that transcends the original crossover in KH2.

This was more than a collaboration. It was a trilogy of deals between major corporations that thankfully ended in this outcome. And throughout this whole ordeal, those who called themselves followers crucified the man responsible for this miracle.

@@AnakhaSilver Are you kidding me? We're gonna get it confirmed that the place Cloud and Sephiroth went to in KH2 was Smash and Ultimate happens when Sora went off at his own in KH3 and brings Cloud and Sephiroth with him back home afterwards. I mean probably not but it's actually perfect.

@@Millicente he's not wrong. Doom Guy one, doesn't fit as well in smash (he'd be better for a more graphic fighting game, like Mortal Kombat, that way he can keep his brutal tendencies). Two, has only became a popular choice recently. Three, his presence was kickstarted by a joke that became serious, just like Waluigi was, if not slightly more grounded. In comparison, Sora is a childhood hero, a representative to good old light, a long time most requested character with impact and modern *persistent* relevance, a fitting character that both older and new fans can enjoy as some grew up on him, and some were brought in with the newer titles. Sora has also been on Nintendo Consoles consistently, most of them having been required instead of optional in comparison to say, Doom II, which could be played on Game Boy Advance, but you could also play it on many different forms of PC, as well as most forms of XBox and Playstations as of now. Meanwhile, the only game I listed of KH to have a proper port out of the nintendo releases is CoM, which was completely reworked as a PS2 game and rereleased in the bundles later on, specifically 1.5 Remix. The only issue was Disney here, and we have heard before that Disney themselves would've been happy to bring Sora in, but talks clearly had not gone through till more recently. It probably helps that Smash is far more of a cultural phenomenon, meaning it's more relevancy for their IPs.

well, both can kill. just one is more effective at it then the other.

Which can shoot lasers, fireballs, glitter, and lacks a sharp edge entirely on 99% of the various keyblades. Blade is entirely a misnomer. But Keybat doesn't roll off the tongue as well.

Except when decides to be sharp and cut buildings in half.

This is why I'm glad no Disney characters or references were included with Sora outsideof the keyblade's chain. The floodgates would have opened for non gaming characters and it would just ruin Smash.

People can HOLD the Keyblade, it's just that Sora can summon it to his hand at will, so most people won't get the time to USE it.

@@christianwright7581 I mean, a Keyclub is pretty accurate. The normal Keyblades are non edged weapons, closer to axes than even swords. There are some exceptions of course, like Two-Become One, and Way to Dawn, but most of them are *primarily* blunt weapons and thus, not proper blades.

Square Enix has been supporting Switch like crazy. Porting various Final Fantasy games and even putting out some quality exclusives like Octopath Traveler.

Might be because of the little circle at the top connecting to the chain that's keeping it from counting. I think what Disney's definition of a Mouse Ears is it has to be three circles set up to resemble Mickey's head, no more and no less.

I guess it's just kinda upsetting to see a franchise turn into a moneygrab over the years. As Tom said, KH3 is the *thirteenth* game. Let's be honest, there's not a single franchise that truly needs that many one-offs and mid-chapters between the "main games".

@@fsmazz I mean, at least quite a few of the side games are actually fun with interesting quirks to set them apart. Also, reminder, Kingdom Hearts ain't done yet. KH4 is confirmed, as it will be the end of Sora's Arc, and these first games are only the end of the Dark Seeker Saga. Just hope that they return to their prime content quality like with KH2, because while KH3 was pretty, it was rather lacking in anything other than pulling most of the plot together that was established before.

@@KyRex1783 On the plus side, he’s the 7th DLC character in the Second Fighter Pass counting Pyra and Mythra as separate entities (which as you said the website does), so that’s one bit of light against those three darknesses. Edit: technically four darknesses because Sora brings with him 13 spirits: Eight for the DLC spirit board and five for his Fighter Spirits. Sora might actually be in trouble. Three is one thing but he’s never taken on four at once.
